I highly recommend this store if you are looking for high quality, American-made furniture. My wife and I live in a small, two bedroom condo. We purchased all of our living room furniture from them and had it delivered around 2 months ago, and just finished placing another order for a dining room table, chairs and a buffet. We love this store so much that after the dining room furniture arrives, we will be ordering new bedroom furniture from them also. The staff and owners of the store are very nice, helpful and professional. The delivery guys were friendly and very good at their jobs - all of the furniture arrived without a scratch and in perfect condition. All of their furniture is custom-made with hundreds of options in regards to fabric choices, materials, colors and patterns. When we sat down to look at some of the fabrics for the couch, Rachel, one of the owners, must have noticed a look of desperation on our faces as we tried to figure out what we wanted. She told us they had designers who could come out to our home to help wade through all of the choices, so we decided to give it a try. That was probably the best decision we made. Our designer was Elisa - she came to our home and spent nearly two hours with us to figure out what we were looking for. A week or so later, she gave us multiple design plans for the living room, dining room and bedroom, and also gave us recommendations on new carpet colors and patterns. To finalize the color and fabric choices, Elisa even met us at the store on a Sunday morning (usually her day off) a few hours before the store opened. Our living room looks beautiful and is very comfortable. Everyone that comes to visit comments on the great looking furniture and loves the way our condo looks. I am so glad we took advantage of their design service, and even happier that Elisa is so good at what she does.

I would be remiss if I didnt take a moment to review this store. My wife and I spent an entire weekend shopping for bedroom furniture at all the big locations; Crate and Barrel, Ethan Allen, the Galleria malls and the chain stores like Havertys and Thomasville. After leaving each place disappointed in either the quality, selection or service we went to Creative Classics in Old Town Alexandria. We were greeted by the owners Scott and Rachel and given a brief overview of their manufacturers and construction methods. After looking through the beautiful showroom we turned to the special order books and found exactly what we were looking for. We wrote down the prices and turned to the internet to do some research. It turns out the prices at Creative Classics were five percent less than the cheapest price we could find on the internet. That was before we received a five percent military discount! Not to mention that an internet order from another location would incur about $600 in shipping charges for the five pieces that we wanted. Creative charges only a $75 delivery fee and recommended a few charitable organizations for us to donate our old furniture. The furniture isnt cheap but it is solid hardwood and made in Vermont by American workers. You wont find any cleverly disguised veneered particle board in the showroom. The quality is outstanding! We are proud to keep our money in the USA and support this local, family-owned and operated business. All in all we are elated with the quality, price and service we received. Rachel even helped us custom order a support system that would preserve the warranty on our Tempur-Pedic mattress without altering the appearance of the bed. They are very knowledgeable about their products. Now we just have to wait for delivery! I cant say enough about Creative Classics. Highly recommended!

Yes, the furniture here are expensive, but as someone (like me) who does research first, the prices in this store are lower compared to online stores. The quality is superb! You can easily tell a cheap furniture from other places to the high-quality ones you would find in this store. Customer service is excellent. I like the fact that the staff dont follow you around persistently -- they would just let you take your time. If you ask questions, they would give you the best answer without even overly-pressuring you to buy (unlike other commission-based stores). I bought a Copeland bed in this store last year and it has even gotten better after a year (the wood stain matures beautifully over time). Nonetheless, theres a downside to visiting the store in person -- you would literally salivate at the sight of the fine furniture on display. Oh I almost forgot to mention the muscular delivery guy (cant remember his name). When I first saw him I thought to myself -- if this guy wrestles with me, I would get defeated in less than a second so I will minimally interact with him. But I found out that hes super nice and I also learned that he is the son of the owner. Let us support this local family business. Indeed, they are truly deserving of a 5-star rating.

I bought a comfort sleeper from creative classics last year and it is truly awful. I happen to like the way it feels in the bed mode, but I also like sleeping on the floor. Ive had several guests ask for the aerobed on the second night. So I no longer use it as a sleeper. But to make matters even worse, its terribly uncomfortable as a sofa. It felt nice and firm in the store. But in our den, the kids wont sit on it because its hard and uninviting. There is no cozying up for a movie in this thing. It feels like it is pushing you off! All in all, a big mistake and I recommend to my friends to get something else. A neighbor bought the Axis Sleeper from Crate and Barrel and it is luxuriously cozy (and reasonably priced). I plan to get it as soon as I can find someone to take this beastly comfort sleeper off my hands!!!

We had a great experience purchasing a couch, as the sales rep was friendly and helpful; however, we received a call the next day in which we were informed the couch actually cost almost twice as much as we were told. We had already signed and paid for half of the price, with the second half due on delivery. Rather than try to work with us to rectify this issue, the owner called for a "do-over" in which we would pay the new, drastically higher price, and yet expected to keep our business. Obviously this came off as a shady business practice so we got a refund and will not be buying anything from them in the future.

I cant say enough good things about Creative Classics Furniture. We worked with designer, Elisa, who nailed the scale of furnishings we should purchase for our condo. It was worth the wait of 10 weeks. All the furniture is made in the U.S. As an aside the owner , Scott who we had the pleasure of meeting one Sunday afternoon in the store, offered a chair from the warehouse while waiting for our furniture to arrive...of course we took him up on the offer! Great staff, local family owned and operated. A real treasure in Alexandria VA.

As an architect, I truly appreciate the quality and style of the furniture at Creative Classics. The furniture is made in the USA clean, modern, classic, arts and crafts style. Think dovetail drawers, mortise and tenon, high density foam. Pricier but this is furniture you cherish and save for. It’s great to find local and very personal stores such as this especially in the age of internet shopping.
