My name is Stan Crews and I am the general manager here at the Red Barn furniture outlet. I normally would not use this forum, but I feel the need to to share an unusual story that happened here on 9/10/16. I will attempt to be brief and I apologize if it feels a little long winded. If you read to the end I think you will find it worth while. September 10th started like any normal Saturday but turned out to be anything but normal. A young couple with their small child came in searching for family room furniture. My salesman Derek answered all of their questions and they decided to make a purchase. He brought them to the front of the store to finalize the paperwork and at this time another customer walked in the front door overhearing parts of the conversation. Derek informed them after tax and delivery their purchase totaled $2405. As they reached for their card to pay, an interesting magical event started to unfold. The gentleman who had overhead the earlier conversation leaned in and said "Have you two ever heard of Christmas in September?" They both smiled and responded No. This man then pulled out his credit card and asked to pay for their Entire purchase. The young couple was absolutely blown away! Very emotionally and thankfully they showed their gratitude to the gentleman. It occurred to me that I had never seen anything like this in my 30 plus years in this business. Not a day goes by that I dont see discouraging news on the tv, newspaper or social media. This generous random act of kindness reminded me that there is plenty of good in this world. I will go out on a limb and say that this young couple and their son will never forget what happened to them that random Saturday in September 2016. My hope is that this will instill some compassion and generosity everytime they sit on that magical Sofa and loveseat. Sincerely, Stan Crews

We had a great experience buying a new sectional sofa, coffee table and bar stools at Red Barn. The shopping experience was wonderful with just the right amount of help and information from our great salesman Derrick. I really loved the giant computer kiosk that showed even more choices in addition to the huge warehouse full of really nice and unique pieces. We found the perfect sofa with Derricks knowledgeable and energetic assistance. I was actually enjoying myself so much that I purchased a beautiful coffee table on impulse. Our furniture was delivered today as promised and the delivery folks were very careful and took their time setting everything up and pointing out features I didnt even realize the sofa had! The furniture all arrived in beautiful condition and it arrived quickly since we had ordered it a week and a half earlier. I couldnt be more pleased with this furniture shopping experience and whole heartedly recommend this great place. Well worth the drive for Richmonders but we are lucky they are right up the road from us!

We cannot recommend Red Barn Furniture enough. We were moving into a new house and needed all new furniture. We visited the store on a Saturday morning and by noon had picked out 21 pieces of furniture that we were very excited about. Our salesman, Derek, went above and beyond from the minute we walked in the door, offering great suggestions and honest feedback if he knew a certain piece would not fit our house, etc. The delivery team was great too, setting everything up perfectly and showing us how the different features worked. We are very thankful to have found Red Barn. We will definitely be back for future furniture purchases!

They sell furniture leftovers from furniture manufacturers or showrooms. If they have what you want then you are in luck. If not they do not order from a manufacturer for you. The person serving me was not at all helpful once he realized he did not have the piece I was looking for.
