After spending the entire day, on a rooftop, in Stockton of all places, I thought it would be nice to go down the freeway a bit and check this place out. Im not usually in the area so I figured why not? Its a pretty neat experience walking in the first time. Theres a huge artificial redwood tree with an archway you can walk thru; I honestly thought I was in briar woods and would end up in Frontier land! Excellent marketing. A store you want to spend hours in with some decent prices to boot! The place has a section for literally every member of the family. Theres little wooden rubber band rifles & guns, plush ducks, beavers, among other critters that might be hunted. Some make noises that sound like the actual critters so kids can learn to identify their sounds. Theres lots of casual mens wear and womans wear, I actually found some nice carhart jeans that fit my cyclists thighs (I always felt like the hulk whenever Id try on conventional straight leg jeans. I wanted to bend my leg and see if theyd burst, lol) that dont look like straight carpenter pants. Nice blue jeans that dont cost $99.00 and have ripped holes in the knees. I cant believe some men buy that crap, but I digress. Theres a huge man-made waterfall at the back of the park. I mean, store. That cascades into a huge freshwater aquarium containing all the fish one would expect to catch at your local lake. Really cool seeing the huge catfish and bass (I should have taken pics. I know.) putting around. The fudge shop. Smelled like bliss. I didnt even want to look because I havent the will power and I dont think Id seriously be able to handle the sugar! Lol. This is where the entire family picks their favorite treat though. Cool stuff. This is not merely a store, its an attraction, for the whole family. Lots of everything for the outdoors and fun. Five stars because it was a fun place to shop and prices were big box low.

Horrible service here, manager of Gun Department Adolf is rude and aggressive. I came in certain of what I want to buy. by which they did not have any way so I chose an alternative firearm. When I was asked to present my driver license I did, but my driver license was a bit old but not expired. It had an old address on it which I stated to him. Also after which I asked can I bring in letters with my current address, a light bill, phone bill ect. But instead I was told to go to a DMV with a malnourished attitude. because I could not purchase a gun with just that information. I know the law and the same applies when purchasing a gun wiyh that information in hand. My information is acceptable when purchasing a gun with letters of verifiable address. After a rude experience I chose to make a complaint against the manager of that department. I thought he was profiling me from the beginning with his aggressive intentions of turning me away from the beginning. I arrived at the customer service desk only to be followed by the same man that I just had a conversation with. Hiding behind store pillars so that I wont see him behind me. Such a demented psychotic man he was. All well I finally got another manager to show up to the desk. I dont know his name because he didnt have a name tag but clearly he was much better at customer service then the department manager of the gun section. This new manager told me all I would need is a voters registration card but really I didnt even need that if I just had two letters of verifiable current address. I respect him because he tried to help the situation ask for adolfo I hope you get some help, stalking and harassing another isnt legal ya know. Check Mate!

I was in the Doral store (inside Dolphin Mall) today to purchase a trolling motor that was on sale. Much to my surprise after I drove 15 miles (its the closet store) they dont have any. Not just the one I wanted but NO trolling motors in store of any size or brand. When I asked why I was told "they were sent out for inventory". Im still confused what exactly that means. No wonder retail locations are going out of business. UPDATE (7-8-16) - I am updating this review, although the above statement did happen after writing an email to corporate the store manager Chris called me. He apologized for the confusion, yes they are doing inventory but they had a meeting an advised the staff that if they sold anything counted to make a note of it. The associate may of misunderstood the message. Chris went out of his way to apologize and gave me an extra discount on the item. Do to the wonderful handling of the situation I cant give anything less than 5 stars. They called me back the same day and Chris made sure to pull the items I wanted to the side so I can just go to customer service and pay for them as the items have already been pulled. This is defiantly how you handle issues from a customer service standpoint and greatly appreciate their effort to resolve this situation!

Gun department needs work. Stopped by looking for a Taurus Ultralite hammerless revolver. The guy behind the counter looked at me like I was crazy and told me "Theres no such thing as a hammerless revolver." Wow, ok. A few months later I returned and saw the exact gun I had been looking for previously (Taurus Ultralite hammerless) in the case. Same employee was there and I asked him to pull the gun from the case. An antitheft device filled up the entire trigger guard so I asked him to remove it so I could properly hold the gun in my hand. His response was, "No, I cant do that." Considering nobody in their right mind buys a firearm without getting a feel for the grips and trigger first, the gun went back in the case. It was a loss of sale to Bass Pro Shops, and very frustrating for me as I havent been able to find the gun anywhere else. NEVER heard of a major gun retailer, or small shop for that matter, with any such policy. Plenty of other gun shops from Miami to Palm Beach...

Ive always been coming to this bass pro shop. I had received a gift from a family member and they apparently lost the gift receipt so I figured since I still had the bass pro shop bag and the original sticker with the price and barcode and the sticker form the salt life shirt. I would be able to return it without a problem. Well lets just say that the manager didnt seem to care about helping me she just said no sorry I need the receipt. So I didnt want to argue I just walked away. I just called the other store in Dania Beach and they said yes well return it as a courtesy without even asking about what type of shirt it was. Now thats what you call customer service maybe you guys can get some training on that. Even though its a drive for me I rather be treated the right way and not just be brushed away. Thanks again for your concern Bass Pro Shops Miami.

Went there looking to purchase my first firearm, thank God I didnt. I was originally looking for a shotgun but staff where not able to explain to me the process on how to acquire a firearm as an international student (f1 visa) nor didnt even bothered looking it up. When I asked the guys at the weapons isle to see some guns, they just handed them to me in such way I even felt I was bothering them, like my business was annoying, if you are working on the retail business, SELL YOUR PRODUCTS. I decided to take my business to another place and SUPPORT our local gun shops. At StoneHart Gun Club they where extremely helpful to solve ALL of my doubts, even if they where stupid questions, there was always somebody with me taking me throughout the process. I really recommend you look else where, some place where they appreciate you as a client.
