I had to return 2 items that I bought only days ago at this store. They were 2 cockpit covers for kayaks that were too small for my kayaks. Unfortunately could not find the receipt when I got to the counter but knew that at other stores, they usually will give you store credit or can look it up on your credit card you used. Girl at the counter was very nice, scanned my items and looked puzzled...said the computer said they could only give me back .99 cents. She agreed something was wrong...called someone in that dept to look up price (even though it was right on the items and also asked if they had been on sale in recent weeks) They said no, told her same price. She then called a manager as still rang up to give me only .99 cents. Manager came over and went over the whole thing again explaining to him and he then proceeds to tell me that the computer was correct, that apparently last year these items were on clearance for .99 cents and that is what they were entitled to give me back. I told him REALLY!!!! $30 to .99 cents!!!! That is one hell of a sale! Told him that there was no way they could go that low...then told the girl to at least scan the credit card I used which she did and lo and behold there it was! Proof I bought them only days ago and that I spent over $60. She apologized and forgot she said that you can do that. I was not upset with her but the young man who came over who apparently thought I was dumb enough to believe that you actually marked items down almost 100%. REALLY! Scary to think that this guy was a manager. I realized then that I will NEVER come back in your store and yes, I posted this on my facebook. SAD!

Its a huge retailer of course everything is going to cost a fortune. I went this past weekend and ammo prices were the highest Ive seen in years. I had to take the ammo to the front of the store to get a price because a lot of things werent marked and I think they had one person working in firearms. If you go into the store and scan any barcode and looks at prices online with free shipping itll be atleast 20% lesser guaranteed. I will only buy when they have a sale of some sort on a gun or certain ammo and its a fair price but unless that is advertised in a flyer or online dont even waste your time going. Most of the associates are nice people and good to talk to. But they dont negotiate on prices even though their mark up is higher than anywhere else. Really unfortunate. I used to get emails for advertisements and they falsely would advertise certain guns with accessories then when youd go to buy it would not include anything the picture looked like. Theyve been better with that since I complained to their corporate office.

Inventory is very good. Prices are competitive. Customer service is iffy. Brought a bow to get it re-strung. At the firearm registration desk the clerk was rude and indifferent. Spent the first 30 seconds ignoring me while he looked for a pen. There was no eye contact until I asked him where to get my bow fixed. Spent 25 minutes at the archery counter and could not get the clerk there to interact with me. He talked to another customer for 10 minutes without looking at me. I was 3 feet away with a bow in my hand. He went to the backroom for another 10 minutes. He came out, looked at me briefly and looked away. At one point he was within a foot of me. Not a word nor a look. I left. However, they do have good products and the prices are competitive.

Had a rude employee pretty bluntly tell me that #4 buckshot doesnt exist and then suggest to the other employee that he give me 45-70 instead as some sort of joke. Im not sure if the guy is new or isnt a hunter but #4 buckshot is a common shot for small mammals and even home defence. The funny thing about it is I went over to look for some rifles slugs after speaking to the misinformed moron and a hunter and his grade school aged son where standing Infront of the shells. They asked what I needed and I said Im looking for a shot for coyotes. The grade school aged son immediately shot out "oh that requires #4 buckshot right?!" To his fathers agreance. I laughed in my head and informed them that the guy behind the counter said it doesnt exist.

I was in the other day and helped my a woman named Robin. If I remember correctly. I was looking for a thermacell mosquito repellent device in the camping section and she lead me to where to temporarily move them to. I was nervous about buying one and asked all sorts of questions that she was able to answer, as well as tell me about here own experiences with the device. She even showed me one she had in the back, showed me how it worked. Anyways I was sold! I also bought a bottle of permethrin too. If the rest of the staff are as helpful and as friendly as her the Field and Stream Shop in Cranberry Twp has the most dedicated and helpful retail staff one can find.

They seem OK for ammo, but not amazing. Looked for traps in there once and they had the basics. They didnt have body gripping traps though in the size I wanted. I had been looking for some 160s, but they only had some 110s and some larger ones for beavers. Later what real the turn off for me was when I was leaving the store the manager stopped me and asked me if I found everything I needed and I told him no you didnt have the trap size I wanted. He was like we have a very good selection Im sure we have what you need. He was just brushing over me and ignoring what I really needed. Im a bit disappointed with their reloading section as well. It felt a bit sparse.

I have been to the Cranberry store 3-4 times now and have found that I prefer it over Cabelas - for one thing, they have AMMO which you can BUY! Like anywhere, some is priced right and some is a little higher - for example, I bought a 100 pack of Win 22s for $ 10.00 in the store and then came home and found the same thing on Cabelas website for $ 7.99 (unavailable) - the key difference being that I was actually able to BUY it at the store. As far as customer service, I have been pleased - attendants at the gun counter are courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. HATE THE WEBSITE THOUGH - need to be able to look up products and order on line!!!

Overpriced ?/ You be the Judge.. I called to see if they had a Burris 30mm scope mount AR PEPR they did so off I went, I also ask and they had bulk 22LR in stock you did. I did realize I would pay a little more than a on line store for mount (we all do) but when I had the mount in hand it was $190.00 on line it was $84.00 delivered, we all realize that brick and mortar stores need to charge more however over 100% on mount and 15% on 22LR. The bulk 22LR also went up $10 a bucket from just a few weeks ago. I also just spent $2,000.00 on loading components and calculated how much more it would have cost me at Field & Stream $500.00 more WOW!
