TL;DR: Cycle Gear is the AutoZone chrome accessories aisle of motorcycle stores. 95% of the selection is cheap junk. Do not expect to be given good advice by any store employees. Not that good advice is not sometimes given. Customer service is respectful and it seems the employees try to help. But the advice is hit-or-miss and you cant count on their knowledge. If youre smart youre doing your homework online, and you might as well buy your stuff online while youre at it - it will be significantly cheaper. If youre a racer or track rider, expect to be disappointed. Tire mounting and balance costs three times what it does at the track. The staff here is not very knowledgeable about tires and tried to mislead me multiple times into buying tires I specifically didnt want just so Id buy it through them and not Revzilla. Sorry, Cycle Gear, but if youre getting beat on selection, price, AND customer service, just own it and dont try to lie to my face to get my business. I wouldnt be writing this negative review if Cycle Gear was simply mediocre. I shop there begrudgingly if I need something within a day that I cant get anywhere else. So far, Cycle Gear has come through for me on two items: generic bar ends and a dirt bike oil filter. They have failed me on all the important stuff.

Was looking all over town for a leather vest and went here really not expecting to find what I wanted since it looked like they are more of a sportbike store than cruiser type. I was however happy to find that they had some nice vests that were made very well. Jonathan who helped me did an excellent job. I would have given these guys a 5 star but one employee named George screwed it up for them. When I tried to exchange my vest because it was the wrong size he said they had to order my size and simply had me right my name and number on a piece of paper. I waited a day days and called back because I had a feeling he didnt do what he said he would because he didnt even write down the type of vest. Well I was right and the guy did not order my vest but I talked to Jonathan on the phone got it all straightened out and I am not gonna let one bad employee change my mind about the store. Good Job to Jonathan and Cycle Gear for your quality product, pricing, and service.

very reluctant to warranty a road hazard a tire of mine, at first told me my tire was less than 2/32, then measured my tire myself with their Guage and it read 5/32 and his response is "oh wow Im not sure how I mixed that up". then told me I was having to pay 70% of the tire price to replace the tire that I had used less than 30%, he had it completely backwards and was not understanding my point. Went to another location near my house and they looked at my tire when I said it was "trashed" and they measured it and was over 5.5/32. I recommend that the staff should be properly informed on how this system works because the store manager didnt even know. I was expecting to have to pay a prorated amount which I was fine with but when I was told all said and done I was going to have to pay 160 dollars without a new warranty on a 170 dollar tire that had more than enough life left is when I lost it.

I only shop here out of convenience otherwise I would go somewhere else. Sales staff has a lack of knowledge or will miss lead you with inaccurate information. I even had one of the sales staff "DAndre" follow me outside to look at a tire and He tried to hustle me for more than what the store charges to install a tube he even told me that he couldnt give me a recept. So when I got home I realized he left a nail in the tire after replacing the tube I reported it to the corporate office where they did nothing but pass the buck to the area manager and he did absolutely nothing. The guy that tried to rip me off still works there today, so not only was he ripping me off he was also ripping the store off by stealing their business and trying to work under the table. Cycle gear is completely unprofessional, and has very poor management.

I was looking for new street motorcycle boots. I wear size 13, which apparently, is hard to find anywhere. They had my size in several boots! The woman helping me was super patient and friendly. I picked up some Fox adventure boots, took them home, and realized that they wouldnt fit under my gear shift lever. I took them back the next day, no hassle return. I ended up spending $100 more on some Alpine Stars I had been eyeing. They were the same price as online, but I didnt have to wait. Bought them and some other misc gear (gloves, cleaner, etc). They had a pretty big selection for a retail motorcycle gear store, with lots of house brand, but also lots of name brand gear. Great experience! Definitely going back!

So I ordered a tire, they told me $25.00 to mount and balance, great I thought. I ordered the tire online and had it shipped to them since they wouldnt take a credit card payment over the phone, I had to come in and pay in person. Tire gets delivered and I show up to have them tell me they cant mount it unless I take the tire off the bike. Never going back, ever. Plus theyre rude.

Went in there for the first time last week to by 2 helmets and 2 riding jackets. The selection was great and the employees were super friendly and even more helpful. I was impressed. They were as excited as I was about my new motorcycle. I highly recommend this place and will be back many times in the near future.

Over the years Ive bought two helmets, a jacket, gloves, and some other gear. Like any retail store, some know their stuff, some know customer service, some know both. Find that guy and go back to see him every time and you will find this a useful store.

I keep getting disappointed. Great customer-service always friendly and helpful. But deign to many trips with youre not having too much to choose from or in stock. They could use more inventory of all-around stuff.

Nice customer service and knowledgeable staff! Great selection, call to check if they have larger sizes in stock (xxl+) ahead if you need bigger sizes. They also have a clearance section which is priced to move!

I love this place! Everyone is so nice and helpful. They treated me very respectfully despite being a new rider. I go back every chance I get because stores like these are the ones that should stay in business!

Muthafucker almost got me killed when he changed my tire telling me I didnt need an airtube. Lost control on the freeway after my tire went out. Never going back again.
