I dont know about the other guys who left reviews but Ive always had a good experience here. Ive got a Fuel EX and a 7000 (the old one) from these guys and I recently bought my wife a Skye S. Yeah, sometimes they get busy and cant always see whats going on but its more common that someone comes out to greet you. Al and Steve have been there since the dawn of time and if they cant fix your bike then nobody can. The prices are a bit high but youll only pay it once. If something goes wrong bring it back and ask for an adjustment. They know theyre expensive and they do what it takes to match the quality of repair to the cost. Bottom line: These guys have been here for 40 years. You dont get to stay in business that long if you suck.

My son was looking for parts for his bike, Upon calling he said the man whom answered the phone was very helpful and polite. He took his old parts in, to show him so that he may get them replaced. But as it turned out, the man explained how the part would have messed up and explain the only way to fix it so it didnt happen again. He was also able to answer the many different questions of my sons and mine. Even suggested for us to bring the bike by, so that he can see what all was wrong with it, and see if it would cost more to fix then replace. Will defiantly be back and highly recommend this Shop to those looking for help, parts, or even a new bike.

In truth I would not grace the door of this bike shop. I had just moved to Denton and I was about to take a trip so I needed a bike box to ship my bike. I called And asked if they had a cardboard bike box, which are plentiful in bike shops, to which they replied "yes and they are 20$". I was beside myself in 30+ years of cycling with over 12 working in a shop I have never heard of charging anyone for a cardboard bike box. I replied to the store rep that what he just proposed was absurd and that I would never step foot in their store. So were it possible to fractionalize this star oh I would do so.

This is one of those shops, of any type, you always come out of feeling great. I never get the feeling these guys are just trying to sell me something (not the case at some other, close by, bike shops.) Al dropped everything he was doing (and he was swamped) to help me get my bike repaired for "tomorrows" ride. There are some really good bicycle shops around Dallas, but this is easily the best Ive seen anywhere in north Texas. Highly recommended! Ill be back.

I went in seriously considering buying a bike and was completely ignored the whole time I was looking around. I saw a few options that I was seriously considering, but had a few questions. I noticed a couple of employees in the back who never came out to see if I needed help. And the employee at the front desk was talking with another customer, clearly saw me waiting at the front counter, and made no effort to help or greet me. I eventually just walked out.

I took my 5 year old sons bike in to DBC to be repaired. The pedal kept coming off due to a stripped bolt. They didnt have the right bolt so it had to be ordered. When the new bolt came in it was the wrong size. The service guy drove to 3 different hardware stores to find the right bolt. I couldnt believe he went to all this effort and only charged me $10.95 in labor. I will be back when its time to upgrade my sons bike!

Even though I am not a local, (anymore) Ive still been re-visiting DBC for 25+ years. They have a very knowledge-and-able staff, the most knowlegded either side of area 57 that you might even look at. (Actually Roswell is about where my orbits half way P.N.T. is!) Yes, even back in Those days when we were all LUNARs; DBC was where it was at ! Great service, good selection, and as always -a real sence of humor!

Guy was very helpful in my quest for a new bike and told me how to get the bike I wanted even though it was not through them which is astonishing as you dont usually get referrals like that but he was very down to earth and his prices are very competitive with other local bike shops. Has new and old. Want a fixy conversion? They have the cheapest local price out there to my knowledge. Thx

GO TO BLUEBONNET BIKE SHOP IS LEWISVILLE, This places prices are a complete joke,They tried to charge me 10 bucks+tax to put my chain on my bike which takes about 10 min max, i would do it my self but i dont want to spend 20 bucks on a chain de-linker. Bluebonnet bike shop in Lewisville did it for free cause they actually care about riders they have been family owner for like 20 years.

I wanted a mountain bike to ride on our city bike path. I surfed the web and decided on a high end really snazzy model with front and rear suspension, disk brakes, composite wheels and balloon tires. The guys at Denton Bicycle convinced me that what I needed was a comfort bike so I would enjoy myself. They were right and I spent half the jack. Knowledgeable, honest, competitive pricing.

If I need something quick Ill got to a closer bike shop but if I need service or expertise these guys are my first pick (having had bad experiences elsewhere). Last time, I took my bike in for a gear adjustment it came back to me with well tuned brakes and my slowly leaking tire was no longer leaking. If thats part of doing a good job these guys go above and beyond.

I have a $120~ bike, went there to get my bike checked. Prior to this, I had called over the phone to make sure what I needed, was quick and easy. Got there, they were out of cheap plastic pedals, but they did manage to have some metal alloy pedals which were twice the price, he didnt try to upsell, but i ended up buying anyway. Im a satisfied customer.

Denton Bicycle Center has great employees, but the owner is a jerk. Hes the kind of guy where if you were out on a long ride and double flatted and got to his store with $5 and a tube cost $4.99 Joe would let you walk home instead of eating the sales tax. If you have to go here hope you get Al and not Joe.

I was referred by a friend to DBC and was quiet surprised with the amount of attention and dedication Al puts into helping the customers. Prices were good and there is plenty of variety to whatever youre looking for. Drove a couple of hours to get to Denton from OK and will do it again in a heartbeat.

This place sucks. I was really serious about buying a bike, but he blew me off like a college kid just looking at what I couldnt afford. So I blew him off and went and bought a bike at Performace Bicycle Shop in Southlake where the staff was extremely friendly and found the best bike for me.
