VR was the last bike shop I checked in Denton, and to be honest I (and my wife) already had made our mind to buy our bikes from another shop. But I gave it a shot and they changed my mind! Originally I wanted to by a Trek for commuting, but VR guys showed us Cannondale Quick 6 and we both loved it. The bike is smooth, quick (literally), sturdy, and nice! The VR dudes are very friendly and professional. They explained everything about the bike and let us spin them outside. They give us a lifetime free tune up service which is absolutely necessary and useful thing (believe me, if you ride your bike everyday, youre gonna need that service frequently). We bought two Quick 6 and they gave us 10% off the bike price on top of the 10% off of all accessories. Finally, they brought my bike to our place with their van for free! Not that other bike shops in Denton are not good, but I absolutely recommend Velo Republic.

This was my first time to the shop and I accidentally bought the wrong sized inner tube. Called the shop back and told them the box had a slight tear and they said to bring it back even though it was after hours. I hurried back and they worked with me as soon as I walked in the door and told me I could exchange for the right size. Unfortunately they did not have the right valve that i neededwhich I did not catch but was helpfully reminded. I was brought a a lesser tube but he offered to fill it with slime to make up the cost. AND THIS WAS ALL AFTER HOURS. The best bike shop Ive ever been too! Awesome selection of bikes, apparel, parts, and assessories! But nothing compared to the customer service. Absolutely the best customer service Ive ever experienced. I WILL be back.

Easily the best shop in Denton. Its refreshing to go to a high end shop and not receive the snobby attitude that usually comes with it. All the guys that work there are highly knowledgeable and are more than wiling to help you out no matter what type of bike youre looking for. Ive seen them give the same attention to anyone whether theyre a seasoned racer or a first time buyer. They were also more than patient with me when it came to shopping for my cross bike. I came in multiple times kicking tires and asking questions, and while other shops would have showed me the door; Gabe, Nic, and Devin were more than helpful in making my decision and I couldnt be happier. All in all. Great shop. Great dudes, and theyll have my business for a long time.

This review is a long overdue. To preface this, it takes something special to get me to write a review. Simply put, Velo Republic is the only place I would go to with anything bicycle related. Whether you are new to the scene or a seasoned cyclist this place will take care of you. These guys know what they are doing. If they dont have an answer, they find it. If they dont have what you want, they get it. I have personally had the privilege to get to know most of the guys there and they are all top notch people. Each one of them are there for you, not as a customer but as a person. I could rant and rave about this place all day long, but I would highly recommend stopping by. I wont let anyone else work on my FELT bikes!

Awesome experience the few times Ive been in the shop. Ive had a chance to speak with the owner Gabe for a short time, he was super helpfull and got my bike working again in no time. He even stayed late and replaced my tube, before they went on there shop ride! Elliot was helping find the right size bike for my girlfriend, and was super patient with us and explained everything super well. This bike shop is top notch, so is the customer service. Ive been to a few shops around Denton/DFW and this one was by far the best service ive had. I wont take my bikes anywhere else. Thanks again guys!

Velo Republic has set a new standard for bicycle shops in Denton, TX. Long-awaited, cyclists of all levels now have a shop where we can take our rides to be promptly serviced by expert mechanics in a friendly environment. I personally used to drive all the way to Flower Mound to get my bikes serviced. If you still havent given Velo Republic a try, stop driving miles and miles and check it out. Velo Republics owner Gabe Aguilar is one of the top mechanics in the DFW metroplex, and store manager Nic Bagherpour one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable bike geeks around.

The crew delivers high quality mechanic work in an adequate amount of time, while stepping aside to talk with you about the products and help you find the best possible build for a fair price. Super helpful, friendly, and knowledgable people at Velo Republic! I am a bike commuter and popped into the shop one afternoon on my way home with a few problems- one serious. Gab (I think thats his name) made time for me and systematically addressed and fixed my several issues (spoke issues, cable problems, etc) and speedily sent me on my way. What a difference it made to me. Great atmosphere with people who really care about cycling. I am sold.

Finally a great bike shop in Denton! My husband and I went in to check it out the other day and left with a new bike. Everyone in the shop is friendly, exceptionally knowledgeable, and more than willing to answer any questions you may have. Im not a newb but definitely not a super experienced rider, but never felt talked down to or ignored (which happens a lot in higher-end bike shops). So happy to have a top-notch shop in town.

I moved to the area more than a year ago, and my road bike has been collecting dust and cobwebs in my garage since the move. I pulled it out and brought to the team at Velo. They had me road worthy in no time and fixed issues that other shops overlooked before my move. My bike runs better than it has in many years. They are honest and fair with their prices and they do great work. Well worth it, great value!

I took my Specialized Globe commuter bike to Velo Republic because the drivetrain was worn out after constant use since I bought it new in 2008. They replaced the crankset, chain, cassette, derailleur, freehub body, brakepads, and cable and housing for a very reasonable price. It rides like a new bike. Gabe and Nic and their team do great work. Its easy to ride to at a central Denton location.
