The website and the cars with the prices makes it look like the awesome place to go out and buy a car. Affordable prices for the cars everyone wants. When I got my car, it seemed like there was no problems. I stay about 1hr - 50 min away from this place. By the time I was about 20min from home, the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. With this car I may not be on the side of the road, but there are a lot of problems with it. When I would get gas and park it in the garage, the garage smelled with gas. Only to find out I had a hole in my gas tank. The car had a recall on it awhile back, but when I took it in for the recall, they told me the recall had already been done. So I was going around for awhile only filling my car half way with gas so it doesnt leak. My turning signal doesnt work. My from speakers in my car (which I believe was working at first) dont work. I got the gas tank fixed, but a couple of months later now when I get gas I have to constantly gas my car to crank it up (thats with any amount of gas, rather its $5 $10 dollars or filling the car up). My point is, ever since I got this car, there has been problems. With a used car yeah there might be minor things you have to get fixed, but with this car, there was to many minors and a few major things...I paid 5000 something I dont remember, but might as well had of went somewhere else and paid 2000 something more, because I probably wouldnt be having so much trouble. With these cars they seem cheap but you definitely get what you paid for (a cheap car). The cars look good and so does the prices, but Im scared to buy from there now.

My husband and I checked out a few dealerships including this one. We liked the hummer we looked at here and ultimately bought it (wooh!) we liked that the guys werent pushy and gave us our space to actually look at the vehicles. We also liked that they keep all of their inventory covered and immaculate condition. The financing went smoothly, and it took about an hour and a half from start to finish to test drive and buy our hummer. HOWEVER, in less than 24 hours our check engine light came on. I had it checked out and the code says something is wrong with the thermostat...which is going to be about $500 to replace!!! I will update this review at a later time if possible. It makes me wonder what else is going to go wrong, but Im hopeful. We really did like our experience there until the death light came on. For now Im just going to blame the previous owner for being a sly jerk and having it reset before selling it to Republic. *UPDATE* The hummer not only has a faulty thermostat, but the radiator needs to be replaced, which is another $600. When we tried negotiating price with the dealer because the spare tire is so mangled its unusable, he said he had the price set $2000 lower than the MSRP and that we were getting a deal. What he really meant was "the thermostat and radiator need to be replaced--screw you" We will never go to this dealership again. UPDATE AGAIN** the roof leaks and so does the cabin area under the glove compartment!!!! It has only been a month since purchasing! We also have not received our plates and the temporary plate is about to disintegrate.

At first I was really excited about my experience here. Although, I did find it odd that they wouldnt let us have our mechanic check out the car first. We were told that its "AS IS". We cannot bring back the car back for any reason. It was explained to us that lemon laws are for new cars only. However, we were assured that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected by their mechanics. Against our better judgment, which is completely our fault, we bought the car for our daughter. I explained that I need a safe dependable car for her since she is not an experienced driver and I didnt want to finance a car since we figured it wouldnt be long before we would get the "Mom, I had a wreck" call. After we bought the car a few days later it was at our mechanics cause the seatbelt stop working and we wanted to make sure it was mechanically sound. The seatbelt never worked right. As expected, she had a wreck. The air bag did not deploy and the seatbelt did not lock as it should have. I called them to find out how they were going to make it right and they pretty much said it is our problem and the seatbelt worked fine for them. This cannot be true since I have a receipt showing that it needed to be fixed right after it was bought. They do not care about the safety of their customers, period!!

I seldom write reviews, but I am morally compelled to speak about Republic Auto. They are good guys, take very good care of their customers, and try to do the right thing. I walked in without an appointment, enquiring about a $5K car for my daughter. I ran into a nice truck along the way, and my sales rep, Kiya, (who is part of the business) was nice enough to spend his entire lunch time and show me the truck. This is where things got really nice.....he showed me the truck, let me test drive it, and then get me a fair price on it. After pricing it, he took it to the Mercedes dealer and got every small thing taken care of before he gave me possession of it. Let me ask you.....who takes care of a customer like this anymore? So, here is what I have......I have a dealer I love, I have folks who really care about what you speak about them, and I have kids and friends who will buys a few cars over the next few years. I am shopping nowhere else, and I believe you should take my review seriously and give these good guys a chance to earn your business. NICE !!!

Bought a 2004 Ford Ranger from them. Its a tight little truck in good condition and low miles. The morning after I bought it I had trouble getting it to shift into gear. Its a stick. I was able to get it back to them and they replaced the master cylinder, no charge. It drove off just fine but the problem came back. It wouldnt shift. This time I could not drive it. They came to my house and towed it. I was told that the clutch and slave cylinder would be replaced. It was ready the next day. The mechanic showed me the clutch and slave cylinder and pointed out where the slave had been leaking. This fixed the problem. These guys were honest, did what it took to get this truck right, and provided me with a loaner truck each time mine was in the shop. Not only that but each time I got my truck back it had been cleaned and detailed. These guys take obvious pride in their service and treat you like a human being. Im 52 years old and this is the best pre-owned car-buying experience Ive ever had.

Ive been searching within a 500 mile radius for a nice sports car. Found a great deal at Republic Auto of Texas in Dallas. Everywhere else seemed like the vehicles sold were older and very overpriced. I applied for the vehicle I wanted and told the rep I was coming from 3 hours away just to purchase my vehicle. He was very nice and told me they would stay open a little later if I couldnt make it in time. When I arrived I got VIP treatment. My vehicle was sitting outside the warehouse way in front waiting for me. They just handed me the keys and told me to enjoy my test drive on my own. Most other dealers I been to treat you like criminals and have a sales person ride with you. They even compensated me by paying for my rental to get there and reduced my vehicle by nearly an additional 1k. My purchase was very smooth and affordable. I would consider this place in the future if I needed another sports car. I was very happy with the vehicle I purchased.
