Last year I bought a basic 3-speed commuter bike here and promptly got hit by a truck the next week. These guys took great care of me - put together a thorough bike repair quote that I could submit to insurance, provided free labor for all the repairs (free labor for the whole first year really, since I bought a new bike), and gave me unsolicited/unadvertised discounts here and there when I came in to buy accessories. Theyve been very friendly, honest, and hard working. Quality work with no pressure to buy anything you dont need, although theyre happy to give advice / recommendations if you ask. Ive been back on my bike for 9 months now, and by this point when I walk into the shop, they know my name and remember the last few things I came in for. Currently getting my rear wheel rebuilt because the North Charleston roads took a toll on the spokes. :) My only complaint is that you cant turn left out of the shop (have to make a right turn then U-turn), but oh well. Everything that matters about the shop is great, and I send all my friends here who are looking for new bikes or repairs. Thanks Greg!

I bought my first bike in 20 years and had not ridden my recumbent in many years but wanted a utility bike. Went in, met Greg and after a patient hour or so I was convinced that I wanted to buy my next bike from these guys. Took overnight to make the decision ( I research everything) and decided on a Scott 29er in stock. Each time I visit the shop its like seeing old friends and the attention not to mention knowledge is up there with the best. I still own one of my first bicycles - 1974 Schwinn Continental and and my next a 1995 Ryan Recumbent and I would trust them to work on each of them. Great guys who know their stuff.

I somehow popped the tire on my bike and needed to get the inner tube replaced so I came here. Greg is very helpful and will only sell you what you ask for and not try to upsell you anything else. Then when I popped the replacement tube myself trying to install it on the rim Greg was welling to sell me another one and install it on the rim for free!

They are absolutely awesome! I took my mountain bike in to have the rear wheel swapped out and the gears transferred to another wheel. I had misplaced the locking spindle, but they were able to find one that fit and worked. I was in and out in no time and the price was fantastic! Definitely recommend and will be back for any future bicycle needs

The guys here have always been super helpful and accommodating. Ive bought parts and had repairs done and the price always surprises me... its always lower than I had expected. Soon, Im moving from West Ashley to Johns Island, but I still plan to use Ride Bikes for all my bicycle needs.

Guys are great and they have awesome prices way cheaper than Charleston bikes and way faster at fixing the problem. I had a broken back spoke on my bike they fixed it within an hour and cost less than 20 bucks. Other bike shops cost way more and had way longer time estimate

Fun group behind this small bike shop. Great service and they seem to really know their bikes. With the greenway nearby, you can pop in while on your bike. Thursday night group rides the greenway at a quick pace. Lots of fun. Consignment and new bikes to choose from.
