Last September I "really" wanted/needed a fatbike. But I didnt want to drop thousands of $$ at a local bike shop for what could very well be just a 2nd or 3rd bike that I would only use on the sand, not the trails. So I went on the internet and found a deal with the same components or better and had it shipped. While generally happy and I saved about half-price, some of the parts were not well-sourced and broke. Sheepishly I took it into Bike Cycles for help and the staff, instead of giving me the evil eye for not buying local, went over and above with everything from advice to repairs. This was in the fall of 2015 and I just went back today with similar issue. My front thru-axle got stuck and I did not want to force anything and ruin threads in the front fork. The service guy quickly fixed it, offered advice, looked at the line at the cash register and said to forget the charge. I dont regret buying off the internet but now that I know I am hooked on fatbikes ....I do know where I am going for my next bike! Awesome shop and great employees.

GREAT STAFF & EXPERT KNOWLEDGE!! I have been in the market for a new bike since September 2010, and I have shopped around at many bike shops in the DC, Richmond, Raleigh, and Wilmington area. In all probably 30 stores, and BIKE CYCLES made me truly feel I was a valued customer from the moment I walked through the door. Sixteen years ago I got out of mountain biking, so I was not sure on what I was exactly looking for and through Matt, Todd, & Shawn knowledge and easy-going personalities I knew what I wanted. After many hours I decided on the Specialized Stumpjumper COMP 29er, and I couldn’t be happier. The price is right on target with other bike shops (plus you get 10% discount on all accessories when you buy a bike from them), but their service before, during and after the sell is what truly sets them apart from all. I am glad I stopped in: they have relight the fire within, and I look forward to many more years of cycling fun with BIKE CYCLES.

It was a last minute thought that my daughter had over her Labor Day visit here, with two young children had. I was sure that renting childrens bikes well into the holiday week end would be a problem but the experience was simple and pleasant. Although the shop was very busy at the time we arrived it wasnt a long wait before someone got to us and assured us the rental would only take a few minutes. The children were fitted with the correct size bikes,helmets and training wheels in a short period of time. The bikes were loaded into our car and we were off with in the hour. Having the bikes made for a really great experience for the two young children from New York City.

Great experience with the staff at the shop yesterday. I engineer surgical robots for a living so I am pretty capable of working on my own bikes but while moving my son into UNCW I lacked one tool I left back in Raleigh to get his bike sorted out. I stopped in expecting to purchase the tool but the staff helped out without hesitation. It was a crazy, hectic and stressful day and to have a shop lend a hand made all the difference in the world. I will definitely plan some extra time I am down there to do some shopping and I take comfort in knowing if my son needs parts or work done on a bike there is a shop just a few minutes away we can trust.

Went to Two Wheeler Dealer where employees seem to be participating in the "Ignore the Customer Olympics" I left after about 15 minutes of 20+ people avoiding eye contact. Went to Bike Cycles was greeted the moment I walked in the door. Then was greeted by another employee, then the owner. They took my bike out of the car and replaced the tube immediately. They also adjusted the hand brakes without being asked or my being charged. They loaded the bike back in the car for me. Price was under what I expected to pay and service was top notch. Ive found a new bike store and see no reason to go elsewhere!

Bike Cycles located next to Harris Teeter in Mayfaire is centrally located off Military Cutoff Rd near Landfall and Wrightsville Beach. They are very active in the biking community and offer fast service like tire changes and such along with excellent bikes from Specialized and a whole host of other strong brands. They do not sell junk and if you want a bike that lasts this is your place. Shawn Spencer and his staff are committed to service and recommending what is best long term for you not advice to just make a sale. I have enjoyed working with them

I bought my wifes bike here as a gift for her birthday. I brought the bike back with my wife and they adjusted everything to fit her so her riding experience would be comfortable. Every time I have brought in my own bike to have work done they do a complete check of the bike to ensure that your bike is in good working condition. THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE ILL BRING MY BIKE TO HAVE WORK PERFORMED.

If you live anywhere near Wilmington and need anything bike related, Bike Cycles is the place to go. They will go above and beyond to provide better service than any other bike shop, let alone retail store Ive been to. Staff is super friendly and knowledgable and want everyone to enjoy riding bikes. This is the only bike shop I trust to get the job done right. Bike Cycles gets a 6 out of 5!

I cant say enough good things a about my experience with this shop. They took time to fit me (Im short) and to make sure I could handle the bike and get it on off the rack. They even loaned me a tool so my husband could fine tune his fit when he arrived later in the week. When we had an emergency that changed our schedule Shawn was mind and reassuring. Buy/rent with confidence.

I visit Wilmington a few times a year. I consider Bike Cycles a must to my visit each time. They have serviced my bikes when sent from the West Coast, set up my bike that I have left with family in Wilmington, sold me merchandise and installations on bikes over the phone, and NEVER DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! Simply, Bike Cycles is the standard in Wilmington, period!!!

This place is awesome. I was just there getting my gears adjusted (derailleurs) and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They showed me a feature I did not know the bike even had, which allows for trimming of the gears. They even adjusted my brake pads for me. What a great group. Thank you for your service. Body Geomerty Fit with Jon was great! He really takes his time and ensures you are comfortable before you leave. Customer service in Bike Cycles is top notch and the owner Shawn Spencer is engaged in every aspect of the business. Shawn is also a veteran and this shop is very veteran friendly. Wouldnt shop anywhere else for my bike needs. Bring on IMNC!!
