I refurnished almost my entire new apartment with furniture, rugs and housewares from Crate and Barrel Manhasset. Although I like everything I purchased, their customer service is sorely lacking. Everyone is very polite and some more knowledgeable than others about the product, but things are done at a snails pace. You have to wait on hold for 15 minutes to speak to a salesperson, it takes endless phone calls to get anything ordered or exchanged, and after the sale is made, it seems that the salespeople lose interest. Even though Ive spent quite a bit of money at that store, no one has ever followed up to ask how I like the furniture or to say thank you. I also think their computer system is so complicated that no one knows how to use it efficiently except for a manager. I called on Monday to exchange two area rugs that I purchased and its now Wednesday at 5pm and my request still hasnt been processed. The salesperson didnt know how to do the exchange on the computer, ordered the wrong item, and promised to call me back and never did. Im now on my third phone call and am so far waiting 14 minutes and counting to speak to a manager. Ridiculous.

Horrible customer service. Incompetent workers. Workers there are not sophisticated. Shouldnt be working at Americana Manhasset branch. Placed an online order to pick up. Arrived at 6:20 PM. Left the store after 8 pm. The whole time, I was at the counter waiting, explaining, asking questions that the workers didnt know how to answer - kept having to wait for another person to come and help or have the worker go and ask... Ive completely lost my interest to shop at this branch because there seems to be a serious management issues at this store as many of my friends have complained about this particular branch. I would never forget my experience today at Crate and Barrel: the way the workers raised their voice at me, talked in a demeaning manner, shaking their heads, talking to each other in front of me as if theyre complaining about me, making me feel ashamed for trying to have them answer my simple questions, etc. Ive never felt so frustrated and mortified while shopping in public. Thank you for this humiliating experience.

I love this store. The architecture and design of the space is so beautiful, with the large windows. Its like going to a museum of furniture and housewares. Unfortunately we dont need to buy anything because we have everything, but still its fun to look. I also love the beautiful landscape design at the Americana during the warmer months- its lovely to just walk around with the dachshunds.

Nice furniture and housewares. Unfortunately, nothing is in stock. They have to get better about predicting demand. Customers shouldnt have to wait a month to get a soup and sandwich plate.
