Recently, I was looking for a quality cruiser bicycle for my wife for a Christmas present. After much online searching, we decided to visit several bike stores locally to see what they had to offer. Immediately after entering Haymarket Bicycles, we felt very comfortable in a non-sales type, casual atmosphere. Curtis, one of the owners was very knowledgeable, and did not try to sell us. Actually, he encouraged us to look elsewhere to decide, but to come back and let them at least try to match any deal. Ultimately, we decided on the Electra Lux 3i - womens cruiser with some added Electra options. They ordered, assembled and even personally delivered to my home just in time for Christmas eve with a smile! Best part is my wife really loves this bike! It is a high end model, that will last for years. Best part though was the buying experience beginning-to-end with Haymarket Bicycles. We will buy another soon!

Ive been to most, if not all the bike shops in northern virginia looking for a great bike to get back in shape with. I showed up to this shop on Thursday about 30 min before they closed for the day and Im so glad I did. It was not only the closest to my house but hands down the best in customer service. They catered to my questions, gave me several options to test ride and kept my budget in mind. Jarred (co-owner) and his awesome employees were very friendly and very helpful to a beginner such as myself. They didnt try to upsell me and their prices were very competitive with online pricing as well as the other shops in the area. I spent about an hour and 15min in there and walked out ready to take the world by bike. Now Im heading back for a lock so that I can take my wheels anywhere :).

Excellent bicycle shop! I would consider myself extremely pragmatic when to shopping for anything. I was looking around online for a commuter bike and it just so happened this shop was the closest. I walked in knowing the exact bike I wanted and the staff were excited to show me the options and walk me through the process of ordering my new bike. They advised me on the essentials and didnt try to sell me anything unnecessary which greatly impressed me. Thanks for a awesome bike and excellent service!

The perfect local bike shop, Haymarket Bicycles has friendly and knowledgeable staff, always prepared to help. With fantastic gear, they will always do their utmost to find you the right component for you or make sure any repairs are completed to perfection. Any work done is always completed efficiently so I can be back on the road as soon as possible! Great service, my wife wanted a new bicycle helmet. Staff spent the time to show her and fit her with very helmet she looked at. As paying for our purchases a customer was dropping off a bike for a tune up. He stated that he my need new tires . The mechanic looked at the bike and told him he didnt need tires. Thats the third time I have heard them tell customers that. They "didnt" just put on tires that werent needed. That is true service !

This is a wonderful bike shop. Very good prices, very good bike maintenance, and a delightful place to hang out whether youre looking for a kids bike or a pro race bike. Its run and operated by good people. They took care of me for several years of amateur racing and my dad for years of riding, and they just set my friend up with his first real road bike. Im pretty sure whatever cycling needs you have can be met here.

Just the pure essence of what a bike shop should be. Great staff, great gear, great prices and amazing service. They will spend as long as you need talking with you about what you are looking for to get you on the right bike. They have group rides from the shop each Wednesday and strive to build a community of cycling in the area. This isnt just a business to the owners and staff, this is a way of life.

Haymarket took great care of me on Saturday. From the minute I walked in the door, I was treated wonderfully. I was a little anxious because of some repairs gone wrong on my bike, but the staff was super nice, understanding and reassuring. Also since it was a relatively minor repair, the mechanic was able to do it while I waited and the price was right. Thanks for making my bike work beautifully again!

Haymarket Bicycles is a great shop to visit. I own a few different bikes and the guys at the shop have always been able to take care of me. One of the cooler things about the shop is that they suit all ranges of customers from the true beginner to the serious racer. It is a very open atmosphere, which I encourage everyone to try and to also take a friend.

This was a GREAT experience. These guys know what they are doing. I came to them with a challenge not related to my bike. My Mothers walker wheel needed repair. They not only diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered the replacement part and fixed it up in a timely manner. Very friendly, respectful and knowledgeable staff!!!

Small shop in haymarket is worth the trip.. I stopped by the shop a couple of times a week during training just to warm up from the cold and became a huge fan. Prices are much better than closer to the city and they are not snobs. Highly recomend them for customers from new cyclist to racers.
