I took my long haired cat here to get groomed and they told me shed be done within 4 hrs. 4 hrs after I dropped her off they called me to tell me that she had died. I was heartbroken. I went down there to see her one last time, and called petsmart headquarters to report a claim. Many of my friends told me that protocol was broken and the manager at the grooming station, who was responsible for her well-being, put my cat in the heating kennel and went home for the day. they found her dead an hour later. I had to keep pushing them to get answers until they finally called. Most of the managers were rude to me, except for the head of retail. The store sent her to Rollins to get a full necropsy, and Banfield said the report noted she had brain swelling from a parasite that they could not find. (if there was enough to kill her, how could they not find it? didnt add up) Thinking I was at a dead end I decided to have my cat cremated. Not long after I got her remains back, Banfield called me to say that there wasnt enough swelling to actually harm the cat, and refused to give me any other details. To me, this seems like they were doing what they could to cover up the mistreatment. I had to pull it out of the managers that, yes, the cat was left in the kennel for an hour because her care taker had gone home. This is completely unacceptable. Petsmart headquarters never called me back with their findings, as they promised. I want justice for my poor baby girl. she didnt have to die. I refuse to go back to petsmart as long as Im alive. DO NOT GET YOUR FURBABY GROOMED HERE!

The store manager of the Fayetteville PetSmart told me that his store is the busiest PetSmart in the world. He admits staffing issues. While the store manager himself is GREAT, PetSmart employees do not reflect that whatsoever, for whatever reason, and the rude staff is a huge problem. You will find apathy or aggression, but rarely a decent employee. Expect a less-than-perfect experience. Here is a tip: If an associate is being abrasive and asking too many questions about your aquarium or set up, you do not have to answer them. "We reserve the right not to sell" is something an employee can claim but it is not true, unless you explicitly state that you are going to harm the fish. Home Depot is to Lowes as Wal-Mart is to Target as PetSmart is to Pet Supermarket. Really, Fayetteville! Why tolerate this PetSmart? Even if the service is decent - introduce yourself to something better than just okay and check out PET SUPERMARKET on Raeford Rd (in the same shopping center as Harris Teeter). I am so glad I discovered Pet Supermarket. An employee at PetSmart sent my disabled sister into a fit with his hateful attitude so I talked with the store manager twice. Again, he is a great guy, but there is a problem with the store. Leave the big, uncaring -low-quality- chain behind and go check out pet supermarket. I like them so much I am trying to spread the word! Pet Supermarket is the only pet shop in Fayetteville that I will visit.

I will never take my dogs back to this grooming department. From the moment we walked in, the girl who checked us in looked miserable and acted like she hated her job. She was very rude and had an attitude. When it came time for my chocolate lab to get her nail trim, she didnt want to go back ( she was nervous ). This girl, Chelsea, was very ROUGH with her. She was speaking very loudly, yelling "no", and actually grabbed my dog and somewhat threw her and pushed her down because my dog did not want to sit on the table. The other lady who is very sweet, Jill, recomended she try doing it on the floor since my dog was nervous on that table. Chelsea replies with "how about somebody else do it" with the biggest attitude. The guy who took over was very nice and did a great job and imagine this, my dog gave no issues once she got off that table. Chelsea has spoiled it for the entire department and I will never bring my dogs back. If you dont have the patience or you dont like animals, do not work at Petsmart or anywhere with animals. I am not being unrealistic, I understand my dog wouldnt sit still, but that does ot condone someone being rough with her in any way. I would stay away from this place and if you absolutely must go, make sure CHELSEA does not groom your dog or you will be very unsatisfied.

My dog went there for grooming. When I picked her up, she was uneven and still looked dirty. Was told by the women who brought her to me that, she wasnt the one who cut her and I need to bring her back the next day to let Carlos fix it. I told the women that if Ive already paid my money and you arent busy Id like her fixed now. She got a nasty attitude stating how Carlos has been working there for almost 10 years and stuff like that doesnt happen (I had a clear picture of how she was supposed to look) so I asked for a manager. The manager came and told her to fix it now, she just finished cutting another dog and went in to fix it alright with DIRTY clippers. Needless to say two days later, all on the face and neck where my dog was cut short she contracted a nasty skin infection. I tried calling the salon manager but couldnt get hold of her so I talked to the store manager, was told that "each dog gets a bath after being cut" and I told him that wasnt the case due to my dog was dirty when I got her along with the women who cut her in front of me cut her with dirty clippers and did NOT bathe her. Needless to say, all I got was passive attitude, attitude, ATTITUDE.

Took my 12 week old pug for a puppy bath with included the nail cutting, bath and an ear cleaning. The second I brought my puppy inside he started to put his weight down and the groomer took his leash and DRAGGED him across the floor like he was a 60lb dog. He was coughing but she continued to drag him, I finally had to tell her to PICK HIM UP because i couldnt stand to see him dragged like that, especially since he weighs 6lbs soaking wet. I was called two hours before my estimated time to pick him up so I had to stop what I was doing and get him. I paid and did not tip. I get home to check him out and his ears were still DISGUSTING. They had not been touched at all. I took him back and they cleaned them for me. The groomer who took care of him (the same one) said, "I cleaned them, i must notve gotten in deep enough." Are you kidding me? His ears didnt smell like any sort of cleaning solution at all. I would have preferred they told me they forgot than to lie to me. HORRIBLE service and horrible with animals. I will NEVER bring my dog back there again, Ill pay the extra money for a professional groomer rather than risk it again with these people.
