This shop has a poor selection of firearms accompanied by a rude owner with horrible customer service. When browsing through the limited selection, the owner kept trying to bring small talk conversation towards politics and essentially tried to lecture me. When asked to inspect an handgun, his smug reply was "Youre looking at it." Moreover, he added curt comments when I was inspecting the gun saying "Its a .38 snub nose. You would know if you had read the tag." After I pointed out to him that its actually a .44, he shut up for a while and then went onto another rant to "educate" me on politics. He also doesnt know what hes talking about. He had no idea what I was referring to when I asked to see if he had a Springfield range officer or Ruger commander. Overall, I had a bad customer experience and felt that my hard earned money can be spent elsewhere, since the inventory here is so limited anyways.

Upon my first visit, it seemed to be a small store with a limited selection, as the shelves are packed tight in limited space. HOWEVER, upon multiple visits, Ive found they keep a lot of stock and quite the variety of both firearms and accessories. And getting to know the owner, Joe, found that he is very knowledgeable and offers great advise on both the products and general knowledge of local ranges and regulations. I shopped around for a month before purchasing, and chose Garden State Sports for purchasing both a rifle and a handgun. I stop by often to see his latest inventory and the new products that hes always bringing in. Garden State Sports Center is my go to spot now for anything I need.

Joe runs a good store. He knows his business. He knows his business and he shows it when he greets you and give you a firm hand shake. The store is well laid out and you can see his merchandise. He is developing a small Memorial to this who served in Vietnam. I would gladly purchase a gun from him.

Joe does a great job in advising and suggesting the right gun without pressuring you to buy it. He really focuses on making his customer happy , satisfied and comfortable with their purchase. His level of expertise is unmatched in the area and he will not steer you wrong. Wouldnt go anywhere else!!!

Great experience. Mr Novella is a professional and very personable with the qualifications of a range officer stressing safety . He had an in depth knowledge of all arms and displayed patience and a certain gentleness when training my female companion on a weapon.
