I went in last night to get information on purchasing my first handgun and I left SO impressed. I went in with little to no knowledge other than knowing that I wanted a revolver and the owner spent over 45 minutes showing me her entire inventory of revolvers and explaining each one to me and what she thought would work best for me and my body size etc….she did not walk away from me once to help anyone else even through trout season started today and they were SWAMPED. She made me feel so important and urged me not to make any decisions in a hurry and recommended a place for me to go to test out revolvers and make sure I was going to get what I felt comfortable shooting (she sent us to Gun For Hire in Woodland Park…also an amazing place…we were planning on going to the place in Randolph and she suggested GFH instead because it would be less chaotic and she was right) After talking to her and taking her advice I went home feeling pretty confident in what type of revolver to test out at the range and I also left feeling much more educated on the matter. The owners know what they are talking about and I could not have asked for any more! I am 100% going back next week to make my purchase from Skylands Sport Shop !!!

Just want to say that in my experience with the Skylands Sport Shop.it has always been a pleasure whether for purchase, help or advise. I just recently purchased a rifle from an employee there, took it home, read the manual and was a bit nervous after reading the material ..Seemed like I just wasnt grasping the assembly and disassembly correctly. Stopped by the next morning and saw Cliff ( the owner) Cliff took the time to completely show me the disassembly and reassembly or the rifle and how to properly season and sight in the gun. He is extremely knowledgeable in all types of weapons. Needless to say I highly recommend anyone looking for first class weaponry and an experienced no rush -no push salesperson. Frank Saracino

Why doesnt your phone work every time I call I get an automated voice telling me you mail box is full. I cant get basic information why would I take the time to drive to the store when you cant even set up your voice mail and may be even your E-mail. Im sorry guys you are so close and the few times I did a walk in everyone seemed friendly. The prices were a little high even for a small shop but hey with the hoarders and the fear I can let that pass. But a phone number that wont ring thru during store hours I dont understand.

Had a no problem buying experience purchasing two Henry Rifles ( one for my son, and one for me!)thru Skylands Sport Shop. Found Cliff and Terry to be very helpful and they treat you like a customer they want to keep. They dont have to worry about that, they are my #1 new gun shop and Ill be a return customer. Told my sons and my friends about them too. They also have a nice line of fishing gear too!

I have been in this store on several occasions. I have found the staff polite but never overly helpful, you need to know exactly what you want. They are not good about listing your options or choices or telling you about things that you could order that may work better for you. It is a sell what we have in stock, whether it is really what you want or not, type place.

Fantastic store! The staff is knowledgeable, patient and there to help. I recommend Skylands Sport Shop to everyone I know looking for hunting , fishing or shooting supplies . On numerous occasions they didnt have the specific item I was looking for but they did not hesitate to order the item and keep it in stock so in the future I would know where to find it .

nice place but dont go there to buy something if you dont know what you need. Went in there to get a Christmas gift and the guy taking care of me expected that I knew everything about guns and ammo. Also had an attitude like we were bothering him. Will go elsewhere for future purchases.
