I would absolutely NEVER recommend the Bridal Boutique to anyone and will tell you that whatever you do - DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO MAKE ANY ALTERATIONS TO YOUR DRESS. Though I would not have thought it possible, the staff at the Bridal Boutique ruined my wedding dress beyond repair. This occurred one month before my wedding and the owner of the store absolved herself of any responsibility did absolutely nothing to help me locate a new dress. Planning your wedding is stressful enough, and with a lot of great bridal shops in the Baltimore area, there is NO reason to give your business to the Bridal Boutique. If you are anything like me, you probably only read the beginning of reviews, but is my story if you want the details: I purchased my dress at the Bridal Boutique and I trusted my dress to their alterations department. Unfortunately, this was a huge mistake. I should have trusted my gut instinct to take my dress elsewhere after my first appointment when, following the fitting, I felt uneasy. However, because I do not sew (and therefore felt that I was not in a position to judge) and I had been required to pay up front and in full for the alternations, I allowed them to move forward. When I returned for my second fitting, the dress did not fit well and a different seamstress pulled out all of the stitching made by the first seamstress. When I returned for what was supposed to be my final fitting, arranged according to the timeframe they recommended (one month before my wedding), I was absolutely horrified to discover that they COMPLETELY RUINED MY DRESS. They did such a hack job to the lace that it was buckling in odd places, it had uneven and misplaced seams running across the back, and it would no longer button correctly because it was completely crooked. The owner did not apologize and stated that they should be provided with an opportunity to repair the damage they caused. However, when it became clear became clear just how outrageous the damage actually and that, in fact, the dress could not be repaired, my mom demanded that she refund our money and, after some heated discussion, she reluctantly agreed to do so. However, while the owner also agreed to contact the manufacturer for us to see if another dress was available, she did not follow through, and when my mother spoke with her again, she informed us that she had no responsibility to assist us with the crisis that her shop had created. As a result, I was left without a wedding dress one month before my wedding because of the Bridal Boutique. Please DO NOT give your business to this store. PS – After a day of frantic telephone calls, we were lucky to find the found the same dress (way too big but that was okay) several hours away; we also found a local seamstress who was kind enough to squeeze me in as a last minute project. My dress was not ready until the day before my wedding – it turned out beautifully – but the inexcusable actions on the part of the Bridal Boutique created stress and additional expense that no one should have to experience

I really wanted to love this place. My first time trying on dresses was fun and I had a great person help me find a dress. My issue is the alterations department. To be totally fair I had a complicated altering situation, but from the day I bought my dress I was told that it would be no problem, that they had dealt with this situation before and they could help make it work according to my needs. After the correct size of my dress came in I went in for my alterations and was met with a different reaction as to wether or not they could actually make the required alterations. Obviously this concerned me since I had just paid them quite a bit of money with the idea it was all going to work out, but I tried to stay positive that they would find a way to make it work. That visit I was charged with a pretty good alteration fee and was disappointed when I came back in the next week that I had paid a fee for part of a piece of fabric to be sewn on that they would eventually rip out and start all over again. My next alteration visit seemed to go a bit better as they figured out a way to make the necessary alterations and was told that they made a commitment to me to complete my dress the way it needed to be when I bought it. I was charged another fee that visit too. When I actually went to pick up my dress on my way out of town to drive across the country to my wedding I noticed that the alterations were sloppily done and were not what they looked like on the previous visit where everything seemed to be perfect. It looked like they had rushed to complete what needed to be done in a sloppy manner, which may have been the case since we had a 2 month engagement and things needed to get done quickly. I am getting married in 2 days and as of right now I cant wear this wedding dress as it is right now to my wedding. I almost felt like they told me they could make the necessary alterations just so they could make a sale. Maybe my alteration needs were too complicated for the particular dress that I bought? But I would have appreciated them to have told me that from the beginning that it could not be done if that was the case. I would have picked a totally different dress that I am sure would have worked out better. But now I am going to spend the next 2 days trying to find a way to hopefully make this work on top of everything else that needs to be done before the wedding.

If I could give a 0 I would. I have already bought a dress but was looking to get a new dress and get rid of the old dress. I had seen a few dresses online that they carry so they pulled those for me. However, when I came in they took me back and left us for 10 minutes not knowing who may or will help us especially with trying on the dresses. When trying on the dresses, the consultant didnt seem to want to help me find a dress considering she brought up how I already had a dress many times. While putting on the dresses she took little to no effort in even trying to clip to dresses so they looked as if they fit me. One dress she didnt clip it at all. I was in and out of the shop within 20 minutes. I ask to see some allure dresses and they said it was out of my price range. However, that was my decision to make. It just seemed as if they didnt care or want me there because (a) I already have a dress and (b) I was possibly buying a dress elsewhere. The store was completely empty except for my small group and we had very little service or adequate service I should say. I asked questions about hemming, the back of the dress and how a seamstress could help make the dress fit and I was told she wasnt a seamstress and she wasnt sure how they would do that. I also asked what they dress would look like bustled. Again I was told that she didnt know and she took about 2 seconds to try to bustle the dress. I visited other dress shops who took way more effort in helping their client. This was very poor service and I was very disappointed. The one dress I really wanted to try on disappointed me because the consultant didnt clip it, put the belt on, which still was sitting in the bag, didnt tuck the inner straps that are used when hanging the dress and actually asked me to put the dress back in the bag for her. I didnt want to do that because I didnt want to be responsible if something we to happen to the dress. They had under skirts and corsets but non were offered to me to help the dress look more appealing. Overall this was a bad experience and I am left wondering about the one dress I really wanted to try on. Wondering if it would be the one, had some time been put into putting it on me. Be forewarned before you go.
