Heres the short version: We were short on time for a nice dress to wear to a wedding. We stopped in, found a pretty dress and bought it. Alterations were made and when my wife went back to try it they just about had to put a foot in her back to get it to zip up. They said she must be bloated... she was not. We chalked it up to being normal in the alterations business we found out. The night of the big event we found that the dress was not new, but in fact was a sample with SAMPLE embroidered along the bottom. Embarrassing and heart sinking to say the least. I took the dress back, explained to Tonya what happened and she gave us a refund less alterations. Thats fair. Happy ending? No. Almost two weeks later I get a STOP PAYMENT notice from my bank that she had stopped payment on the refund check. I called and she was out of town. The girl manning the store said she didnt know Tonyas mobile number (found out later its even on the answering machine). I requested when Tonya called in to check on her store that she call me. A few days went by with no phone call. I called the store repeatedly one day only to get voice mail. Later that night I get a text from Tonya saying shes sorry she ignored my calls and that shell call me when she has time to talk. Another day went by and after calling all morning I finally get Tonya who claims she was just getting ready to call me... sure. A long tense conversation led to nowhere. She offered to send the dress back to us. We dont want it after all of this. We just want our refund plus our $8.00 bank fee. She refused. I am in business and know you sometimes have to do whats right even if you feel its not entirely your fault. Tonya at A Carolina Wedding did and then changed her mind. A Carolina Wedding is a FAIL in my book and we will never buy anything there again nor will we recommend her to anybody wanting a wedding or formal dress. I would drive another 2 hours just to not give business to them.

I would like comment on the reviews that are posted regarding return of funds and dresses being ordered too large. Mr.Smith was correct that the dresses were not ordered because I was waiting for one more bridesmaid to call in her measurements . All dresses are ordered at the same time and the bride and I were in touch the entire time. All was fine until I got an email that the wedding was postponed/cancelled. I did tell him and his wife they would receive a refund. Wedding date was 09/06/13 and I was waiting to make sure there was no wedding. This happened to me before and the bride posted pictures of her wedding the day after the wedding. She called and I did send her partial payment (my mistake) she bought another dress. #2 I never knew the bridesmaids dresses were too large. No one called me. I could have taken care of the local bride, but I went by the size chart provided by the company and the measurements called in by the bridesmaid out of town. Sizes are discussed in detail. My apologies for not informing them of the extra for plus sizes and the size chart is also online.. We want everyone to be pleased!

I went to this store after looking at one other bridal shop. The selection wasnt overwhelming and the staff was extremely helpful. I was looking for a v-neck gown and they had plenty to choose from. I was planning on spending much more money to find a v-neck dress that I loved and I was able to find a perfect dress under my budget. The staff was honest and not looking to just make a sale... in fact once I narrowed the selection down to 2 dresses they recommended the less expensive of the 2. I ordered my dress that day and cant wait until it comes in! I will update this review once I get it!

My sister and I ordered our bridesmaid dresses here... I was pregnant at the time and my sister lived out of town, so she gave her measurements over the phone. The lady at the store ordered both of our dresses 3 or 4 sizes too big. I understand that for me, it made sense to go big, but that was too big! We both had to have major alterations done because the dresses were so big! I would not go back here again, I dont know if she was just a ditz, but there was no need to order the dresses that big. On top of that, they were plus size dresses, which had an extra fee she didnt tell us about!

I wanted to write a review about this store. I have just started my wedding dress search and I had only been to one other store. As soon as I entered this store I felt at ease and comfortable. They were helpful, nice, and very easy going. They allowed us to take pictures of me in the dresses, which really helped make the decision on the dress. It was such a great experience and I WILL be purchasing my dress from this shop! Thank so much to everyone at the store to make me feel welcome and comfortable when trying on my future wedding dress!

I went to A Carolina Wedding after a sensory overload at Davids Bridal. I walked in to look at a dress I had seen in a wedding magazine but hated it on me. Tonya was extremely helpful in helping me determine what kind of style dress I was looking for. After about 2 hours we had designed a custom dress and I couldnt have been happier. The price was right, the service was on point and I got to visit the beach. All in all a win when it comes to shopping for a wedding dress. I recommend A Carolina Wedding to all of my friends getting married!

I looked for my wedding dress in SC, NC and CA. A Carolina Wedding was the first place I went to and not knowing what I wanted or really what to expect, I thought it would be best for me to go to other salons. After visiting over 6 other stores, I came back to A Carolina Wedding and purchased my dress because they had the best prices, selection, and service. If you live anywhere near this bridal shop it if worth the trip! I loved working with each of the associates there and I look forward to going into the store!

2017 NFL Draft
My wife and two other woman ordered (and paid for) bridesmaid dresses in April for a September wedding. Long story short the dresses were never delivered, a refund was never issued, our nearly two dozen calls to the store went unreturnned. Luckily I was able to file a report with the fraud department of my bank and recoup the funds. Unbelievable how unprofessional this store is, I would stay as far away from this store as possible.

This was the first store I went to to try on a wedding dress, and I was very pleased. I had no idea what type of dress I wanted, but the staff was very helpful in finding the absolute perfect dress for me! The dress is absolutely perfect and everyone at the store was more than willing to help! I would recommend this store and their dresses to any future bride :)
