Im a current Cadillac owner, but as much as I love my CTS I need a vehicle with off-road capability that also handles well in snow. After doing much research, I settled on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. After reading the positive reviews, I chose to go to Fields Chrysler over Dodge Sherman. We were in the show room for about 15-20 minutes without being acknowledged once (and there was no one at the reception desk when we stepped in). We finally went over to the Dodge side and looked at a Citadel in the show room. On our way back to the Jeep side, a person sitting at a desk on the Dodge side asked if we wanted help. I said "No thanks, were looking at Jeeps". We went outside looked at the inventory in the lot then came back inside to look some more (another 15 minutes has gone by). Finally, someone approached us and asked if we had been helped. I said "No and weve been waiting for a while". The employee then ran off to find a sales person. The sales person he found happened to be the gentleman we saw earlier from the Dodge side of the dealership. The employee who fetched him said to us "You said you werent approached by a sales person and youve been waiting for some time. You told him you didnt want help. So if you dont want help then we cant help you." My mouth dropped -- seriously? This is how you speak to a customer. I ticked off my points "#1 we did come in and were not approached by anyone for over 20 min. #2 Only when we passed a desk on the Dodge side did someone ask us if we needed help. #3 I was not aware that someone from the Dodge side could sell us a car from the Jeep side of the dealership. That was never brought to my attention. #4 If youre going to speak to us this way and refuse our help then forget this, there are other choices. I own a Cadillac and the dealership there has always treated me great for over 10 years, I dont need to be treated this way." As we were leaving, the Sales Manager was flying out of his office trying to convince us to stay but behind him the salesperson from the Dodge side said loudly and publicly, "I"M NOT SELLING THEM A CAR!" I calmly told the Sales Manager that "as a customer I have the right to feel comfortable and I dont feel comfortable at Fields. Your salesperson just made it very clear that hes not selling us a car. So I will just take my business to Sherman Dodge." Listen, I understand miscommunication can happen and Im not about waiting, but what really gets under my skin is when a dealership both the salesperson and the greeter (Im assuming that was their position) starts talking to you belligerently and then says point blank Im not selling them a car", then how can I not be upset and feel uncomfortable. Im sure Fields has offered lots of people great service and sold them a car at a fair price. I can only write this review off of my own personal experience, and unfortunately it was a very negative one.

I went here with my boyfriend (22) to buy his first truck. Hes currently an IT major and has a job making a very very comfortable amount of money. The moment we walked into fields.. we were treated extremely lovely.. until it came time to actual purchase the certified pre-owned. This wasnt my first time buying a car so I told him I wanted some negotiation on price.. the truck needed brakes and shocks done to it. We took it to our mechanic on our extended test drive to get the paperwork that shows it. We then went back to fields again with the paperwork explaining we would be willing to accept the amount off that the mechanic quoted unless they were willing to do the work. The manager said that he hadnt sent the car in through his own inspection and would like to do the work through his mechanics. Thats when we agreed and said we would come back after the inspection. The next day we receive a call asking us to come down to the dealership.. so we did. We were told the car did need shocks and brakes and that the parts were on back order but we could buy the truck tonight and take it home and just bring it back to them when the parts came in.. then we sat down wth Michael Staffidi (certified pre owned manager) who said he couldnt go down on the price at all and wouldnt include any extras for the car such as a radio trial etc. Standard things when buying from a well known dealership. Because my boyfriend wanted the truck so badly.. he decided to buy it with only one grand off the actual list price. Not a deal at all.. he was rude from the beginning. its now been over a month and the car is no longer safe to drive because of the brakes. We went into fields where we had to speak to Michael Scaffidi THE USED CAR SALES MANAGER. He spoke to me like I was a piece of dirt he was about to walk on. He interuppted me several times before lying to my face and telling me "good luck" and trying to send me on my way. He said he never agreed to honor the brakes and would only do the shocks. He lied to us when he sold the truck and he treated us like complete crap. He said something and I went to say no thats not right and he snapped his head back towards my way and said "dont no no me okay." After being disregarded like an unwanted puppy.. I walked fuming over to the other manager and asked to speak with someone who would respect me. We were taken care of by Roberto who was an absolutely sweet heart and felt horrible about the way we were treated. Bottom line, if you are buying a certified pre owned vehicle.. do not go to fields. I honestly cannot recommend it because of Michael Staffidi. He alone gives fields a bad name and I will never buy a car from him again. UPDATE- Fields admitted they needed to replace the parts..after such a hassle. Its awesome how the manager only replies to the 5 star reviews on here.

Not having good experience with this place, my impression about the location and the hospitality is good, but the service is literally rip-off, I will never recommend anyone to go for service there... SERVICE they get thump down from me. I guess if you did not purchase the car from them, you would be held hostage with rental car for $35 a day until Mr. FIX IT takes his sweet time and get to yours, and then slam you with the bill. --This is coming from a google local guide -- They have lost would be life time customer.... I had check engine light and some other light came up (MIL / ETC), and I have the passenger side airbag light, I did some research around ( got recommendation from my piers --Google local guiders-- ) since the car is two years old only, and thought to bring it to the dealer to repair that for good. Called on Wednesday and asked if it is possible to be fixed, was told if you bring the car Thursday morning we should be able to squeeze you in, on that morning itself, to my surprise I was told it would not even be looked at on that day and my only option is to rent a car $35 /Day... Never heard back from services department, came in on Friday and was told the person in-charge has the day off, next morning someone will call ... never happened.... Called on Saturday morning asking, and was told what needs to be fixed in the car, and gave the go ahead to be replaced, and insisted someone to call me before they leave for the day, since I am already boiling and frustrated, that I would be losing my weekend pay (I work with this car).... Got a call on Saturday 1:30 pm “sorry we could not get to your car today, we will try to finish the job on Monday or Tuesday"...... I asked: What am I going to do with rental car, am I going to be responsible for that even though it is your SCREW UP?? Here is the options that I have: 1) Take my car back as it is, I will pay $145 diagnosis and $160 rental. 2) Wait until they get to the car and fix it, pay for the services plus whatever the rental would be.. So it is a rip-off, how stupid of me to fall for that? Lost my weekend pay already..... Here is the story for my Google Local Guide peers as it is unfolding, please do not recommend this place again to anyone.... --- update--> i have gotten the upper management involved (should have done that earlier!!!) thanks Doug for taking ownership of this, hope things work out well. I have gotten my car back and thanks to all, I have the loaner charges waived and also some the issue was the controller it is covered by my warranty I got charged only for the wiring and the labor ($496)
