I rarely write reviews about a store, but my experience with these people was so terrible that I just want to save anyone who reads this the time and money and go some where else. I recently moved back home because I finished my undergrad. Since I do not have a bed yet, me and my mother decided that we wanted to get a nice bed for me. Mind you, I am currently sleeping on the floor/ sofa. We decided to go to Furniture Mall as my sister had purchased one of her beds here. (mind you, she also did not have a super great experience either, but we thought wed give them another chance.. big mistake). Staff was very nice prior to me purchasing, although there was only 2 staff members in the entire store. I bought a somewhat over priced bed, but I didnt mind because it was nice and I just wanted a bed. The guy, who happens to be the manager told me that the bed would be delivered on Thursday of the following week. Following week came, and I took the day off from work because of their terrible delivery hours. 2pm-9pm with only a 30 minute call prior to actual delivery. However, its fine right? Ill get my bed and it wont matter? WRONG. I called that day sometime at 12 because I kinda wanted to confirm delivery day was still on. Lady said, " We told you that delivery was going to be from 2-9". It was said in such an annoyed tone that youd almost think that she didnt want to work there, but you know, its fine. I did have the sheet that said the time, I just didnt read it properly and my bed was coming later that day. WRONG. I waited until 6pm ish and I had not received a call from delivery people. I called the store a few times but no one answered. I believe the store had closed at this time so I waited patiently until 9pm. Nothing. Not even a call saying that they were not going to make it. I told my self that things happen and they probably had too many deliveries that day and couldnt make it. WRONG. I called the next morning to make sure and the lady said. "The reason why you didnt get your bed is because it hasnt arrived to our store yet"... Had you not just "already told me" that delivery was going to be from 2-9 the previous day? How are you going to tell me that the bed isnt even in the store yet. At this point I was a bit annoyed because I had taken 2 days off work to wait for this expensive bed, and I have received nothing. If I were not making the calls, they would not even bother telling me anything. Happily took my money, but will not take care of me afterwards. I kinda asked for a refund at this point, but I changed my mind because I figured mistakes happen. (that and lady told me that she wont be able to do it as refunds cant happen 2 days after you give them your money, NOT 2 days after you have received your furniture). She said my bed FOR SURE will be here Today, Tuesday 7/12/2016. It is now currently 6:30PM and I have yet to receive a call from delivery people. Mind you I took another day off to wait for these people. Youd think they make me a priority after their mess up but I guess not. Thats ok though. The guy who answered my call today assured me by saying, "I already told you that delivery will be there from 2-9pm"... oh... My sister also had to take 2 days off work because delivery people didnt make it on scheduled day. Depending on how things go once this bed arrives, (IF it arrives) I will change this review.

I had been searching for a long time for the perfect entertainment center for my house, and I finally found it at the Pleasant Hill location of The Furniture Mall. There were very few customers in the store, and even less sales people, In my search for a sales person to find out the price of the product, my 5 year old needed to use the restroom, after walking the disgusting, filthy, broken tile path that spans the entire store we came to one of the most filthy rundown restrooms ever. After that I finally find a sales person, who writes down the item number and walks away (rudely), several minuets later, he loudly beckons me from across the store to go to the main desk for the price (very rude). It was clear that he was more interested in the Hispanic couple that had walked in. Anyway, the price was more than I expected for the size and quality so I attempted to haggle with the man, who informs me that there is no way they can lower any price because they already sell at the lowest possible mark up, that it is SO much less of a mark up than any other store. Well, The Furniture Malls motto is challenge any price, so I did. I called the actual maker of the piece (Ashley) that has a few locations in my state. Big surprise that they had the exact same piece for 70$ less, but they did not have one in stock. So, I go back to the man who is visibly annoyed by my finding. He calls and verifys the price (took him three times as long as it took me) and has another sales person finish my sale as he disappears with out saying a word to me directly, later I see that he is dealing with a very upset customer that had been trying to resolve a simple problem for over a month. Overall, I find this location to be extremely dysfunctional and is in desperate need for new management, or at LEAST a decent cleaning. I was truly shocked by the level of filth inside a business that sells such high end products. Especially since furniture does not generate mess, there is no excuse. I would not shop here again nor recommend that anyone else even enter the building.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! RUN RUN RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND NEVER LOOK BACK!!!!!! We bought living room set furniture from the furniture mall in Duluth GA on Saturday, November 19/2016. The furniture was too big to fit through our doors so we told the sales rep to deliver it in the boxes and put it together once it is in the room we want! Even he offered to deliver it in boxes and have the guys assemble it at the house! We told him not once or twice but THREE times!!! The sales rep and the owner agreed. Delivery time was Monday 21st around 4/4:30pm. They did not show up until 8:30pm!!! When they showed up, the entire set was already assembled DESPITE our specific request NOT to! It was too big to fit through the doors, so they could not deliver it. We asked the two men if they could take it apart and they said no because it was too much work. So basically they didnt want to do their job because it was too much work, something we PAYED for!!! We called the lady who owns the furniture mall, she was pretending not to understand English. She did not apologize and kept asking what we want from her and what our problem was. She did not speak to her employees, but said that she could have the furniture delivered in boxes unassembled the next day. My husband had to take off work for Monday just to be there when it was delivered. She did not want to understand that, did not apologize, did not communicate with the two delivery men who refused to do their job, did absolutely NOTHING to show us CUSTOMER service!!! She kept repeating "well just deliver it next day", despite the numerous times we told her that we work all week! This was the absolute worst experience! Lazy, no customer service skills, no people skills, no apology, refusal to do their job, no good business skills what so ever!!! How is this place still open???!!! Sales Rep: Michael
