My wife and I wanted to test drive a new 2015 F-150 Lariat. We are looking to get a truck and are looking at both the Tundra and the Lariat. We came to this location on Sunday Aug 9, 2015 and we were greeted by Mike. I informed him we were looking at the F-150s. I told him what I was looking for, and we went to the roof to look at a vehicle. Unfortunately because I was not going to buy today, and it was Sunday and they were "short staffed", my wife and I getting a test drive seemed out of the question. Here was my take away: Hi, Im Mike, and since you arent buying today, my wife keeps calling my cell phone, and we are short staffed, Im not going to put in the effort. I also dont really agree with the color of your vehicle, and I will make sure to let you know by telling you multiple times how they dont "move" and just "sit on the lot". Unreal... Having worked in sales previously, I was expecting "Hey, we are short staffed today, but if you give me a few minutes, let me make sure I have someone to cover and we can get you and your wife that test drive, will that be ok?" "Oh you like that color, yeah we cant seem to keep those on the lot, but Im sure we can get you one, you dont need to worry about that. What we have here sub-set of whats available lets look at features, and we can worry about color later" That is sales 101. So my wife and I went to Bill Currie Ford, and wow, although the sales person informed me he was short staffed, AND his current customer was in Finance, I managed to get a Test Drive, AND he checked back multiple times while I showed the vehicle to my wife. I was able to deal with a skilled and experienced sales person. Veterans Ford, you may have a "neat" multi-level show room, and F-150s may sell well. But you still need competent and friendly sales people. Im not just going to hand over $50k someone who makes me feel like my business is "take it or leave it". Good luck with that, Ive crossed you off my list. First impressions, they ARE everything, NEVER forget that. Remind your sales reps of that too. You never know how much money that person has in their pocket, and most people who walk in that door wanting a test drive, are buying in the next 90 days or less. Who wants the money? UPDATE: The general manager reached out to me, and he stepped up to make things right. So while, my initial contact with the business was not stellar, I also recognize and respect that they were willing to go the extra mile to make things right for me. I appreciate they monitor these review sites and are truly concerned about the customer experience. For that, Im giving back some stars.

The worst experience i have ever been through at a dealership (Please read it may help in the long run)...The first time we were in the building there were employees and customers arguing back and forth, curse words, yelling and flailing arms everywhere. The salesman we were working with briefed us on the situation and let us know the customer wasnt happy about the detailing his truck received. I had no reason not to believe him and assumed the customer was over exaggerating the whole situation. I quickly found out that the that i was wrong. I brought my mechanic in 3 days later to go over the truck that i was purchasing, the truck had been through their inspection process at this point and completely detailed inside and out. My mechanic looked it over and let me know that the breaks needed replaced, tires needed replaced and a few other minor things needed attention. The problem came when i looked at the CarFax and it said the breaks were replaced 10k miles ago and the rotors had been worked on, it pointed out some red flags so i asked for more time to think about it...That was the wrong thing to do. Let me remind you that i just wanted a little more time to think about my $20,000+ purchase. My salesman went and recruited his manager, the manager comes out flailing arms saying "You were ok with the truck until you brought this guy" referring to my mechanic (Who has been a mechanic for over 40 years) I explained to him that i didnt know what to look for and my mechanic brought a few things to my attention. A truck needing new breaks after 10k miles may be a problem, the tires had chunks taken out and their was a good amount of rust underneath. I just wanted a few days to research what may cause these things. The manager would not listen to what we said, he kept telling us we were a waste of time and we had no idea what we were talking about. I asked if i could speak to my salesman over and over and the manager just kept flailing his arms and pointing out how much we didnt know about cars. My mechanic finally had enough and showed him the wear on the breaks, rust underneath and chunks in the tires but the managers response was that we were wrong. The manager finally went back into the building and my salesman began to apologize for his actions, i had to let him know that we would not be purchasing the truck at all. Long story short is that they are a shady dealership that will try to cover up any flaws that a vehicle may have and if you question those flaws be prepared for a verbal beatdown. With all of the car lots in Tampa you should have no problem finding a car somewhere else.

Pretty terrible experience. I went in looking for a specific used Ford model I saw on the website as being in inventory. The salesman walked us all over the lot as though he were going to show us the car but kept showing us random stuff (not even the same make). I wasnt sure if he had no idea what was in his lot or he was just trying to keep us around. Anyways, at the end when we had walked through the whole lot and realized the car I was looking for was not there the guy took us to his manager who said the car was in Orlando. Somehow they had a mix-up on their website so it showed up as being in Tampa. Okay, mistakes happen I guess. So they had a newer model of what I was looking for and I took it for a test drive. I like it alright, and it was a pretty good price, so we wanted to see what they would give us for our trade-in. This is where it got bad. We jumped through the hoops to give them information about our car. They finally came back with a terrible offer. I said I wasnt interested because I knew the value of my car, and even for a trade in it was pretty ridiculous what they were offering. The manager came over with all these printed out autotrader cars that were somewhere around the price they offered. None of the comps had the options I had on my car and I dont even know where he found them because when I look on aurotrader all of the comps I see are 50% more than the ones he pulled. He must have searched the entire US for the lowest priced cars or something. We pointed out the options didnt even match and he proceeded to tell us that the my model of car didnt offer leather, only leatherette so thats what my seats must be. Im not sure if hes thinks Im an idiot and he can convince me that my real leather seats are leatherette, or if hes just incompetant and really doesnt know. Regardless, I told them I wasnt interested in trading in my car for their terrible price. That didnt mean I wasnt interested in the car but it didnt matter. The manager lost his temper while I was in the middle of talking to him and just got up and left. Talk about a terrible personality for selling a car. Veterans Ford has lost my business for life, but that wont matter because the way they sell cars they will be out of business in no time.
