I dont usually write reviews, but being someone who worked in the car business (nearly ten years ago... Wow, Im getting old), I thought I should take the time to follow through for once. I bought a 2011 Tundra from these folks, and it was a good overall sales experience. I told them what I wanted to pay, we haggled a little bit, and I ultimately came away happy with our agreed upon price. They were upfront with the doc fee amount, and there were no hidden surprises. Our salesman, Jay Jay (sp?), was straightforward, worked hard for us, and wasnt pushy. Upon entering the finance office, I found that when I pushed the issue of rates a little bit, the finance man seemed to do his best to shop for us and find a great percentage. They gave a pretty hard push to some aftermarket warranty material that I didnt really want, but hey, thats their job. When I declined, the finance man was nice and didnt pick up an attitude because I didnt buy anything extra- He still seemed like his main priority was to make sure we were happy with the deal. I felt like one area where the dealership really shined was getting through some paperwork hurdles AFTER the deal. We bought out of state (Georgia), and getting registration and taxes handled in my county down here can be an absolute nightmare due to complicated state laws and poorly trained DMV employees who seem to take a sadistic pleasure in failing to help/serve their tax paying "customers." Anyway, Honda of Kingsport went out of their way to make sure everything was properly documented and all of the taxes I paid was properly forwarded to the state of GA. A lot of dealers stop caring once the sell is made and youre out the door, but I feel like these folks went out of their way to make matters as easy for me as possible even after the sell was technically over. I know more than a few people who ended up paying tax fees twice because they bought from an out of state dealer who didnt know to forward the funds appropriately or sent the wrong amount to the state. Thankfully, in this case they made sure it was done right. Good dealer and good overall experience both before and after the purchase; you cant really ask for much more than that. When my wife decides to upgrade from her CR-V, I have every intention of going back and talking to this dealer about a Pilot. Give the salesman Jay Jay a yell- I know hell take care of you.

So my partner and I had been looking for a car to replace my VW for quite some time now. Months actually, as I am very picky and get attached to my cars making it difficult to let one go; I have to find a car thats perfect for me. On Monday 2/20/17 we drove around all of Abingdon, Bristol, Johnson City, and Kingsport seeing if anything caught my eye. This was the last dealership we were going to look at for the day and we saw a beautiful Chrysler 300s. We test drove it twice (first time I didnt get to drive because I left my wallet at the last dealership.) and both times the salesmen, Tyler and Connor, were more than happy to let us play with it and drive to our hearts content. I never felt pressured to get it back to the lot quickly, and wasnt hounded with "so this car has this feature or this accessory and that option." They let me explore it, and helped whenever I had questions. After some thought I decided to try and work out a deal. This being my first time buying a car solo, it was nerve wracking. But, the two salesman helping us were extremely helpful and understanding. Everything was explained to me so that I could understand it in laymans terms. We worked out a deal quickly, without any pushiness. They really let me take the reins, which I greatly appreciated. They got payments were I wanted them, and even detailed the car and filled it up with gas for me before I left. The same day I bought it an airbag light came on. I took the car back the next day and I met one of the salesmen that helped me prior, Connor, as he was headed out doing something else. I told him what happened and he actually dropped what he was doing so that he could help me. I could tell I had his undivided attention and that he cared about me as a customer. He assured me it would be taken care of and waited with me while the service writer came to assess the situation. 30 minutes later the light was gone, and apologies were given to me. I didnt have to pay for the service or anything! Overall, I had a fantastic buying experience. Im extremely satisfied with my purchase and blown away by how helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous the staff was to me. I will absolutely buy from this dealership again if I have the opportunity. Thank you Tyler and Connor! Keep up the great work!!

Credit risk is an important factor for dealerships as we well understood when we approached Honda of Kingsport for financing. My husband is an owner/operator which puts him firmly in the self-employed category. We also have a zero credit rating due to paying for past vehicles with cash. Since our income has substantially risen, we had hoped with a down payment and higher income level that financing would not be an overriding issue. The sales department was very friendly and appeared to care enough to want us to have the vehicle we chose. Since he is out on the road a substantial amount of time, I had with me a power of attorney so I could do business in his name. We were asked for financial documents which we also provided. Two salesmen informed me that the legal department was having difficulties over the power of attorney. One specifically said it was all but a done deal with that exception. I relayed the information to my husband and he altered his route in order to come to the dealership to put that roadblock out of the way which impacts us financially. The salesman appeared to be satisfied with this and I left trusting the words he and the other salesman told me. I was told by the salesman to text him later in the afternoon which I did. After I explained that my husband only had a short amount of time home and that we did not know when he would next be home, then I got the answer that we waited a week for. No. The reason: Because of credit issues. They knew for a week what our credit was. We suspect they were stringing us along in hopes of obtaining financing and rather than be honest, they used the ruse of our power of attorney being the reason why. It was a disingenuous attempt to keep our hopes up for a newer vehicle rather than run the risk of being honest and our looking elsewhere. Honda of Kingsport, this is a shameful way to treat people. You can rest assured we will not waste your time as badly as you wasted ours.

alot of people just dont know how financing works when it comes to buying a car and some of us do.I know that Honda Kingsport will add extra interest points on customers , they told me I was approved at 5.9% when it was really 2.9% so he could make his profit through finance on my expense. I know this because I am a banker, and it just so happened They tried this on the wrong guy, I would hate to see the number of people who have really been bought by banks at a low interest rate and then told by some finance manager that the interest rate is whatever they want to make off of you! Go to your own bank if you even decide to bother with Honda Kingsport , hey they are already getting profit when they buy it , trade it in for cheap and sell it, dont forget service , Hidden fees, + the 5 hour wait. This place is a huge money pit , and they hide behind this image of someone who is a good person and bla blah . They then tell me That I will get the lifetime warranty on everything in reality it only covers certain parts (plus you have to do your maintenances and oil changes, meet their guidelines or no more warranty ( yea they will show you this copy of nonsense that looks real, dont buy into it) they are expecting you to trade it in in 3 years or wreck it , so dont tell me this to try and add value to your cars !! I guess they want me to hear lifetime warranty and forget all about what else is going on. Yea right Oh yea , my credit is a 740 good debt to income , had a down payment , it was a pre owned but with low miles and I was going 48 months ... So dont let them make up lies $$$$$$$$$&$$$$!!&$$$$$!!
