I have been here a few times and always had a decent experience. I was on my way buy for the 4th of July weekend and needed some 22LR ammo. I mapped it out on Google and saw the low ratings and bad reviews. I started looking for another shop close by but none were as convenient to get to. I figured Id give it a shot and see what happens; I mean I just needed some ammo right!? The parking lot had lots of cars so the place seemed busy. I walked in with my son and was greeted by not 1, not 2 but 3 separate employees. OK so maybe thats a fluke, it was the holiday weekend after all, maybe they were just being nice? A gentleman on crutches asked if he could help me find anything. I said I needed ammo and after seeing the huge display of fishing gear decided my son needed a new rod and reel. After directing me to the ammo he asked what sort of fishing gear I was looking for. I said a kid sized combo (not Zebco) mid-range price and small for the creek. He quickly pointed out a couple rigs and let me check out the features. He returned to the front of the aisle to sit down (hes on crutches remember) but kept us insight. We find a right-sized combo but it was in pink! My SON being every bit a boy wanted the green "fish cammo" but there werent any on display. So the guy up front calls for a young man who goes into the stock room to check. A minute or two goes by and he emerges empty handed but goes to the POS terminal and checks stock. It says they have a couple so he goes back in to dig deeper. About five minutes later he shows up with the correct rod and reel combo in the cammo color my son wants. Onto the ammo aisle, where I am again greeted by another gentleman who comes out from behind the counter to ask what caliber I need. He directs me to the 22LR choices and mentions they have 1500+ cans in the back. Im looking for 500 but no joy. A sales woman goes into the back to retrieve some of the cans to stock the shelf. When she returns moments later she pitches me on the value of the 1500+ cans, the low price per shot. I counter with "I dont really needs that much ammo." Shes a good sales person and challenges me with "its not like it goes bad." Im feeling the pressure to by, I dont want to for her tactics but shes right and I cave. "Ill take it" +1 for the sales woman, she knew her stuff! We head to the counter and get rung up by yet another pleasant employee. I end up spending ~$250, way more then I expected but we get some tackle as well so we can really go fishing. The 22LR is Fiocchi, its like 1700 rounds and its even made in the USA! I almost fell over. Overall a solid 4 star experience here. Id certainly go back again. They pack a lot of stuff into this small store so it feels busy but they have a large selection. Not quite the ammo I was looking for but it will be fine for targets. My only complaint was the large caliber gun booming from the gun range below. If you dont know they have a range there and you arent ready for it the sounds makes you jump.

This is the most poorly run store I have ever seen. I am new to the gun world and was in the market to get a handgun for home protection. I went to the upstairs to look at some guns and get some info. The old gray haired lady treated me like I shouldnt even be in the store. Im sorry, but everyone was in my situation at one point with no gun experience. You would think they would be excited about giving you information about handguns with the hopes of making a sale, however she just made me feel stupid for not knowing as much as I should. She recommended that I take the handgun safety course, which I had been planning on doing anyways. She said I could sign up for next Saturdays class. So I went to the downstairs, told the guy that I wanted to sign up for next weeks Saturday Class. He gave me the sheet and I signed up and paid the $50. I showed up that next Saturday and asked where I was to go for the class. They looked at me like I was an idiot and said the next class wasnt until Jan 12th 2013. I told them my situation and they said there was nobody there that could help me at that time and to come in on Monday. So, I showed up Monday, told them that I couldnt make that class cause I have to work, and that I had been misinformed of the date so I just wanted a refund. They told me they dont give refunds because it is such a popular class and the classes fill up so quickly. To me that makes no sense. If it fills up that quickly and you have almost another month before the next class you should have no problem filling my spot. Anyway she told me she would talk to the manager and have him call me two days ago, still have not heard from them. I have since taken my business to Center Mass where I got great customer service, they treated me with respect, and I bought a $700 handgun from them. Never go to this place. They are incompetent pricks!

One star, but want to give them zero stars. I stopped in to check some scopes out and spend some saved money on a high end one. I wanted to get a feel for the turrets and compare reticle and glass quality. I waited all day to get off work and rush over there to get a new scope. I get there and there was two guys behind the counter helping someone at the far end. I waited ten minutes and still no one bothered to help me. Finally I stood in front of one the guys whIle he was pretending to mess with a box or something. After a minute of watching him, he asked if I need any help. A little rude, but whatever. I ask if I can check out a scope in the case. I try moving the elevation knob and he tells me not to adjust it because its a factory setting. I ask I cant adjust it? Then he said you can adjust it, but put it back on its original setting. I could tell that someone had peviosly messed with the scope because it was on some random setting, not on a zero. I ask to see another scope and he hands it to me. So I begin turning all the turrets and the zoom ring then look through it at the reticle. The whole time Im looking at scopes this guy is tapping his fingers on the counter and acting like he had better things to do. I asked if he had the model I was looking at in the bigger zoom version and he quickly said NO. Even though there was a similar model right next to it with a bigger zoom. WTH? He never engaged in any sort of friendly conversation, just acted like I was bothering him. I wanted to look at another scope but this guy was making me feel like I was an inconvenience so I left. I kept thinking, how is this place still in business? That grumpy dude needs a lesson on being a salesman, or retire. I didnt belive the bad reviews about this place, but after experiencing it fist hand, Im suprised that it has two stars. It should have zero.
