Im so bitter sweet about this review. I bought a nice trek 29r a few years back, and overall its been a decent bike. Not amazing but not terrible either. The issue really is that every time theres a problem with it (which has happened about 15 times now) I bring it in and it never comes away fixed. Ive spent hundreds of dollars on it and its worse almost every time it comes back. The free adjustments would be great if it actually worked, but free has no value if the bike comes away with the same problems. I want to write a good review, as a whole the techs are very nice and friendly. Most of the sales staff is decent, except for the guy I bought the bike from, who I wont name. I have gone here since I was a kid for bikes, but honestly, Im done with them. With that said, Ive had similar issues with the specialized store across the street, so maybe Ill take up surfing or something.

My brakes were being really squeaky on a bike I recently purchased from Target. It was embarrassing to ride so I had been discouraged for a while. Well I had been doing some shopping today and while I was over by Barnes And Noble I decided it wouldnt hurt to have them check it out. I brought in my bike and everyone was very friendly. The guy who fixed it knew exactly what to do and even rode it around before giving it back to make sure he did a good job. Still makes a tiny noise but its not as embarrassing, plus he said thats what would happen. Didnt charge me anything (thankfully! I only had $20 in my bag!) Not only are the brakes better but I feel like it rides better now that Im not embarrassed to stop myself from riding into a car or something bad. He also was very quick. 10/10 would recommend. (Bikes and gear were expensive, but service was excellent!)

I took in my wheel to have a couple broken spokes replaced, and I specifically asked to have a new rim strip put on (its tubeless and I had to pull the old spokes through the rim strip). I got the wheel back, and there was no rim strip. Okay, not a big deal, Ill just put it on myself. They couldnt find tubeless rim strips. I said "Oh, theyre probably next to your Stans" but... wait for it... wait for it... they dont carry Stans. Or tubeless rim strips for that matter. Just beware that theyre a mid-range shop and wont have much beyond the basics. Now, next door at BikeSource, they had a whole section on tubeless stuff, including 4 different choices of rim strips, and a service guy poked his head out and recommended his favorite.

Horrible service practice. I brought my two kids bikes in for an annual tune up. The technician said "Youre too late, our tune up period ended Feb 28th. The only thing I can do for you now is do minor adjustments. But even that Ill have to make an appointment a month out, then youll have to leave it a couple days." What kind of Bicycle shop doesnt do tune-ups anytime of the year? The bicycles themselves are not worth what you spend on them either ($350 kids bike), but you assume that you would at least get a decent service experience. I have 4 kids under 10 and Ill be needing bicycles throughout childhood so I guess someone else will be getting that business.

My girlfriend and I found matching 72 Schwinns and hers needed a tune-up. I brought hers in to ask if they WANTED to work on it. I was the only customer in the store, but still had to wait for help. The guy said they WOULD fix it up for the steep price of $80. I figured they have to make a living, so sure. When the week went by, I called, but they hadnt looked at it yet. I gave them a few more days and called and was told it was the next one on the rack. 6 hours later they called to say that it was a "safety issue" that "old bikes frames could flex" and they wouldnt work on it. Picked it up and took it to the nearest bike shop and they did it in 2 hrs and $20.

I bought a 3500 bike here. The guy that I talked to said he is the expert of experts when it comes to bikes. As Im checking out another associate informs me the bike Im getting is probably going to be small so tells me to get the next size up. What wouldve happened if I he wouldnt have informed. I wouldve bought the wrong size from "Mr expert". So I let that one go and now a year later I bought another bike and they sell me the wrong size. Also they didnt fit it to me such as adjusting everything to me. Im putting in the time to write this review. Two seperate occasions they havent done the right thing. Im not purchasing again from this shop.

I raced for Bicycle Village/Raleigh (Kipling & Alameda) back in the 80s, before the name was sold to these guys. Last bike I bought here was for my wifes birthday. It was her first time with cleated cycling shoes/pedals and I told the bicycle mechanic not to make the pedals to tight. He was so busy talking about himself during his fitting he made the pedal on her dominant leg to tight. On her birthday, went for a ride in Glenwood Canyon, went up a little hill, she couldnt get out of the pedal, fell over, broke her wrist. Manager there said he do something about it but he never did, and he never followed up.

Brought in my trek fit service and was immediately greeted by Blake Im the service shop. I wanted a brake bleed and wheel true. Blake informed me I needed new pads and spent time making sure they were in stock. I received a call in a few hours and Blake said the work was finished, and he also spent time looking through other components on the bike and fixed a derailleur cable that was on its last legs. All this in one day! The service was impeccable, and Blake spent time above and beyond what was expected. I find it hard leaving my bike with just anyone, but will definitely be a repeat customer!

This place has terrible customer service. Ive gone in 4-5 times and every time, I feel as if Im a bother to the employees. Its as if Im really putting them out when I ask a question. I went in one time to buy a new helmet for my daughter and asked some pretty basic questions on fit and so forth, and the guy was like, "I dont know, Im not a child development expert." What?! I cannot go to this store again. I cannot reward slacker-like, apathetic behavior.

Bicycle Village of Littleton, and Peggy along with the rest of FREE Kids Learn-to-bike class instructors has been amazing. They are very patient and explain bicycling on a level that kids understand and master. They have taught two of my children to ride, and they are always polite, patient and professional! Everyone was a joy to work with and I look forward to taking my youngest son when he is ready!

Arrived in Denver for 3 days of riding to find that my rear derailer had let go. Called these folks up, explained my situation, took the bike to them. Richard in the maintenance shop got me fixed up, even pointed out some other issues that would need attention soon when I returned home. I really appreciate the way they got me in and out. I didnt miss any of my riding time. Good job folks. Thanks
