My wife and I had been discussing buying new bikes for some time, so we were in the neighborhood and decided to stop in to look around at Bicycle Village. Kyle approached us and talked us through many different options and available features. He was not pushy at all, and he was very knowledgeable about everything on the floor. He even let us ride around the store to try out bikes! We werent quite ready to buy just yet, so he even wrote down model numbers so we could do some price comparisons. We came back a week or so later to buy, and this time Cooper was there, who was also very helpful and accommodating. Then, following our purchase, we came back for Mechanic Monday, which is where you can speak with a bike mechanic who will answer any questions you might have about working with your bike. Wyatt was the mechanic who worked with us, and he was more than happy to answer all of our questions and show us the proper way to work on our new bikes. Bicycle Village is a great store with many types of bikes in stock as well as a bunch of very friendly and knowledgeable employees. I would highly recommend at least looking around in here if you are even considering a bike purchase.

Good bicycle selection and pretty good salesmen at this store. However most of the bicycle mechanics are snooty smart a****. When I first bought my bike there they serviced it making sure everything is running properly. They gave me my bike for a test ride and right away I could hear the disk brakes rubbing against the rotor. I told them this and they just blew me off as some guy that doesnt know anything about bikes. So I told the salesman he can keep the bike if he isnt going to adjust the brakes. The salesman quickly pulled one of the other mechanics aside and told him the situation and in 3 minutes he had the problem fixed. 2 months later I had to bring in my bike again because my brakes were howling and they didnt function properly anymore. I gave the bike to my mom to bring in because I didnt have the time. She brought the bike back and nothing was fixed, the mechanics had told her everything was fine with the brakes. This was clearly a lie and made me very angry that they would take advantage of my mom who didnt know how to explain the problem. I gave up on the Westminster store and took it to Boulder where they fixed the problem free of charge.

I recently visited this shop for the middle tier bike tune and a new headset on my Surly Troll. While in the parking lot loading the bike in the truck, the handlebars twisted off center from the wheel. Good thing that didnt happen against a rock on a trail. No big deal, I tightened it up myself. The front derailleur was off kilter from the chainring and rubbed when I put a 2.1" tire. The bike came stock with 2.3"s and clears 2.5"s easy. No big deal, I trued it. The shift cable lost tension within 2 days. The shop had undertightened the bolt which holds the Cable. When I was 8 miles into a 13 mile loop, I had to essentially retune the front derailleur to get onto any but the smallest chainring. The crimp on the derailleur cable also slipped off at the slightest tug, so now I have a frayed cable which will cost more to replace. Ultimately, the bike was returned in an unsafe condition due to the inability to properly torque multiple bolts. This could have caused injury or stranded me if I had been a less lucky or less experienced rider. Dont pay this shop money just to have to redo the work yourself in the field.

If I could submit negative stars, I would. Bicycle village is full of false advertising and empty promises. Who knew they would follow the used car sales model. Long story short, my girlfriend and I wasted a few days trying to get a bike built in her size. The day it was promised, we walked in to the shop prepared to spend about $2,000 on the bike, a car rack, and accessories. After waiting around for about 30 minutes we started to get one excuse after another. Turns out that the bike was never built and from what I could tell, it wasnt in stock. We looked at a few others and tested. When we decided to buy, somehow the listed prices were mixed up. We had to wait another 30 minutes while three employees scrambled to get the right price which was about $800 over the tag. At that point it was clear that this place is operating like a used car lot. We walked out and will never go back. I would recommend Golden Bear Bikes in Broomfield or University Bikes in Boulder. Their staff is very helpful and customer oriented.

i was looking for a Trek dealer regarding a frame warranty on an older Gary Fisher SC. While another well known store wouldnt help me at all, i contacted Bicycle Village. Scott and the service people were attentive and very helpful. When it looked like the Fisher was going to be a problem to ever be a rider again, we did some research, and got a great deal on my sons new Trek Marlin 6. Then, when i contacted Trek again regarding the broken head stock on my trusty 24 year old Super Caliber, Bicycle Village took that in and worked with Trek on the warranty service. They agreed to replace the frame, if Trek could provide one. Turned out Trek doesnt have frames for that old bike. So, Trek and BV GAVE me a NEW Marlin 5 BIKE! Everyone at this store was helpful and went above&beyond all expectations! We went in to make my old bike a rider again, and shop for my son, so both of us could ride. Met that goal. Excellent sales and service. My families bike business will be at this shop.

Horrible service. I have been in this store a few times and twice Ive left feeling insulted, like my old project bikes arent worth their time, and neither am I. Some of the front-end staff has been helpful in the past, but the bike techs are downright rude. I went in looking for brake studs and the tech tried telling me to buy a new fork...when a set of replacement studs are $8. My last negative encounter was when I was looking for reverse brake levers and was asked "Do you mean LEE-vers?" like I was stupid. Then he said they dont have any and I should consider buying an $1800 TT bike that had some reverse LEEvers on it. Perhaps if I was shopping for CF wheels or Fox components they would have given me better service, but Im a normal, budgeted cyclist. With so many better options in town, why bother stopping here?

The sales staff will tell you whatever you need to hear to make a sale. They discouraged me from utilizing the complementary bike fit because I they wanted me to spend more time on the bike before the fitting. I was assured several times that there was no time limit on the fitting only to find out that you had to do it in the first 30 days. I forced them to give me a free fitting. Turns out the bike was too big. The fitter actually suggested that I should sell my brand new road bike and buy another. Multiple staff members had previously assured me that the bike was a perfect fit. The fitter then swapped out several components to shorten the bike costing me more money. The whole thing felt like a con. Shop elsewhere!!!
