Bought my first bike in 30 years at PFB about 3 1/2 months ago. Seems to me they have always been patient with my questions (which I do have some pretty basic ones). Have always helped me with purchases but have never made me feel like they were pushing merchandise on me. I am set up now with my - bike - helmet - clipless pedals / shoes - lights - lock - seat pack with emergency flat gear They never tried to up-sell me or push merchandise I didnt need/want. They have recommended I get an air pump to keep my tires at optimum pressure. Although I am a newbie I had a friend who is a avid cyclist help me pick out a bike and he was very happy with the quality and price of the bicycle I got. He said it is a great entry level cyclocross bike that is upgradable. Dont know why so many people had bad experiences but I would recommend if you are interested in a bike or have a bike and need a good shop to keep it maintained, you give them a try and judge for yourself.

Performance bicycle used to have a excellent selection but it has gone down hill over the years. Now theyre barely a step above Walmart, you really are better off at a local shop. I was a paid performance savings member for probably 10 years or so but they started losing my membership data, routinely, and that really sucks to be at the register and they cant find you based on your phone number. Like many large chains employees dont really have any power to do anything about it and if you spend the time calling corporate they will fix it but then the information is lost again. Not worth it for 10% rebate. Plus they charge every single year to be a member unlike the other national outdoor sports company out of Washington State.

The first time we came was during their later hours after 6,when they werent busy, and were helped right away. The guy encouraged is to come the next day and bring in my husbands bike for repair. We came the next morning, the place was crazy busy, we dropped off my husbands bike easily. If you need a repair make sure your there early, because they fill up fast. They were short staffed, we returned three times to get help so that I could but a bike. Even though we did buy a bike from them the service was horrible during the day, they were short staffed. They need to to hire more people, because they are that popular. I would recommend going late at night if you want one-on-one help.

This company is the Wal-Mart of the bike-shop world (they also have a website that operates separately). They have some random sales that are pretty good but I wouldnt trust them to sell me a bike over the $500 mark. The bike brands they carry are OK for the beginner/commuter range. They have a random assortment of high-end parts and a decent clothing selection. Its funny because you can go on their website and get a better deal if you know what you are looking for. Although Ive never had them work on my bikes the prices dont seem to match the knowledge of the mechanics Ive spoken with. In a town our size there are quite a few locally owned shops that far exceed this place.

Their focus and culture at this store is definitely not focused on customer service. Joe was not able to help as he was doing the trash!!! They are quite happy to charge you for a bike that they dont order then it is you the customer who has to spend hours talking to the corporate office and spend time to go back to the store to prove that you bought and paid for a bike they didnt order. Instead go to Giant bikes at Aspen Grove - the staff know what they are talking about and you will receive excellent customer service. I know this as I just purchased a bike there and my husband is still trying to sort out the fiasco at Performance Bicycle for his bike.

They will ask what if I need help and than show me where, and let me look around without much bother which I like. Although today asked where the tool for cassette was to change it out. He handed me a couple things I need which was great but handed me the wrong size, and never asked what type bike or size I might need. I now need to make a return trip to get the right part. I think if your an experienced biker and know what you need it would be a great store. A rider who is starting to take care of his own bike instead of paying someone it could be better at bringing these folks along a little more. I might try another bike shop down the street.

I am lucky enough to live <10 mins from this place. It seems like every time I need something, it is on sale at Performance. Most of what Ive bought here has been the same price, if not cheaper, than on eBay or Amazon. That includes a Camelbak classic, Bell helmet, a pump, tire levers, etc. The staff is pretty helpful, no elitists. You will find the best deals toward the end of the season (late August, September). Unfortunately, there is a pretty serious wait time for bike service.

I have had really good experiences at this shop. It is my go-to place. I ride 5000 miles a year distributed over three bikes, so one is always in need of a a little TLC, and these guys always help me out. Ive gotten good guidance from the mechanics there. I dont understand the negative reviews. There is always a chance you can catch someone at a less than stellar moment wherever you go. Lets not be inhuman. Build a relationship with these guys and you wont be disappointed.

Waited around forever for someone to help me and no one ever came around to that. I went in to get 2 tires repaired and which both popped within the next week. After this i went it to repair them again and one of the tires popped within a day, i dont know if its because they dont know how to repair a tire correctly, or their parts in general are just very low quality. I have experienced many problems with this shop and i highly suggest not going to this store for anything.

Horrible service. I Would stand and wait for anything to get fixed here. This shop needs to be closed down for such bad service. Managers dont follow through on anything. These guys have some serious problems! They are every shady and untrustworthy. They had my new bike in the shop for 2 weeks for a minor fix, and they still didnt take care of it. come to find out they were riding my bike the whole time. Close this place down!!!! Lawsuit/investigation pending!

Highly recommend this Performance Bicycle location for new bicycles, service and accessories. The Saturday morning group rides are great for beginning and intermediate riders to get familiar with their bikes and make new friends. Watch the Performance Bicycle website for sales and great deals. The friendly and experienced staff can also provide helpful tips and information. Ive purchased two bikes here and have had a very positive experience.

I agree with all of the people below me, Called to verify employment, waited on hold for 5 minutes and then was hung up on. When called back and explained what happened, I recieved no apology and was told they are very busy as an excuse. The rest of the call went the same way, rushing me off the phone, and just completely rude and abraisive. They do not deserve your business in my opinion.
