Earlier this fall I was shopping for a car for about 3 months when I saw an 06 xterra available at this dealership. 18 years old I was working and asked my mother to go check out the car for me. She said the business seemed very good and trustworthy. She got the truck for 8,000, which is a little overpriced but they offered an extended warranty which is the whole reason we bought it. Whats there to lose? Well, within the first 2 weeks of owning my truck I had a leak coming from the rear axel and brought it into a shop to have it looked at. Turns out, I had leaks coming from the transfer case seal, rear differential seal, radiator, and power steering. $1500 in work. I called the warranty company and they pretty much told me these are all normal wear and tear and wont be covered, so I thought ok. You buy a used car, its not gonna be perfect and youll have to put at least a thousand into it. Months later I came across an article about nissan xterras from 04-08 having timing tensioner issues and would make a whining noise when driving, which is exactly the noise I heard from my car. I was about 100% sure the tensioners were going out and needed to be replaced, which is a very expensive fix. After getting it diagnosed by my mechanic, I called the dealer and talked with buzz. Buzz told me that the timing chain should never ever have to be replaced and refused to acknowledge the fact I already got it diagnosed and know it does, in fact need to be replaced. He said the warranty should cover it if it does and I told him they wont cover it as they already have my covered anything else. I asked him if they inspect their vehicles (related to the first issues with my car) he did they do and I asked him how they some way missed 3 leaks coming from the bottom and didnt want to tell us about them, or fix them before they sell it to their customers. He didnt have an answer. After telling him I just bought this car, 4-5 months ago and have already had to put $1500 into it and now will have to put another $2000+ into that this is ridiculous. They claim they stand behind their vehicles. They do not. Not to mention the smart question he asked me "when you need new tires do you want us to replace those too?". Ill never go back. If their mechanics cant inspect a vehicle properly I wouldnt trust any vehicle form there. The most they offered to us was that they could revalue my car to trade it in for another one. Why would I want another car when then one I just got from there has already had these issues? Makes no sense to me. Just got my car out of the shop after being in there for a week. Warranty company is supposed to cover powertrain, transmission, and engine. Apparently it doesnt cover anything cause timing tensioners, guides, and chain are the heart of the engine and werent covered at all. $2500 out of my pocket

I would encourage you to read the entire story of our visit and why I would give this company 6 stars. But in summary, I have been overly shocked at Eds honesty and integrity. We got a great vehicle at a great price. Please keep reading to get an idea of why I would recommend Drive 5280 to everyone. It is an example of how they do business and stand behind their product. We just bought a Toyota Highlander Hybrid from them. We worked with both Buzz and Ed. The experience was very straightforward and no hard salesman techniques (and I have seen quite a few techniques). We test drove the vehicle prior to buying it and it drove fantastic. However, there was a rattling noise coming from the steering column. It was driving my wife pretty crazy (and after a week of driving it, I dont blame her). We asked if they would fix it before we purchase the car. They tried, but to no avail. They told us to take it into a dealer and they will cover the costs. We took it in twice for them to figure out the cause of the noise and diagnosed a new steering column. It ended up costing quite a bit of money, and when I spoke to Ed I could tell that he wasnt expecting to pay for that much. This is where I was floored. He said, "I made a promise to you and your wife that we would fix it, and we will. I have learned a hard lesson for the future." I know that it was not a large profit opportunity for them to sell us the vehicle and do the repairs. But they valued the customer and having integrity over making money. My wife told me what I was thinking: "You dont see that very much in this day and age." And she is right. Thank you Ed.

I was initially put off by the location, as it is in a very industrial area, but was immediately impressed by the security of the building, the lot and the cleanliness of the interior. We called ahead to double-check on the inventory, because it drives me crazy to show up to a place to see a vehicle thats no longer available, and walked in to be greeted by Ed and Buzz. Buzz already had the vehicle we called about ready to be looked at and driven. As my wife and I went over the vehicle with a fine-tooth comb he was very friendly, honest and easy to talk to. After we test drove the vehicle and had decided we would like to purchase it we pointed out a few minor defects that needed to be fixed before delivery. Buzz was very accommodating and understanding about the work we wanted done on the vehicle. As we went inside to get all the paperwork done Buzz impressed us even further with his shining personality, sense of humor and overall wonderful demeanor and disposition. We had great conversation as we filled out all the paperwork and he was very thorough in explaining the vehicles background and history as well as the Dealers criteria for buying used vehicles. I do a majority of my own mechanical work on my vehicles and was very satisfied with the overall condition of the vehicle we purchased. My wife has an extensive history in warranty work with RV dealers and after he explained the 5280 warranty we were more than sold.We were thoroughly impressed with the business as a whole and would absolutely recommend this place to any of our friends and family!

My wife and I were looking in the private market for a used car that would get her back and forth to school. Looking in the private market was not working out as we experienced a profound lack of honesty in the advertizing of the cars we looked at. And like many folks these days we felt a little limited in our choices because of how hard our credit rating had been hit by the economy. One evening my wife came home talking about Drive 5280 and its owner Ed Bronstein, whom she spoke to personally that night. So I called Ed the next day and worked the preliminary details with his manager Buzz (who was just as positive and courteous). I was really surprised to get a call that same afternoon from Ed telling me that he was able to secure 100% financing for us. Shocked was more like it. We drove down that night to see the car Ed had set aside for us. We really wanted a Subaru for safety and durability and he had one there that was not only perfect for my wife in that she loved it but with only 50K miles on it... All the cars in their clean showroom were so clean and it was easy to see that they were all also very high quality cars. It was obvious that Ed and his staff do not stock just "any old car" in their shop. Ed and his staff at Drive 5280 were 100% honest from the start and the car and experience during and after has been every bit what we hoped for. They have my loyalty and our gratitude from here on out.
