Matt Martin (the “Bow Tie Auto Broker”) provided great service and made my new car acquisition easier and more efficient than any dealership-based experience I have had. I bought my new car, a Toyota Highlander Hybrid, from Matt on 4/1/2016. I was new to the broker approach, having been someone who has been “good” at, but did not enjoy, the traditional auto dealership buying experience (this was about the 6th car I have purchased). I am a very tech-friendly and consumer, and I found that Matt was able to work very efficiently with me via email, phone, and a small amount of face-to-face time. He was my one and only contact throughout the entire experience, which made for quick and efficient communication. Matt listened to my requirements and desires. He was able to steer me toward options I had not considered and steer me away from others that probably would have been a waste of my time. We considered both “slightly used” and brand new vehicles, and settled on new since the vehicle highest on my list is in high demand in Colorado so there are not a lot of “slightly used” models available for any appreciable cost savings. His insights were very helpful. He was not pushy. Quite to the contrary, he even brought in a car to test drive because I was insistent, even though he already knew me well enough to know it was not the one I would buy. He was right, but I felt better after having tried it. The decision to buy or lease was completely up to me, and Matt helped me to keep both options open right up until the final decision. He provided some value-added services that were helpful and appreciated. I’d estimate that I spent 60% of my total contact time with Matt actually test driving the 5 vehicles that he brought in from multiple manufacturers and dealerships, all of which were a near perfect match for what we had talked about. Including the test drives and the time to complete the purchase paperwork when I bought the car, I probably invested 5 to 6 hours TOTAL of my time over the course of 4 days. I’m fairly certain that Matt could have moved faster, but he was working around my availability. Incidentally, the car I bought was NOT one I test drove since he was able to find me one in a color I preferred over the similar model I test drove. So now, the kicker: How much did this great experience “cost” me? I would say that at H. M. Brown & Associates, with Matt Martin as my champion, I got a VERY fair price for a very high demand vehicle. To put my assertion in context, historically I have been one who “played the game” of making sure I got the best price possible for what vehicles I bought/leased, even if that required walking out of a few dealerships and starting over at others. I am very unlikely to ever take that approach again given how much more efficient and less stressful this experience was, especially considering I was looking at comparable models from different manufacturers. My trade-in was valued fairly and my financing options were every bit as good as I could have gotten elsewhere. So it really did not cost me much, if anything, additional out of pocket, but it certainly did save me valuable time. This is the way buying a vehicle should go. This is the place I will go to buy/lease my next one. And I sure hope that Matt is available when I get to that point again!

I went in search for a car around two years ago. I went into a few dealers to get an idea of what I would like to test drive but did most of my searching online. The dealerships felt so cheesy, and as soon as you say you are looking for a used car you get passed off to someone who isnt interested in hearing what you would LIKE to test drive and only shows you what they HAVE in stock at the time. H M Brown was 100% different. I met Jeff through a friend. He came with glowing reviews from several people I knew. Three days after I gave him the list of cars I was interested in he drove a car to my work to pick me up for lunch! It was a 2012 Nissan Juke with AWD in a nice compact frame. Bonus-it was turbo charged. I hadnt even considered the Juke before that day, it was kinda funny looking, but it did fit everything I was looking for in a vehicle. The next morning (Saturday), Jeff had seven cars lined up in the parking lot for me to test drive, four of the ones I requested (Subaru Crosstrek, Mini Cooper, Honda CRV, and the Subaru Legacy) along with two I had never considered (a larger Nissan and an Infinity sedan). And of course, the Juke. After test driving them all back to back I was still a little skeptical of my favorite pick of the day, the Juke. I had planned on buying a Cooper or a Subaru for my next car. Jeff said it was no problem that I needed time. He talked to his boss and let me borrow the Juke for the rest of the weekend so I could be sure that was my car! Who does that? Such amazing service!! I called Jeff up Monday morning and told him I had driven the Juke into work that day and would sign the paperwork at the end of my shift. Jeff came and picked up the car from my work parking lot to have it cleaned and detailed, then came back at the end of the day to pick me up. He stayed late that night to make sure we had time to go over all the details of the loan and the extended warranty. Because HM Brown is a broker and not a regular dealer I got to test drive all the cars I wanted, in the price range and model year I wanted, without having to deal with a salesman trying to push me into what they had in stock. Jeff gathered it all for me in one place. When I have had questions about how my warranty covered something or what the noise was that my car was making I texted Jeff and he immediately got back to me with the answer or promised to find me a solution. I cant even begin to tell you how great my experience was. If I could they would get 10 stars! I love my little Juke every day that I drive (her name is Buscemi, because shes kinda funny looking) and I have Jeff to thank for that.

Ive bought private party and through traditional car dealers before, and Ive generally had decent experiences, but this blew me away! Jeff Jamiesons friendliness, professionalism, attention to detail, and punctuality made this whole process as smooth as can be. Even with something as rare as a pre-owned Tesla, there was so little friction involved. I told Jeff I wanted a Tesla and he went and found the perfect one for me. I didnt have to haggle or wait around a dealer lot for a financing person to do whatever it is they do. H M Brown makes it so easy that with the exception of the test drive and signing the paperwork, I didnt even have to leave my office. Jeff even gave me the option of doing most of our communication over text and email. Buying my dream car barely even interrupted my work day, thats how easy H M Brown makes the car-buying experience. I dont want to go anywhere else in the future. Other thoughts: * Ive since asked Jeff for additional help - he pointed me to a great tire shop, offered advice for some body work after an accident, and their detailers did fantastic work cleaning the vehicle. * During his first yearly customer satisfaction check-in, Jeff offered and was able to start the process to refinance the car under even better rates than I previously had! I wouldnt have even thought to do that so his proactive approach saved me a bundle! * H M Browns entire staff was great to work with. Ive primarily worked with Jeff, but every interaction Ive had with any employee has been a friendly and professional one.
