About a month and a half ago I got in a car accident (totaling my truck) while right in the middle of a move out of state and was thus in the market for a new truck. I first went to Longmont Ford and looked at few newer model F-150’s. First off the salesman was not friendly. I was leaning towards one of the models but there were a couple of very noticeable defects on one of the 2015’s that concerned me so asked if Longmont Ford would be able to clean these areas up if I purchased it. The salesman then made a snide comment that the vehicle was used and referred to me as a “nitpicky customer.” He then groaned and said “well if that’s what it will take to earn your business” and said he could talk to his manager about touching up the areas in question. At that point I knew I wasn’t going to do business with Longmont Ford. Before heading back to Denver, I pulled up my phone to pull up the addresses of a couple other Ford dealers that had some F-150’s that I wanted to look at. I then stumbled across a new listing for a 2015 F-150 at Stevinson Hyundai in Longmont. I was already familiar with the Stevinson name as I have another vehicle that is serviced by a different Stevinson dealership and they have always treated me very well. When I arrived at Stevinson Hyundai, I was immediately greeted by Pierce. Pierce was very friendly with me and seemed to show genuine interest in me and not just in selling me a car. My treatment by Pierce was the exact opposite I received by the salesman at Longmont Ford. When I returned a couple days later Pierce recalled bits of our conversation from my 1st visit and was in no way pushy at all for a sale. I loved the truck, its condition and my overall treatment by Stevinson staff particularly Pierce Von Schlesien and Matt Baugher. Great couple of guys! Even after the sale was completed, I chit chatted with both guys for about 10-15 minutes and I never got the feeling that they had just sold me a car and were done with me. Even after leaving the dealership with the truck, Stevinson Hyundai did not fail to impress me. A couple bumps came up in my house closing (not on my end) and it got delayed two separate times. Johan back in finance graciously worked with me and held my check until my final closing date (several days after our initial agreed upon date) until cashing my check. To sum up this was the best experience I have EVER had purchasing a vehicle through a dealership. I already had great experiences with the service staff at Stevinson Imports but Stevinson Hyundai really took it to another level. Thanks Pierce, Matt and Johan!

Unfortunately, I have to say that it is a rare occurrence to step on any car lot and have a great time! Usually, you can just feel the fact that the so called sales rep is intensely focused on their commission. Happily, Jim Rosa with Stevinson Hyundai was the almost miraculous exception. He was professional, engaging, very knowledgable, tech savy, and 110 percent focused on fitting us with the best options to fulfill OUR objectives, and therefore , whether or not we had a winner also fulfill his. In addition in a time when a low brow BULLY whose name I will not call out, can be glibly referred to on national television as "authentic" as praise for spitting out whatever ridiculous, unreflective idea he may think will make him a sound bite hero, we hesitate to use such an abused adjective, but in this case Jim earned and deserves our best accolade: He is, in our opinion, without question, authentic. When he asks probing questions, he is genuinely interested in discovering what our needs, goals, and objectives are, in order to apply his knowledge and skill in facilitating our choice. It is not a sales technique, but an abiding interest in both parties winning. That is why when we are shopping for another car, Stevinson Group will be the first dealer we will visit, and Jim will be the FIRST CALL we make. Heartfelt Thanks again Jim. Jordan Fox-Collis and his treasured daughter . Check out her blog at Via Victoria, you might see some pictures of the great, safe, affordable auto that Hyundais world class engineers and the Stevinson Auto Group made available at a price point that a young hard working professional not long out of college could afford. Speaking of hard working young professionals, Pierce Von Schlesien, the finance manager also stayed late after closing time to finish up the project, while Jim taught Victoria how to use all the abundant tech features in the Elantra. I assure you that this review is not just a way to call attention to her blog. She is a capable and talented blogger with a following, while I only visit a few. I just wanted to give her a chance to also express her appreciation for Jim and the rest of the team effort. As a veteran, I was also really impressed that Hyundai expressed appreciation for my service with an actual price adjustment, not just some platitudes. Thank you for reading this long winded review. I dont spend much time on negative feed back, but when such a welcome experience is made real, I feel it is our duty to speak out in praise of the extraordinary in the midst of every day life. Thank you Jordan Fox-Collis

We enjoyed dealing with Al, he was very friendly and somewhat knowledgeable on the products. We were looking at smaller hatchbacks, primarily the Veloster and Elantra GT, in competition with the Mazda 3, Subaru Imprezza, and Prius. We chose the Elantra GT because it seemed like the best value and was a comfortable car, more so than the Mazda 3 and was better on fuel economy than the Subaru. Have absolutely no issues with the car or the initial sales process. However, when it came time to finalize the deal is where the experience fell apart. The normal dealership routine of the salesman getting the basic numbers, in this case a final sales price of 21,600, what are we putting down, etc, etc. So after a wait came back and said the amount financed would be 18,400 and at 2.9% the payments would be $399. Now, simple math shows that is around 10.5% and not 2.9%. Whether that was a simple mistake or a deliberate effort to mislead I dont know, but it was insulting and I feel an effort to mislead us. That was the first item in the process that Stevinson lost all trust on my part. After coming to terms with honest numbers that actually worked, the next part of the process is to be handed over to the sales manager or finance guy. This is where Stevinson has guaranteed not to have my business in the future. The first was 3 attempts to get us to buy an extended warranty to bump the entire vehicle to 10/100 instead of the 5/60. First it started at $2800, then dropped to $2100, and finally $1200. Really? Why not just start with $1200 instead of giving the impression that youre trying to mislead and rip people off? Finally after firmly saying no for the third time, he quit pushing the extended warranty. Thinking we were done, he then flips the sheet of paper over to discuss some ancillary services, like glass protection, clear bra, paint and fabric treatments, theft prevention, etc. All of which Id be interested in normally. But, for a deluxe clear bra offering at $795, and paint and fabric treatments at $595, I dont think so. So after initally saying no, the price drops to $400 for the clear bra and $300 for the paint and fabric treatment. Once again, trying to mislead and take advantage of people and rip them off. That pretty much blew any trust I have with Stevinson and I will never do business with them again if this is the way all their dealerships are run.
