Bought a GT Backwoods bike here in June 2016. One of the main reasons I bought it was because there was a 1 year warranty on the bike stating that if you werent pleased with the bike, you could return it for your money back. The bike gave me so many problems. The pedals broke in the first month, there was a popping sound when I would pedal, broke the derailleur hanger. I rode it pretty hard so its understandable that things were breaking. I take it back after 6 months of nothing but problems and tell him the issues Ive been having. I was expecting a refund since its only been 6 months and I wasnt pleased with my purchase. The manager of the store tells me they dont do warranties anymore and cant do anything about it! He didnt even offer to fix the bike for a discount. I wont be shopping there anytime soon and I hope this review shows other potential customers that Performance Bike does not care about customer satisfaction or keeping their word. They just want to make a buck.

They seemed too busy talking amongst each other to help. I brought in my sons bike today for an easy brake fix and was immediately given multiple reasons why I couldnt be helped. I love it when you are chastised like I was today for things like coming in on the weekend because, as they stated, they have more availability for service on weekdays. Sorry, I didnt know, and I work all day every weekday. I went about 3 blocks to another bike shop who fixed my sons bike within 20 minutes. I will keep my business with this other store. I was shocked to be treated this way given the previously high Google ratings of this place and low ratings for the place I ended up. Customer service at Performance was bad, simple as that, it felt like they had no interest in getting and maintaining my business.

I was sitting having breakfast near the store today when I Googled Performance Bicycle, which was across the street. I saw the store opened at 11 am and it was 1015 am. I read the last review for the store and was concerned about going in since the author of the post was not pleased. I had to drive by anyway to take my wife to the fabric store. I noticed Performance Bicycle was open and it opened at 10 am on Sunday - not 11 am like the web stated. I walked into the store and was immediately greeted by an employee. I let him know why I was there and I was looking for a deal on bike apparel. He worked with me for about 20-25 minutes and never acted like I was wasting his time. I was very pleased with the service. Im glad I drove by.

I rarely feel compelled enough to write a review but my experience here was remarkable. I purchased a mountain bike, test drove it and it felt great. Over a span of two days the bike had multiple issues (chain off alignmet, chain broke, chain off alignment again after they replaced it) which I had to come in three seperate times for. They gladly repaired and realigned the bike each time free of charge but I was fed up. No questions asked they gave me a full refund and swapped me into another bike. They stand behind their products 100% and I highly recommend them.

Good grief...my husband and I went in there one weekend morning -- no other customers in the whole store -- four or five employees in there -- and NO ONE greeted us, asked us if we needed help, NOTHING. Unbelievable. We even moved some bikes out and sat on them. No one came to help us out or see if we had any questions. We had gone in there to buy two mountain bikes -- one for each of us, but walked out and spent $900 at another, much more helpful bike shop in town.

They not only put my childs bike seat on my bike (which was not an easy task due to the kind of bike I have) but they explained how to use it and showed me how to make sure my child is safe.They are so nice, helpful, knowledgeable and willing to take the time to educate anyone willing to listen. Even my 5 year old learned alot in our visit. My experience at Performance Bicycle was wonderful! I will recommend them to all my family and friends!!

So impressed by Daniel and Zach at the Colorado Springs store! They very kindly gave me a replacement part for my bike carrier that I had bent because (embarrassed here) I backed into something (the rack is fairly new and light enough that I forgot it was there). I was really lucky that they had this spare part in their shop, but even luckier that they wanted to make my day and go out of their way to help me out. LOVED IT!

I had a great experience with this shop......Purchased a bike for my wife and felt at home with the staff......It is definitely my new go to bike shop........In three years I have visited a half dozen bike shops between Castle Rock and the Springs.......At last I have felt I have found a home......Freindly and knowledgeable staff......Dont forget to ask about the membership.......Thank You Performance Bicycles!!!!!

Went in tonight for some bolts. Waited in the first line for five minutes. Got the wrong size bolts. Standing at the cash register with four other people for ten minutes and not one employee said anything. They were too busy in the shop area not paying attention. I had to walk out with no bolts. They wanted $1 each for bolts that cost .15 elsewhere. Poor tire choices as well.

Absolutely fantastic service and great prices as well. Searching for a bike shop to treat me as well as I was accustomed to in Ohio and hit the jackpot! Don, Steven and Zack have treated me like family since I moved here. Always patient and generous with time and continued service on my purchases from them. Dont bother going to any other shop in the Springs!

I had a great experience at this store. Both Zach and Don (manager) were helpful and informative. After test riding many bikes I came back and purchased from them. It was a Saturday evening and although Don was trying to go home, He stayed to make sure the bike fit me well Love my new bike and very grateful to both Zach and Don.

Year 4, and you come by for your free lifetime tune up. Apparently you get to see it on a bike stand, but its never touched by their mechanic. You fimd this out sfter you get home, and nothing was tuned up on the bike at all.

I was looking for a bike shop and Performance is great. Although I live 20 miles away and pass another one on the way down to the Springs, I would rather give my money to this shop vs. another.

Worst customer service.. No one helped us the 20 minutes we spent checking the bikes.. Planning to buy 3 bikes.. They lost the business. I would not recommend this store to anyone..
