Wow! I live in Trinidad. I have to say if I lived in another state, I would still drive to Criterium Bicycles. Nick the owner has taken care of me on multiple occasions when I was down and out and needed parts for my bike. They took care of me and took it off another bike so I could keep cycling. Just purchased my new race bike from them and from the fit Ryan does, which is meticulous down to cms. (Expect to spend some time to get fitted they want to make sure it is perfect, which is just incredible, no rushing they want it perfect.) I couldnt be happier or consider any other bicycle shop. If you buy a bike or just walk through the doors expect to be treated as the only and best customer they have ever had. Everyone treats you this way in the shop. The mechanics that have worked on my old S-Works and new, Josh, Brian and Chris are number one. Wouldnt trust my bike in any one elses hands. Truly cannot say enough about this shop. In a state, a town that has multiple bike shops, do yourself a favor and bypass the rest and just go to Criterium. If they dont have it they will get it. You will get the best professional fit for your bike you ever had. The owner makes himself available and acts as if hes just another employee. Thats the kind of attitude everyone has, just laid back. If you need a mechanic they have one for anything and fast and done right. Bypass the rest and just go to the best first. Save yourself a lot of money and time and frustration. You will have the best of everything from this shop. They have earned a lifelong customer for all my bicycling, racing, anything bike related needs. I have plenty of kids to keep in bikes over the next 18 years with them as well. Haha just a top notch bike shop.

Awesome experience. After wandering around REI thinking I may be invisible, I decided to visit Criterium and see if it was so. From the moment I walked in the door AJ was ready to help. He inquired about my riding needs and then spent well over an hour fully dedicated to fitting me to several bikes, from several manufacturers, in several price points. Once we had bikes selected he prepped them for a test ride on the trail that conveniently for me runs right past their front door. You just cant buy without riding and Criterium made it an easy task to test several bikes. The attention received from AJ and the rest of the crew proves that Criterium understands the importance of customer service in todays competitive market. The perks offered by Criterium after the sale are too numerous to list, from free maintenance classes on Wednesday evenings to free lifetime bike fittings and adjustments. Why buy a bike from anything other than a bike shop. Criterium knows bikes, its what they live and love each and every day. If you want hiking boots go to a camping store. If you want a bike, go to Criterium. Robert on the floor was so awesome to talk with, his willingness to assist in helmet selection and lighting was above and beyond what has become the expected norm in customer service. Kudos to Criterium for delivering a customer experience that has long gone by the wayside in todays culture. So so so happy that I chose to stop in. If your out bike shopping do not make a purchasing decision before you stop in and see the incredible inventory and staff at Criterium. Thanks AJ and the rest of the most helpful crew !

Sketchy or just bad, maybe both. I had a worn out shift and dropped of my bike for them to warranty. He said it would be a few days for shipping so I picked it up again to keep riding while Im here. I noticed my my derailleur was touching my spokes on the largest cassette, and the hanger looked bent. I honestly dont know when it got bent, but I changed the hanger and it was right again. I take the bike back when my warranty shifter came in. Right after he put it on he pops off my derailleur and bends it. Im like WTF! He says because its a hand made frame it needed adjustment. Yeah because hand made frames are not made in frame jigs or something. I have watched a few videos and what he did was not really the same as what I saw in videos. This guy is either bad or daring enough to try and sabotage my bike in front of me. I even brought him beer because I know they dont make money spending time on the phone with vendor. I even had him change cable housing and insisted he charge me for the work. They made some money. But that wasnt enough. He was going to damn near get me for a new bike and a trip to the hospital. 80% of my bike is less than 1 year old and I know this because Facebook just showed me a picture I posted. If you have had your rear derailleur get sucked into your wheel after service here please post a review.

These guys are awesome! Not just the owner, but the guys helping him as well. All of them are riders. I just went in to re-fit my bike from a road to a tri config (I have an aero road bike) and they took tons of time making sure it was right (even told me to come in if there was somethong "off"). I bought a new saddle, but the main focus was making sure I was in the best saddle for me (including my old saddle). I cant speak for them, but they have done 2 fits with no charge... they just want to make sure I enjoy my ride. I have purchased from other bike stores in town and can tell you that you will enjoy your ride much more with these guys. They take the time to figure out what you want to ride and in what conditions. They know what they are talking about in terms of geometry and fit. Obviously, they want to sell you a bike, but they want you to enjoy riding it! I must have gone in 10 times to look at the bike I was considering and the only "pressure" I got was to encourage me to get the "right" bike (from them or somewhere else). *** I am a customer and have no tie to this shop other than my experience. Not sure if this review allows emails, but you can email me any time in regards to this review.

We rented road bikes from Criterium and the experience was great! I will definitely rent from them if Im ever back in Colorado Springs. I reserved the bikes a week in advance and all it took was a quick phone call. We were quickly able to pick up the bikes when we arrived and the staff put on pedals we brought from home. We were offered helmets and seat adjustments too. All of this was included in the very reasonable $50/day rental price. The bike I rented was a Specialized Roubix Comp and it was fantastic. Everything on the bike was in great working order and the bike handled great over the New Sante Fe Trail (which is right next to the bike shop). I dont know this but I suspect the shop swapped out the original cassette for one more suited for hilly terrain (a good idea). Either way, I had no problem with riding around the Garden of the Gods or the Air Force Academy. The shop is well stocked in case you forget anything from home. The icing on the cake is the shop sells custom Peal Izumi Colorado jerseys with the shops name, Criterium -- my favorite souvenir!
