So I had been saving up for months to find the right bike. I have lived in Colorado for 10 years and have always wanted to mountain bike. I asked my friends, who all ride where I should go and they all recommended Ascent Cycling. When I went in Patrick was very knowledgeable about the different bikes and found one that fit all of my needs. He took his time and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. I went camping in Breck for a weekend and my truck broke down. I needed a bike while it was in the shop. I called Patrick and told him I was ready to buy my 2014 specialized Rockhopper Pro Evo but could not come in, because I live across town, and my truck was in the shop. Patrick not only took my order over the phone for my bike and helmet, but then delivered it to me at work so I could ride it to and from my job from my house. I have owned many bikes, but have never experienced exceptional customer service like this. I will always recommend Ascent Cycling to my friends and will always use them for future purchases. When he delivered my bike he had already adjusted for me, and the sales receipt had everything document as far as when I first came in, what bike we looked at, adjustments needed to be made, and any conversations that we had even over the phone. It was like a time line of detailed information about my purchase, even my wife who doesnt understand the passion of riding was impressed. Great job and keep up the amazing work you do Patrick and team at Ascent Cycling.

Wish I could zero stars. Purchased an older Specialized downhill bike for our son and took it to Ascent to have it gone over and serviced which took them almost 2 WEEKS to complete. They didnt seem to enthused with having to work on it when we dropped it off but we just blew it off. They had to order a couple of parts, which is understandable but we figured they would start working on some of the issues and then when the parts came in, they would finish it up. No, they waited until they had all the parts to even start which had we known that, we wouldnt have left the bike there to just sit. When we called to see if it was done on the day they said it was supposed to be done when we dropped it off, they said it wasnt ready that the parts had just come in and hadnt been inventoried yet. They pushed the completion date to Friday. Called back Friday evening and was told it wasnt ready, that theyll try to have it done on Saturday. Went in on Saturday to pick it up and the amount they quoted was different. When we asked why the price difference, they just started to read down the list of parts without an explanation as to the cost difference. Being that it wasnt a large difference and by that time pretty fed up, we decided to just get out of there. We did ask what the normal turnaround on servicing in which they stated 48 hours when theyre busy. There are quite a few other bike shops in town, I would suggest to go to one of those instead of Ascent.

Perfect Local Shop!!! For those seeking another box store or hyper-eclectic bike shop experience, then this is not the shop for you. However, for the rest of us "normal" people, Ascent Cycling is perfect. The staging of product is unique and cool, the owners are also head mechanic and/or lead sales staff. Ascent is the most visible shop in the local race scene and they serve us with tons of volunteerism. I havent found another shop in town so dedicated. Within this tough economy they manage fair prices and support our troups, so while you may have to wait for a special order of parts that others have in stock, the place is worth supporting and a second visit. The bikes I have bought have all been correctly priced and the service doesnt stop until the problems are fixed. Out of 5 stars, I give them 6 - they are real and they support our community. If you want to be coddled and tricked, they dont know how, if you want to learn about bikes and have a thoughtful purchasing experience, then Ascent is your shop. Its not about online orders, only the pros, or location; its about good people who love bikes!

I recently took my mountain bike in to Ascent Cycling because I managed to jack up my derailleur in attempting an ill-advised self repair of the bike. I was greeted by an employee (unfortunately, I did not catch his name), who told me he would be with me as soon as he finished helping a previous customer. My son and I browsed the store for a minute or two before the employee was assisting me. He promptly took my bike back to the service area, quickly diagnosed the problem, and in less than two minutes, made the necessary adjustments (not to mention he didnt outright accuse me of bike abuse when he said, "I dont know how many people live at your house, but somebody has..." and he proceeded to tell me how "someone" had goofed up my bike. He gave the bike back to me and asked if there was anything further I needed. I told him no and asked how much I owed him. He extended his hand and said, "Just think of us next time you need anything." I was in the store less than 10 minutes, and left with a fully operating bicycle at no charge. Ascent Cycling earned my future business that day.

I bought my bike from a different shop, but I started taking my bike to Ascent because a few of the guys I ride with suggested it and Ascent is a hell of a lot closer to where I live. Justin, Kal and Patrick are top notch mechanics and all round great guys. When I first brought my bike to them, Justin and Patrick spent two hours with me going over every aspect and component of my bike and properly set up my bikes suspension all at no cost. Theyre great at explaining things to a noob like me without making me feel like a complete idiot and they wont stop working on a problem until its fixed to perfection. The other day I was in their shop and a parent brought her child in for a replacement wheel on an inexpensive kids bike. They treated this little guy just as well as they do the people who spend thousands of dollars in their shop. It was really cool to see. Like I said, I didnt buy my bike at Ascent, but they sure treat me like I did.

Best Experience Ever! Purchased a 2016 Specialized Fat Boy Comp and could not be happier with my decision. Every single team member there was beyond incredible and friendly. Patrick took the time to learn about my riding style, educate me on the different classes of bikes, and then shared his expert recommendations with me on which bike would be the best fit. Not only was I excited about my purchase after leaving the store but I also felt completely confindent in the bike I selected after talking with him. Best part of the experience was he took the time to take a number of laps around the store with me on different bikes so I could feel and better understand the technical concepts he was explaining. Again, cant say it enough. Best Experience Ever. Thanks Patrick and team!
