I went here yesterday with two buddies to get some last minute things before a hiking trip. Ryan and Gretchen were the friendliest and most helpful individuals I have ever met at a gear shop. These people set the standard for customer service. From the time we walked into the door until the time we left, Ryan helped us find the items we needed, giving us advice and making sure we were good to go. When we had an obscure question that Ryan could not answer, Gretchen dropped everything she was doing and came over to help. We spent about a half hour in the store. There were about ten to fifteen other shoppers, but we were treated like we were the only people present. In regards to selection, they had everything we needed (trecking poles, microspikes, and a pack). Additionally, they gave us free cups of tea. It was just an all around great experience. Something you cant get at REI.

Every time I go there, whether I end up buying or if Im just poking around, the team that works here is: 1. Friendly 2. Helpful 3. Knowledgeable For me, I hate giving money to business that are not those things, and they seem to be around in abundance. Their inventory is rockin too. You can bring in your mountain gear for consignment and get some $$$ for it or you can choose to donate the money to an outdoor cause. Its a great place for Colorado Springs, for those who like awesome used stuff for doing awesome outdoor stuff.

I had an awesome experience buying a bike from this store. The guys working he bike part of the store were extremely accommodating, and everyone I talked with in the store was very kind and more than willing to work with me. I love the non-profit that theyve tied into selling bikes from their store- they do a lot for the communtiy, especially the kids. Their prices are great! Bikes are only a portion of what they do, too- you can find plenty of other outdoor gear in this awesome shop.

I met the owners Mike & Julie when they opened, super people. Their big idea about recycling good outdoor gear and helping charitable causes has really taken off! Shopping their big selection of outdoor boots, shoes, clothes, bikes, backpacking gear is part of my routine, now I can do it online. Today I own several jackets, shirts and shoes from MER, they have my pack on their wall, and I have my eye on a puffy jacket there.

Went here today for some ski boots, wow this place rocks! Friendly staff worked hard for 20 minutes to find boots that fit perfectly at a fantastic price! Even traded in other boots that didnt fit anymore for credit towards the right ones. Prices so good we bought some accessories. Will definitely be back, our new one and only shop for ski & snowboard equipment. Highly recommend!

This place is great We have been coming here consistently for 5 years always super nice and great at helping you find the gear you need, they also know all the good nearby trails, ski resorts, and camping places so it is a great place to get ideas for where to go next.

Ive both bought and sold here. Friendly and knowledgeable folks; you can occasionally find a real steal at out of season sales. If youre selling, you may get more online; the trade off is price for convenience.
