I brought in a kids bike to have the worn tires replaced and the rims trued. I was told the tires would have to be ordered and it would take 3 to 5 business days to get them in. I was told that once the tires arrived, it would just take a day to do the work. After a week we followed up with this shop, only to find out they forgot to order the tires. We were told the same song and dance as before about the wait to receive the tires. We received a call on a week later informing us the tires arrived and they needed a day to perform the work. We were told the bike would be ready on Monday. We clarified that the work was to include installing the tires and truing the rims. We were told "no problem" Monday the bike was not ready. I could see the bike with the ordered tires hanging from the handle bars. I was apparent that no work was done on Saturday as we were told. I explained that the bike was needed for an event on Wednesday, ad their shop had ample time to have this simple repair accomplished, had they not dropped the ball right from the start with forgetting to make the order. Tuesday, after work I went to the shop to pick up the bike. The tires were installed, but they forgot to air them up. After they corrected this, I checked the wheels for true spin. They wobbled like crazy. The service staff played dumb about this being stated as work to do, until I showed them my receipt that clearly laid out the work to done. At this point I asked for the manager, hoping to get some reasonable understanding of the less than poor service. I showed him the repair ticket and spun both wheels to demonstrate the wheel wobble. I ask him if these wheels look like they were spinning correctly. He stated "they do not" I stated that the length of time and lack of professionalism of his business is embarrassing. He only stated “yeah, I would be upset too". No attempt at making things right was offered. He just stood there unengaged. This review should not come as a shock to the manager, as I clearly stated that I would be making a public review of this appalling service. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. The tire guys a Wal-Mart are far more competent to change a tire than these clowns!

0 star rating. April 1, 2011, We bought a 2011 Trek Remedy 9.9 through Bicycle Village Colorado Springs, Colorado for $8595.99. For a brand new bike it had problems from the beginning, it doesnt have the parts it came with. From April to October 1 the bike was constantly in the shop. Bicycle Village made us pay for every issue yet the bike would not work. Bicycle Village ** had the worst customer service*** Bicycle Village made us spend about $500 to try to fix a brand new bike. We got fed up and took the bike to Criterium, they had better customerr service but wasnt an authorized dealer so Trek would not work with Criterium and they did more for me as a customer than the first company. Old Town Bike Shop was the 3rd shop to try to fix the brand new Trek. All in all the cost wasnt just 8595.99 but at least another $1000, our time, bike doesnt have the parts that we paid for and poor customer service from authorized trek dealers. Our negative experience has been passed on to other consumers. Trek has not followed up with us and or wanted to try to compensate for the extra cost that we incurred on a brand new bike that didnt work in the beginning. We have had to drive the bike to various locations to be fixed, then try the bike out to see what else was wrong with it between April thru October. We will not recommend Trek to anyone, our experience with Trek and the authorized dealers have been horrible.

WHAT A GREAT SHOP!!!! I have been around bike stores for many years, and this is by far one of the best. I was nervous with some of the reviews I saw, but the service I experienced was perfect. I went in to by my grandaughter a new bike, and some extras so she can ride to school. The sales staff was super helpful, despite being incredibly busy. I was helped by no less than 4 people, and they all answered all of my questions and help me not only with the bike but the extra gear we needed. After that initial sale, the service techinician checked over the bike before we left and installed our lights, bottle cages, and bags for FREE!!! Most places will charge and/or not do it at all. He then gave me the bike, and explained the lifetime free tune-ups to me. This was great, because even though I know that things break in on a new bike, he told me that we should come back in 60 days to get the bike checked for that break in. The final highlight was when we were leaving the store, the Manager was at the front and asked us if we got all of the help we needed. What a great experience!!! I recommend this place to anyone who needs a bike in Colorado Springs.

I walked in looking to spend about a $1000 on a universal rack system. Alone, I began trying to figure out exactly what specific system was needed for my vehicle. I spent a fair amount of time looking through the Thule master catalog until frustration set in. After about 30 minutes or so go by...I realize that there is a "stack" of promotional Thule catalogs (not the master catalog) and that I can maybe give this some extra thought when I get home. I decide to grab one and on the way out I ask the cashier if its ok if I take one. He says, "NO, THATS STORE PROPERTY!". I said "theres like a stack of at least 5 copies of what appears to be promotional material that is not even close to be a master catalog"...his reply..."THAT IS STORE PROPERTY" as he extended his hand. . When it comes down to it....I spent at least 30 minutes in this store and the only thing that was said from anyone in this "disgrace" of any business is..."NO, THAT IS STORE PROPERTY..THAT IS STORE PROPERTY...about free stuff left by a vendor. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!! Write Thule, write yakima, write trek and let them know how much a joke these imposters are...

While on vacation, I visited several stores in Colorado - had planned the trip to do that as i was driving and not in a hurry. I was looking for a bike in the 2,000 dollar range, and while I found one here and there nothing really jumped out at me. Until I got to the Bicycle Village and found a leftover 60cm bike with Campy components. The tires were very low and the person helping me aired them up. I felt nearly certain that this was the bike - and wanted to ride it in the parking lot to make sure it felt good. But, as i had an out of state license I was told they did not allow it as I would go back home (To Texas) and buy it there. I found this pretty irritating - as this was not the current model and tracking one down would likely be difficult. They did offer to let me ride it around the store - which is meaningless. Had they offered to put it on a trainer I might have bought it. Instead, I left without buying anything - and went down the street to Olde Towne Bicycle Shop, where I did buy a bicycle. And no, I wont be returning to the Bicycle Village.
