After 15+ years we are done shopping here. Given that their chain has apparently degraded to the point that you have to sit on hold with a call center to complain about their service, I suspect well be switching to King Soopers instead of just another Safeway store. The quality of the people that they are hiring has gotten so bad that common courtesy is rare and you can absolutely forget customer service. Today when I asked for the rude employees name, she snapped "I aint GOT no name!" and stormed off. Aware that I was going to file a complaint, she was already at customer service when I got there trying to get her side of the story in first. Then, she stood there huffing and snorting in an attempt to intimidate me as I talked to assistant manager and finally she had to be told to leave so I could finish. Sadly, this is about average for most of the newer employees - foul language on the floor, more interested in personal conversations than working, airing grievances about their working conditions (which frequently seem to include the fact they are expected to do the job they were hired for), and so on. The real bummer here is that my initial problem didnt even include her but she butted in and, by doing so, made a small problem into one that I ended up taking to corporate and, at that point, there was no way for me to leave the employee who I had the original problem with (who apologized and was very polite) out of it. So by being rude and nasty and forcing her way into the situation, she ended up getting her friend in trouble for something that I wouldnt have even complained about after his apology.

Hello, I grew up in this part of Aurora and have been taken/going to this particular Safeway all my life. It may be a smaller supermarket and the selection can be limited, however it is the closest market from my home and i like to know that i support local businesses.... at least for the employees. They have of late been a little short on the staffing but they are doing the best that they can. I like the checkers that have been there for a while and i chat with them often. I like the prices and there are usually not to many people except right before a large snow storm and i was not prepared too....! Thank you Guys for all you do. Cheers

Very meh. The place is nice and clean but their selection is almost nonexistent. I kept searching for the rest of their meat department. I couldnt even find a large carton of heavy cream and they were missing a type of Mission tortillas that every other store seems to carry, even Target. Likely wont be returning. Edit: I lied and went back. Dropping from 3 to 2 stars. Their checkout lines just keep getting longer and Ive found countless expired foods in various parts of the store. Their only redeeming quality is that most of their cashiers are friendly.

The prices here are super high compared to king soopers. The only benefit is that it seems less crowded. Most of beef was turning brown and expensive and "fresh" chicken had freezer burned spots. A lot of stuff that was posted on sale didnt ring up on sale but you have to go stand in customer service line to hassle for your dollars. One manager was trying to give some employees a pep talk but it sounded more like threats and verbal abuse to me. The vegetables and fruit section looked very nice and wasnt picked over.

This was my big shopping night, walked the whole store, had a buggy full. Went to the register (that was open with a light on), unloaded my whole buggy, and then the young man turned off the light, tells me someone did something wrong and hes got to go help, and left me standing there for 10 minutes. I have two bad knees, I was in lots of pain after walking the whole store, I finally left, without my groceries. I will not be back in the store after shopping in it for 25 years! I will now shop at King Soopers.

I am editing my review. I HAD TO COME BACK. Today was a great experience. Apparently there is a new Director fpr f try is location. Great experience this time. Very friendly service. Worst Safeway I have ever been to. No customer service. Huge long line 1 cashier she calls a 2nd one who doesnt even say I can help you here. He just stands there like why arent you coming to my line? I wont be back. Funny too because I like Safeway and drove 8.6 miles here. I will return to King Sooper. Very sad.

This particular store is very badly staffed, under stocked and NOT prepared for an 8:00 AM shopping experience. Deli wasnt open, store brand bread had not been stocked, many empty spots on shelves. Going to king soopers next time, same distance away and better stocked, and prepared to serve the customer. Two cashier spots open, both express and then one walks away cause it was not their job to cashier. Also yelled across lanes to ask "whose our boss today"...

I recently went and some employees always seem as if they dont enjoy their job but 2 young boys, one Asian boy and one African American boy really changed the vibe of the store in a great way! They both made the shopping experience great for me and my family! Stores need more people like them, I believe their names were hue and badaso. Not to mention the out standing job the older people like Mark and Kevin do! (:

Im right now at the cashier line only one is open , this line looks busy , cashier too much bla bla bla to another customer , Im here in line from 18 minutes still busy , express line better just 2 lines , is crazy , I come here for long time , but I think time to move another store like king sooper ,they have many cashier open include automatic cashiers

Very ghetto. Expensive (more than local King Soopers or Target), long lines at checkouts (despite clear signs posted to open new registers if they have 2+ customers waiting), poor availability of items and very unhelpful workers. Cashier asked me if I found eveything ok, I said no, and his response was "Okay."...lol.

Waiting in line here again while they still dont have enough people to cover the registers. Who taught thus horrible manager to crew a store? For christ sake get a,new manager that instead of staring out his little window like a putts when there are 5 people in every line he will go run a register.

Maybe because I look younger than my age, the cashier completely ignored me. He greeted everyone else before and after me but me. And pointing instead of speaking like I did not know English. And the girl who ran the western union station was very rude. Seemed like she hated her job.

People are okay here. Just a few miles away, the people at the Havana store are friendlier, fresher produce. I stopped by the butcher here and no one was to be found. I had to settle for the packaged stuff. Its okay in a pinch, but Ill go elsewhere when I have the time.

Horrible customer service, store was dirty, only two lanes open with 5+ people in each lane blocking the aisles. Staff in express lane was was rude when I asked if i could pay for my one item just as he turned off his light (calling me sweety doesnt make you not rude).
