i came in on saturday to see if i could have my bottom bracket installed on my NEW track frame (which my local shop would have done on the spot). i ask is theyll do it, and their first response is "maybe by thursday". being considerate i ask if they could possibly have it done any sooner, to which they respond "well our mechanic is really busy" (and why get a job at a bike shop if you dont know how to work on bikes in the first place?!). then i proceed to look into the back of the shop where the mechanic is blatently doing absolutely nothing. he then proceeds to tell me that he might be able to have it done by tommorow, to which i say ok. i call them back the next day and ask if i can come in and pick up my bike, and this woman rudely tells me that it wont be done until monday or tuesday, to which i say ok. i then call back on tuesday (today) to check up on the status of my bike, and this man tells me it was finished the following day (which once again proves my point of the incompetent staff), to which i say ok. i then come in to pick it up, and i see that my BRAND NEW paint job is chipped and scratched and marked in numerous places, which i dont mention with considerate intentions. i am then charged $30.00 for a bottom bracket installation, you heard it, $30.00. are you serious? is that a joke? my local charges 10 and doesnt ruin my frame in the process. long story short, AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS.

Bought a GT Avalanche 2.0 disc and got a great deal on it. What got me sold is the free basic maintenance as long as I own the bike. I was skeptical on what type of service I would get on my first maintenance. Brought my bike in after 50 miles of MTB to have my rear wheel checked today. The bike mechanic took it and inspected it and tuned my bike within 30 minutes. This on top of the good customer service I get when I come often to buy and inquire on bike stuff. I came home and found that the lockout lever is missing on my fork. I just called and told them that its missing. They want me to come by tomorrow and they said theyll take the lever from another bike if they have it and theyll order a replacement; FREE of charge :) I dont know about the bad reviews and they may be legitimate. I am just happy that my experience have been really good so far! I like this place. Im here at least 3x a week. I highly recommend it.

The worst customer service!! Worst experience shopping ever! I browsed around for a few minutes as the staff looked busy, I waited it out and then a few minutes had turned to 30 minutes! I could tell that nobody wanted to help me (they didnt want to make eye contact or acknowledge my presence) Even if they were busy they could have at the least greeted me and said they will help me as soon as possible but that simply was not the case. I will never shop there ever, in fact I found a terrific place (Empire Bike Shop in Pasadena on Fairoaks/Peoria, they helped me as soon as I opened the door) the same day and got the bike of my dreams. The look of a shop is irrelevant it might be nice and all but what good is it if you get a terrible experience, customer service is key to a successful business, they need to prioritize their customers and future customers by providing the best experience possible.

No customer service, poor inventory and over priced. Without customer service, online shopping is better and cheaper. I went on a Saturday and the entire time we were there (three of us), no one bothered to say hi or notice us. We stopped by on our morning bike ride. We looked at bike shoes, clothes and even brushed up against an employee but apparently they only talk to potential bike buyers. Another customer came in and was shopping for shoes and I noticed the same treatment--no greeting, no offer of help, absolutely nothing. They werent busy at all either. Once another customer came in and started showing interest in buying a bike, they immediate came to talk to him and helped him. I am all for supporting local businesses but when the one key factor, customer service and human interaction, that sets them apart from online is not even present, its not worth it. Go buy online.

This was my fourth time in this branch. Fourth and last. Whilst looking at helmets a disinterested older man asked if I needed help. "Yes, what do you know about mips technology?" "Nothing and those are all the helmets we he." "You should look on line." he mumbled as he walked away. I was looking for a new mountain bike helmet, I was also looking to buy a $1200 to $1500 road bike. Thats fine, the bike, the helmet and the new shoes and pedals can all wait until next week when Im in San Rafael where we have a Performance Bike store with staff that actually care about cycling and there customers. Why even one star, well the smell of a bike store alone is worth that. Mark Eley

Its a busy shop -- because the staff give excellent advice, will send you elsewhere if they dont have what you need in stock rather than push something else on you (as they did for me when looking for a helmet), have a service department you can trust, and have happily honored the lifetime service commitment PB provides even though I bought my bike at a different store. (BTW, Ive had the same experience at PBs Santa Monica and Torrance stores.) Their service department is always going at full blast, so schedule your service ahead of time, if you can, then drop your bike the day before; they have always met their turn-around time commitments.

theyre being so friendly!! always!! i was live near the store and went there several times, they ONLY charge me ONCE for change a tube. even though i dont know much about bikes, they were patiently explaining and tried to analyze what the problems ive got and how to avoid it. they did all they can and after that, dont ask for pay like you necessarily have to in every other stores! they do their job like doctors being responsible and friendly to their patients. amazing professional attitudes and work ethics. pleasantly recommend. :)

AMAZING shop. Everyone working here speaks perfect English, didnt have to repeat myself when giving a tire size like EVERY other shop I called. Buy 3 tubes get 1 FREE. Open 7 days a week! When I arrived, instead of pointing me to where the tubes were, the associate walked over and fetched them himself! After trying Gabes bike shop (DONT GO HERE) and calling 3 other shops who didnt have my size or didnt pick up the phone, I drove an extra 4 miles to go to this store. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

The staff although they maybe great technically, are lousy at customer service. I was there and no one helped me. And when I asked to see a couple products behind the register , I was told that I would look at them and not buy anything. Well as it would turn out I did buy what was behind the counter. My point is the lady shouldnt be telling customers what they will end up doing . It made me feel so stupid. I should have just left but I hope the management replaces her because shes a liability not an asset.
