This outfit moved from a much larger store on Van Nuys Blvd to this small storefront location in 2008. Its no wonder they werent successful with more floor space, given the indifferent and clueless customer service they provide. I brought my Trek aluminum mountain bike to Europa for a tune up. The store is all of 25 x 35 feet or so, and I was the only customer there. I stood in front of the counter with my bike, and the older woman who appears to be the owner or manager sat behind the counter, carrying on an obviously personal conversation, avoiding even looking at me or acknowledging me. After 5 minutes or so, she hung up, and then proceeded to provide me with a very hurried and perfunctory presentation of their services. In spite of the underwhelming experience, I decided to leave my bike with them anyway. I returned to the store 4 days later to pick up my bike before the weekend as they promised. There was a handwritten note on the door stating the shop would be closed for a few days. I understand that the unexpected occurs, but I would have appreciated a phone call and/or an opportunity to pick up my bike before they closed - I guess that was too much effort for them. About a week later, as soon as I was able, I stopped in again to get my bike. Much to my surprise, it wasnt even done. The technician on duty had to spend another 15 minutes finishing up my bike while I waited. While there, I learned that customer bikes which are in their shop for service sit outside behind their store all day, because they dont have any indoor storage space. At night, they are brought into the tiny shop area. All in all, you can do much better than Europa when it comes to buying a new bike or having one serviced. This area of the SFV has many good bike shops, and I recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Ive been there twice. The first time just to chat about bikes and get a feel for who they were: all in all, I thought the lady was nice and Dennis was decent. I went in later to have a brand new bike tuned up and had to bring back the next day because they didnt tighten a bolt correctly and had the chain too tight ( i thought). He fixed the problems I had, but the customer service wasnt too wonderful. Theyve been in the business for over 30 years, but I think theyve lost the magic to deal with customers day in and day out. I need to buy some gear for my bike, but Im looking for somewhere else....

I called ahead and the woman on the phone was very friendly and clear. I then brought my 5 year old daughters bike in to make sure it was the right height and sturdy for a ride after we had put it together at home. Dennis tightened everything and added air to the tires and was very friendly. I watched them deal with other customers and they were friendly and clear about timing and what was in stock. I will most certainly bring my own bike in for a tune up.

Delightful awesome customer service, I was looking for a pair of tires and tubes for my bike, I found some on Target and Walmart and I ended up with two bearded tubes! I have tried some bicycle shops and none of them had the tire that I was looking for. finally, I found what I was looking for in Europa Bicycle Center, they had the good quality products and they even offered me free tire installation, absolutely recommend their services and products.

I brought 2 bicycles for cleaning and tuning. They did a good job but it cost me $160 in labor. No parts had to be replaced, just basic tuning and cleanup. Their web site advertises tuning as a $30 service. When I mentioned that they said it doesnt include cleaning. Whatever cleaning means, somehow they valued it to be additional $50 per bike.

It is great to have a local "family" bike shop and I hope you will give them your business. Just bought a mountain bike there and have my Dahon folding bike serviced there frequently. Dennis, Jessica and their tech are knowledgeable, honest and real. I am grateful and happy customer. Martin

I was very pleased with whole experience. They helped me pick the perfect bike for my size, and had it ready the next day as promised. I have had no problems so far with riding it. The bike builder did a great job asembling and tuning the bike for me.

Nice old guy and his wife behind the counter. Looks like theyve been here forever. Only 2 road bikes and the rest are city cruisers and mtbs in the whole store. Doesnt appear to be a serious pro shop.

Definitely not the best bike shop in LA, but an okay one. Very limited selection of parts, as well as bikes. Small shop.
