I Have come here a handful of times and each time I wanted to like it but every visit was worse and worse. I love the purpose to this petstore but the owners ruin it for me. First time I visited I was approached by a larger man whom I assume is the owner and started berating me with all these facts which was nice, except he was very VERY RUDE about doing it. He has no people skills whatsoever and has no idea how to talk to customers politely . I could not get in a word edgewise and godforbid you say anything that doesnt agree with what hes saying because then he acts like your stupid. After grabbing some dog food of which he recommended, I left quickly. Normally I would not go back to a place when owners act like that but I really liked the food so I tried again. This time I made sure I was quick about what I was grabbing. Upon walking in, I saw the owner but this time he was talking to what seemed to be like a worker. He talked to her like she had no brain cells. And WAS very rude. After seeing this and reading all of the reviews that say about the same thing, its safe to say I will not be shopping here again. I would rather drive an hour away then to deal with this disrespectful, know it all owner who seems to think that going to school for biology (and whatever else he names) AND NEVER FINISHED gives him enough right to talk to people like they know nothing. So save yourself the hassle and just go somewhere else. Or feed your animals raw, in which you can find multiple reputable places around!

On their facebook page I left a three star review, because the products and prices are pretty good, but the ownership is just bad. I explained my problem on the facebook page about how the woman owner was extremely rude to my fiance and 7 month old dog because she did not want to get her nails done. We rescued her from the humane society and she just gets so scared for her nails. Their employees are amazing! Always super polite and helpful. Their groomer, lighter skin with blonde hair, is amazing! She understands that she is funky with her nails and always handles her very well. But now after reading the responses from the other owner I now give them a one star. They are awfully rude and mean to everyone that has had a problem. Their other customers attack those that disagree with the shop and am pretty sure they are close friends (deborah lacisky). I always recommended this place, but never again. Not a way to handle a business. Very, very rude. In response to the owners RUDE reply. She is now 10 months old and I have had her since she was 2 months. Sorry that the groomers is by the bathroom so how is he supposed to avoid you?! Im writing again on here because your other customers continue to harass me for my bad review and I have also heard nothing from you. She is not aggressive in any way. She is just like any other dog that barks until they feel satisfied. One of the sweetest and most cuddley dog. I dont care what merits you have because clearly you arent executing them.

Yesterday was my second time taking my dog in for a grooming appointment. I was told it would take 2-3 hours. After 3 hours passed, I became worried about my dog. I arrived at the store to see what had been going on. I was informed that he had only been bathed... My boyfriend and I walked by and overheard a worker ask the groomer if she had a towel. The groomer responded that she "hadnt seen a towel in over 2 days." I then became alarmed that my dog had been sitting there for an extended period of time wet. Finally when he was brought out, I paid my 40 dollars, and walked out. When he was in the car he was not the same energetic dog I had dropped off. He seemed traumatized. When I got home I inspected his haircut and noticed a very large cut that had removed not only his fur, but his skin. He was showing obvious signs of pain. I called the groomer and she said she "was tired, because she had a long day, and forgot to mention it to me" I was furious. Causing a large, deep cut on an animal is not something someone just forgets. The only thing that was offered was a coupon on my next grooming appointment.. Safe to say, I turned down the offer and will not be returning. (Feel free to look at Yelp to see the picture)

Will not be going back! Sad because Ive been a customer since they were on the corner of Busch and 56th. Horrible experience! This is what manager wrote back to me " Frankly, its not worth it to lose a single customer trying to defend ourselves as I am doing right now.Thank You again for bringing it to my attention. Nick" Response from the owner a week ago I dont see why eliminating the basis for future conflict with a customer is bad. Nick Youre correct eliminating the basis for future conflict is bad ............BUT what about good customer service and professionalism. What about trying to work with that customer and point out that perhaps she was mistaken in her observations??? Your email response was rude!! Ranting about dog food and people not feeding a proper diet?????? I dont even own a dog!! My complaint or observation was not about dog food!? Im an animal lover!!! The majority of my friends are animal lovers and I simply cannot recommend shopping here any longer. Ive been a customer since this store was on Busch and 56th ST. Sad! Very sad!! I support small businesses too! Sorry not this one!

My husband and I took our two puppers (Lilith and Greyson) here for the first time today to get their nails cut. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by a young man who asked what services we needed and in just a few short seconds our baby girl was back with the groomer getting her nails done while my husband, son, other dog, and I looked around the store. They have a great assortment of dog toys and treats, especially if you have chewers like we do. When Lilith came back she was very happy so it must have been a pleasant experience for her. The groomer then took Greyson back. We walked around a bit with Lilith and she found a bowl of dog food which she promptly ate (so sorry!) When Greyson was done the groomer told us she wasnt able to do one nail because he was kicking too much. Im honestly surprised she was able to do even that much as the groomers at petsmart always tell us they cant handle him because hes such a baby about his nails. All in all it was a great experience. The staff were all very friendly to us and our dogs. We love supporting local businesses and will definitely be back!

I am new to the Temple Terrace area and was looking for a local pet store. I saw an advertisement for Pet Wize and decided to visit them. I can honestly say that I have NEVER received such AMAZING customer service. The owner was there and explained to me why they didnt carry the type of dog food that I was feeding our Golden Retriever. He explained it could give her fatty deposits which could turn cancerous. I couldnt believe it because our dog, Daisy, had surgery for that very thing and it was quite serious. He gave me another type of food to try, and it was the same one he feeds his dogs. I have never had any pet store employee feel that strongly about the food I was feeding my pet, let alone give me another food to try. After leaving the store I called my husband before I left the parking lot because I couldnt believe how awesome this man was. I actually contemplated hugging him because I was truly speechless. I have been to this store two more times and every visit is AMAZING. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I am officially a Pet Wize lover. THANK YOU for your helpful and caring ways.
