I picked up an online purchase from this brea location. I bought a piece of lattice then proceeded to the lumber department and asked for help/info to build a lightweight frame for it. He sent me all the way to the other end of the store to the garden department, told me to ask them for help. I took a quick look around not finding anything I need, then tried to exit from the outside area. I showed the old checkout lady my receipt. She began harassing me claiming it wasnt a receipt. So I went back inside & thought Id give it another try. I spent 3 hours in this store walking in circles looking for any sign of intelligence from any of their workers. At one point, I ended up in the hardware department. I tried to ask a question from 2 different workers (youngsters) in that aisle & was treated EXTREMELY badly. No respect! I got so angry, I left.

Ordered on-line for an in-store pick-up....Wow, this worked out great! Quick and Easy process, would definitely do this again to save on direct shipping to my home. I found an item on the HomeDepot website that was not available in store their stores....the order process was simple and at check out I was offered shipping to a local Home Depot for FREE, I could pick the Home Depot at any location of my choosing and was given a window of about 7-10 days out...An email and text to my phone arrived the next day to let me know it was ready for pick -up ...this worked out perfect....I was certainly impressed with the fast shipping and the very friendly staff at the Brea location. Thank you...Well Done!

At the Home Depot on Imperial around April of this year. I was looking to buy a "Reed Avocado tree", In the garden area I asked "Jill" if they had any Reed avocado trees? She said no, but I can order one for you if you would like. Jill quoted me the price (about $24) and I had her order one. A week later she called me to say her supplier didnt have any at that time but if I wanted she would keep trying. It took a couple of months, but she called yesterday to say that they were getting the trees in today if i still wanted one. After wanting one for years, I now have a Reed avocado tree, Thanks Jill, Thanks Home Depot PS They had about 10 to chose from. all about $24

Horrible communication, and they simply dont care - Needed to rent a truck, and was told on the phone that its first come first serve, no reservations. - Arrived at the store and see the truck in the parking lot, great! - But the store clerk told me somehow this truck was reserved by another person. Great, different policies for different people!? - If he doesnt show up in 10 minutes, then its mine. Waits 10 minutes, I went outside to get my insurance forms - Came back and the truck was already rented to a different person. What!?

Been here a couple times in search for different things for the house. Each time I found what I was looking for and the staff were more than willing to help me locate what I needed. They offer different DIY building projects for kids on certain Saturdays. A couple of months back there were kids making birds nests with their parents, which is an awesome service for them to have. Parking is convenient and no hassle, and they carry just about everything you would ever need from a home improvement store.

Lazy staff, argumentative manager. Came in to replace a Husky tool. Took over 30 minutes as they could not locate the item number and claimed they couldnt replace the tool. Had to call 888-HD-HUSKY to resolve the issue. The manager even fought with the phone representative but she told him he remedy the issue or she was going to contact the district manager. When you ask staff where an item is located, they tell you a isle number. They used to walk you there! Lazyness!!!

They advetise electronics recycling c/o L.A. kids chamber of commerce. So my guy and me drop off three wireless printers and we were told that we had to pay $5 per printer. A bad way to operate and one person to recieve every thing. I paid the fee and left. I wont turn in any future recyclables to your store if the l.a. chamber of commerce cant do any better than I found today. :-(

Customer service is very poor in this location. Several times Ive asked for help finding something and been given an aisle number and a general vicinity of the product, but have been unable to find said item despite following associates directions. I also waited for almost twenty minutes for someone to cut a piece of wood to size for me.

" Special ordering is is a waste if time and money". I went to buy a refrigerator and a wrong fridge was delivered. I had to buy another one in order for home depot to pick up the wrong one and deliver the item I wanted in first place. All of this while I waited for availability and reimburse for the wrong fridge delivered.

Every time Ive been there the staff has been helpful. If they dont know where an item is theyll help you find it or get someone who can. Personally I use the mobile site when the staff isnt close by and that gets me to what I need. Their prices are reflective of mainstream retail and comparable with a quick Amazon search.

This review is only for the lumber area. They need to clean up the lumber bins. I was looking for the higher end redwood 2x4. Nope, that bin was full of all other kinds of lumber. Very disappointing for me because I had to drive from the Placentia location because they had the same issue.

People arent helpful and they are hard to find. Store doesnt really have much when it comes to construction specialties. It seems like a mommy want to hire someone to redo the kitchen, and daddy the accountant wants to replace a light bulb kinda store.

Ive been a huge home depot consumer for many year but never been treated this bad at this location. At the return desk 2 guys and a women were just horrible. Almost seemed like they didnt want to help. Bad service at the returns!!

Every Associate at Brea Home Depot greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed help. Kale and Shawn was in hardware were OUTSTANDING! Especially when compared to Goleta Home Depot customers are virtually invisible.

I love Home Depot... I am far from a DIY person, but I still love to just wander the isles and look at all of the cool stuff. I have done some smaller projects and the sales people have been very helpful.

Almost always or of stock. Their shelves are disorganized and some (not all) of the staff is lazy and clueless. If your a contractor dont waste your time here. Go to La Habra instead.

Manager noticed i wasnt using "self check-out" .. that i was waiting in line w/ a very full cart -she quickly recruited a self-check checker to scan all my items :)
