Not overall happy with Home Depot right now. Beyond just the fact they take business away from small, independently owned retailers like local plumbing supply and hardware stores, they are unprofessional and selfish. They give off an air of corporate sterile-ness.This opinion stems from the fact that during a recent trip to their La Habra store, I stepped on two nails sticking up through a pallet of water softener salt which went through my shoe and right into the end of my foot. When I went to an employee about it in the garden section, she honestly acted like it was no big deal. Said "she would let someone know about it." in the most passive tone Ive ever experienced. Barely acted apologetic. Not happy with this response, I went found another employee (who was busy helping another customer) and let him know about it. He acted a little more concerned, said he was sorry about it, which was good, but no efforts were made to ensure that my safety was in tact - like offering something from a first-aid kit, or taking down my name just in case It flared up and got infected or something. Had the nail been rusty, I could have needed a tetanus shot, it was zinc coated instead, so the puncture wound hurt pretty bad and made my entire leg sore for the rest of the day. The icing on the cake was that I was .5 cents short at the cash register, and the entitled, uninformed, lady in the garden section said "Ill give it to you, but you owe me 5 cents!" LADY, I do not owe you ANYTHING. I just stepped on a nail in your disorganized, stupid, store and got hurt. I was NICE enough to tell you about the nail, and you want to argue with me over 5 cents? You can politely go screw yourself! Freaking corporate jerks. Home Depot, when someone hurts themselves in your stores because of your own carelessness, you MUST ensure that the person isnt bleeding, hurt, and I was honestly expecting much more professionalism and care out of a corporation who makes millions of dollars (unfairly IMO). The first lady I talked to should have walked back to view the nails herself, and pounded them down with a hammer or placed something on them so they wouldnt poke through anyone elses foot.

Home Depot, La Habra, Takes the "ugh" out of every project, mishap...I like going there...even if my purchase means I have work to do when I get home. Honestly, In all of my La Habra Store experiences (possibly 75-100, I hate to think!), every single experience has been positively pleasurable. I have a lot less help when I get my purchase home. (Sorry, Hun.) Seriously, no matter what I need: from power tools to plumbing, mulch to mailboxes, curtain rods to concrete... there is always someone to help. And, if a sales rep more knowledgable in that particular department is necessary to consult to make the right choice, that person is a radio request and usually less than 1 minute away. Re: Customer Service Desk: Fantastic, Re: Exchanges: Great Re: Cashiers: Friendly & efficient Re; Self-Checkout: No hassle. Even if things do not go well, assistance is immediate. I cannot think of a place I would rather shop, especially for my DIY needs. I highly recommend.

Dont deal with them , when it comes to carpet installation. They are contracted with carpet pros!!! one of the worst companies you can deal with, they are unprofessional and unreliable , they play nice until they get your business, they did a crappy job on our stairs, though they charged a lot for installation claiming they are custom stairs!!! Johnny was totally unprofessional, he did a sloppy job, also broke, chipped and cracked the baseboard for the stairs!!when we complained, they sent someone very professional to fix the carpet. We have been playing games for over a week requesting sending someone to fix the baseboard, called and spoke to 4 different people , nothing was done, even Hector the manager !!!, they deserve a minus !! complained to home depot la habra , nothing was done!!! Will contact their corporate office and my next step will be issuing a complain with the better business bureau. Dont deal with them !!

Absolutly awful. 2 people at customer service desk i ask for 1 specific item they tell me the aisle #31. i get to said aisle and nowhere found is item i needed. Asked another associate he said aisle #21, again i go on by myself and wrong aisle. Ask another associate who turns me to someone in hardware and he then tells me the item im looking for they have but not in plastic like i needed.. only metal. I then ask if i can use the metal hardware for my dresser drawer he said they dont carry the hardware only the glider... 45 mins wasted just becausw the associates are stupid and lazy. They dont even speak to you just give you aisle numbers and walk away

I came here to get some wood cut and all of the cuts were crooked. I ending up having to fix all the cuts later on making all my pieces shorter than I wanted them. *Update* After complaining about the quality of the cuts I received, the assistant store manager contacted me and was able to resolve my issue and said they would service their saws. Their customer service definitely went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of.

We had a minor cleaning job needed at house pre-holiday gathering. The Rental department is located on the west side (closest to Harbor Blvd). Compact size rental machine and instructions on use were clear. Bob wheeled the unit out to my car and loaded it in the trunk. Thank you! Busy store and the garden department has lots of daisies just waiting to be planted. Great store, employees and service at this location.

Everytime I have been here, we have been helped with great care and everyone was so nice. Even my mom who speaks little English was able to shop here. And we recently had bunch of items to return on multiple receipts but this girl has been so patient and got us all our money back. Great great service and even better staffs. They made me shopper of home depot!

pretty nice home Depot. this location seems less chaotic than the one on gale Ave. parking is really easy and the store is easy to navigate. I often buy my led lights and pest repellent here and its a very painless experience. the self checkout is awesome
