This hardware and plant store is the bomb! My husband and I run into this place all the time to pick up any pieces that we need for repairs around the home. If Im what I exactly need to make the repair there is always someone quickly ready to help me figure it out. I was always wasting so much of my time and money trying to find those same things at Lowes or Home Depot with no one willing to help me, and if someone helps you they have no clue what theyre talking about! Those days are over! The garden goddess they have in their garden center is a wealth of knowledge! If you bring her a pictures of your sick or unhappy plant or cactus she will explain the proper soil, watering, and fertilizer you need to keep everything in bloom!

Its wonderful to have a local hardware store in our neighborhood. Its not a huge store so we have to go to a larger home goods store for items, but when we can get things here, we do. I bought plants here many years ago and they promptly died so I dont use the nursery dept any more (although admittedly it could have improved since then, also I did not ask for a refund so can not attest to how that would have been handled), they have a decent sized paint dept and that is what I use more than anything else. I also love that they hire local teens.

The customer service at this ACE store is amazing. I thought I would need to special order some KERR canning supplies because I was looking for jars that had special sizes, and they called me back to tell me they already had them in stock! I was so pleased and ran right up there and got them that same day. Ordering on-line from KERR would have been very costly. So I saved a bundle and didnt have to go far to find what I wanted. I love having this ACE store right here in Awhatukee Foothills!

I have been to this Ace mutiple times, but never have I had good service. And by good service, I mean any service at all. I went a few times hoping to buy paint, but no one offered to help even though I stood waiting by the counter for quite a while. I dont need to be accosted by five employees everytime I enter a store, but you would think someone would offer to help mix paint.

Perfect if you need something in Ahwatukee and dont want the 20 minute round trip to Lowes and Home Depot out on/near Ray and the 10. Not the cheapest, not the best stocked, but it does its purpose, and the staff is knowledgeable, generally more so than the big guys. Time is money and you can save time staying the Foothills area.

November 2014, Great customer service! A clerk spent 15" searching for a special replacement screw for my sundial. Great nursery with exceptional nursery stock. Cindy is so helpful and knowledgeable. She ordered a plant for me!!!!! Free, fresh popcorn too!!!
