The Towson Store is A First-Class, Customer-Driven Organization We’ve never had a bad experience in twenty years of buying from Gardiners, but you don’t really know the depth of a business’s dedication to your satisfaction until you have a problem. That’s when you find out what they’re really all about and I can testify that Gardiners in Towson bent over backwards to turn a negative into a positive and I’m more than pleased—I’m actually grateful. The mistake that was made turned out to be on my part, yet they still worked with me until we were delighted. You just don’t experience service and commitment at this level buying popularly-priced furniture elsewhere. The living room set we bought looked very different in our home than it did in their showroom and I was certain they’d given us the wrong color. Turns out they were right and I was wrong. But I didn’t have to convince them to help me or threaten them—they WANT to do the right thing. We were handled with kindness and there was never a doubt that we’d leave there happy. Seriously, someone brought us bottled water while we were doing the paperwork on our exchange. I know it’s not my place to negate other feedback that isn’t as favorable, but we were just there, May 24, 2014, and I have no reservations giving this long-established and local organization my highest rating. The selection is expansive and the sales staff is helpful but not pushy. The hit all the right notes. Kim DeDeo, the store manager, is as professional and classy as they come. Even though the store was packed with customers (this store is thriving. Any suggestion to the contrary is just mean-spirited) she still made time to handle our situation personally, and gave us her complete attention even though there were other demands on her time. She even helped load our van. Who does that anymore? Gardiners in Towson is well located, has its own parking lot and doesn’t take a half a day to walk through. You won’t get sensory overload and the size feels just about right. Judging by the other 5 star reviews, we’re not the only ones to have had this kind of experience.

First and foremost, I would like to thank the Gardiners team as a whole. My girlfriend and I just purchased a new home together and we searched high and low for the best deal in quality furniture for our money, after looking at nearly every furniture store in MD; all roads lead to Gardiners. From the second we walked into the store we were greeted by a sales team egger and ready to assist us. I for one am usually objective to getting help to soon as many sales reps put the stereotypical purchasing pressure the second following their hello, but not at Gardiners they were courteous and helpful and truly catered to our visions and thoughts and not once did we feel pressured into buying one single item. It was quite a relief to hear a salesperson ask a question like; "any specific style you are trying to achieve?" and offering helpful hints in getting the cozy yet modern feel my girlfriend and I were after. The sales team was so helpful and a huge part of why we chose the furniture we did. Just 1 week past our purchase we accepted our delivery at home; the delivery team was kind and respectful of our property and as they assembled and set our furniture, they even walked us through items such as our dinner room table leaf, how to set it up and break it back down and small suggestions like where to stand which make it easier to do! We both could not be happier with our choice in Gardiner’s furniture and their services from sales to delivery have locked in two customers for life! Thanks again Gardiners team! You helped make our first house a home.

I have no complaints about the salespeople working with the store. The funiture is gorgeous and was at a good price. But, we ordered a table and chairs in March and were missing a hardware set for one of the chairs. Called in as soon as we realized and were told an order had been placed for the missing hardware set and they would call us when it arrived. 8 weeks later, hadnt received a phone call so I called to check up. They still hadnt received it. Another 6 weeks later I called again and was told they were accidentally sent an entire new chair and hardware set, so they returned it. Why they couldnt have just separated the two and given us the set??? Who knows... Another 8 weeks later I called and they didnt have the set. So, it is now 7 months after the original purchase and we have never been contacted saying they ever received a new hardware set. Good luck if you are missing pieces. Make sure you check every single package when you pick it up to make sure something isnt missing.

I was so excited to purchase my first couch..now 3 years later I am ready to throw that piece of garbage out. I purchased the couch in 2/2011 and its falling apart 3 years later. The couch is in the family room and is not the main couch. There are staples poking out thru the fabric causing holes all over the couch and ruining the seat cushions (now i cant flip them over). I spoke with Domine, the customer service rep who was NO help whatsoever. She stated that something I did caused the staples to pop out and it was my fault and they will not do anything to fix or repair it. I also bought the warranty that will cover feces stains, blood stains, and food spill on the couch...but wont cover this. You are better off taking the money you would have spent here and going to Ikea. You will have much better service a better product, and no greasy sales people encouraging you to buy a piece of trash.

NEVER, EVER, get stuck doing business with these crooks! We were great customers to gardiners for many yrs, until all of the sudden they closed our account?? with no notice, and after always paying on time, well beyond the minimum payment required and after just getting a in-store increase in credit line! Please listen to us we were the victims dont let yourselves become victims. My wife and I both took neg. credit hits on our impeccable reports with no explanation as to why, they do not stand by their fake financing deals either, no tax, no interest etc.. all lies. we are taking them to court to try and fix this mess they made. If you are looking for new furniture please.... buy somewhere else and save yourself the headache & heartache! trust me if i need to I can prove what I say I have the documents, billing statements, etc.. STAY AWAY!!!!!

We ordered a loveseat and 10 weeks later we got a call advising the product was in and to schedule delivery 2 weeks later. The day before delivery the loveseat was nowhere to be found in the warehouse and the store would have to wait 5 more days for warehouse to locate it. Gardiners calls back to advise they located the furniture and to schedule another delivery in 2 weeks. The day before delivery the store could not tell us at all when delivery would take place. The delivery ended up arriving in the middle of the day and not a single person from the store cared to follow-up with us after all of our issues. The employees are friendly, but there is a systematic issue with management and the way inventory and delivery is handled. They provide political answers and not once did we trust the information they were providing.
