I have never seen such lying, rude, unprofessional people in my entire life. I contacted havertys concerning my dining room bench, because it had become discolored after cleaning it with plain water. They sent out a so called fabric expert to assess the bench, at which time he notated what he had seen and assured me that havertys would be contacting me within 48 hrs. 72 hrs later I made a trip to the store and spoke with a manager. She refused to take responsibility for Havertys selling me a defected product; and directed me to reach out to Guardsmen. So, I immediately contacted a Guardsmen representative. The representative was professional. He explained some of the process to me, and he emailed me the paperwork that was necessary to move forward in the claim process. During our conversation he stated that the bench should be covered by the 1 year manufactures warranty and to contact havertys to verify this. He also stated that if it was discovered that the bench wasnt coveref to compete the claim form. I contacted havertys service department and explained to them what was conveyed to me from the guardsmen representative, verbatim. They literary turned my words around. The havertys representative said he would be contacting Guardsman to inquire às to why they refused my claim. I immediately reminded him that I had never, ever, stated that Guardsmen refused my claim. His response to me was that he did not care, and that he and his supervisor would be contacting Guardsman and holding them accountable for refusing my claim. I could not believe what I was hearing! The bottom line is this, havertys sells their customers on a hassle free return policy and the customer comes first approach... Do not believe anything they tell you. You are not important to them! Their entire process is built on lies.

Purchased a Beautyrest Black mattress. Saleswoman, Sheila Barski, seemed inexperienced but gave her the time since she kept consulting with the manager on the warranty info, promotion info, etc. Told us multiple times Havertys provides a 3 day guarantee to test the mattress before enforcing a 15% restocking fee. Made the mistake of trusting her. After 2 days the mattress did not relieve back and hip issues so made the call prior to the 3rd day. Elsie Connick, branch manager, informed that Havertys does not have a "3 day trial period and would charge a restocking fee. Connick, the "mattress expert" tried to convince us to keep the mattress for 30 days (non-refundable) and that at "our age [mid 30s] we should not be experiencing hip issues with the mattress." Complained about Sheila misinforming us but there was nothing she could do since we had the opportunity to review the agreement...but that she would take the time to retrain her. Great. Did not hesitate to pay the restocking fee and write it off as a lesson learned. It must be a requirement to have used car salesmen experience to work there because thats what the process is like. Weve made several purchases in the past...NEVER will we step foot in the store AGAIN.

Ordered material and pillow to match my sofa I purchased 3 months ago. Was told it would take about 4 to 5 weeks for this. The material came into warehouse but not the pillow. I wanted to wait and pick them both up at the same time. I kept checking each week and was told the pillow wasnt there. Finally I called the person who sold me the merchandise and she said my pillow had been there . I know mistakes happens but this could have been avoided had someone not neglected to do their job. The customer service department were not helpful. I will not do business with Havertys again.

We went in initially to look at their sectional sofas. While we didnt find anything that suited our needs, we did find an area rug that my wife liked. But you apparently cant just pay for something and leave. They want you to register all of your information...to buy a $180 rug. Id swiped my card and nothing more for a $2000 tv at Best Buy days earlier, and did the same for $1500 in tools and appliances at Lowes the month before that. But Havertys "policy" requires you to allow them to spam your phone, email, and mailbox with junk if you want to buy their product.

Customer service is terrible and warranties are no good. I bought a icomfort matteres (DO NOT BUY an ICOMFORT MATTRESS!!!) And within 2 years is has depressions in the foam that are an 1 and a 1/4" deep. Havertys costumer service will not warranty the mattress out! The manufacture of the mattress has a 3/4" sagging guarantee to exchange the mattress and Havertys will not honor it! I use to buy all my furniture from them but I will not be a customer any longer. They think if they ignore you and dont call you back that you will just go away.

We were told 8-12 weeks for our couches to come in. At 8 weeks I started calling, but the customer service people have NO idea and didnt really care that they were incompetent. They gave us several dates that turned out to be a lie. At 14 weeks they finally arrived. I bumped up from 1 star to 2 because they gave us a discount for the delay. Still a very frustrating experience from a store I considered to be on the higher end of furniture quality. You expect more when you pay more, and they didnt deliver. I wont be shopping here again.

I spent $1400 on a couch paid extra for the 5 year warranty and after 7 months the couch has sagged and is discolored. There staff are like used cars salesman told me a bunch of BS and about how great the warranty is now are couch looks awful and there Nothing they can do they say. I would never buy anything from them again big waste of money. What should be covered by warranty they say now we have to pay for. Dont fall for there sweet talking lies they care nothing about there customer service just there day to day sales.

Havertys is an upper-scale furniture store with quality furniture. I bought the Sorrento Power sofa and it is a fantastic sofa with excellent quality. It weighs 100 pound more than a similar one at Value City Furniture, indicating better and more frame construction. The delivery was the best that I have ever had for a piece of furniture. They delivery men took my sofa up three stories in a narrow staircase without a scratch to the sofa or the house. I will definitely buy from Havertys again.

Horrible customer service! Took over 8 weeks to get our sofa. They wanted $300 to deliver our furniture. Lowes and Best Buy offer free delivery which should be standard with the amount of money you spend there. They offer no military discount. Very over priced and terrible customer service. We havent even gotten our sofa yet and Im already unhappy with the entire experience. Not shopping here again!

Horrible quality! We purchased a coffee table, end table and executive desk from Havertys 4 years ago. The coffee table and end table chopped horribly. I ended up sanding it and painting. The drawerer pulls on the desk have been falling off. The desk is now showing original wood where the stain has worn and chipped. I will never spend money at this store again.
