I stop at this Ace a few times a month for our small business - light bulbs, key copies, trim for making chair rails, all those little hardware things that add up. Without fail the employees and management are customer service-oriented, eager to help and have a sense of humor. I almost feel like I am back in Kansas when I go in there - very neighborly vibe. Back to the chair rails... Our clinic exam rooms are getting beat up so a suggestion was made that we put in chair rails. Apparently it is wood trim you put up so that when chairs knock into the walls damage is limited. Who knew? I was crabby when I went in and smiling when I went out. The manager walked me around the store, helping me pick out the right paint (flat black holds up longer than gloss or semi-gloss), right size roller, and even black nails so I wouldnt have to touch up after putting the rails in. Last touch a jig saw so my corners would look good. Even demonstated how to use it. All in all very inexpensive and very quick at getting me in and out (whole thing took 7 or 8 minutes from entering to leaving). I am a female who is comfortable with digging in (I change our air conditioning filters on our roof), but am not very experienced at handywork. Ace makes it easy so I am sure I will be doing more and more with their help! Thanks, Ace!

Although the employees are super friendly, i had a terrible experience this time. I usually only come in for key copies but this time i came in for my new puppys ID tag. I was super excited because i was trying to save money and its my first puppy. they were $10 cheaper here than at petco/petsmart but after i picked one out, they told me the engraver wasnt working(the machine is very small and old looking). But this was understandable, so i put it on hold until its fixed. A month went by and I got no call back (left them my information) so i decided i had to call them. They let me know that it still wasnt working and that they addressed the problem to the manager/owner a few times but didnt do anything about it. So i told them i would be coming in the next day to purchase it without the engraving. When I got there, the engraver was working when the other day they just said it wasnt. At the register my total was $11.02 and i asked for some type of discount because of the month-long wait and she said she can only give me 10% which brought it down to $10. The ID was originally $10 so its like i paid for it without tax. Last time i came in, my friend gave me like 50% off because she knew me. Very disappointed of how long it took and the communication.

I came into the store for the first time and was greeted by a group friendly staff. I was just peeking in the aisles trying to find the right tools and a staff member asked if I needed help. He got me to the right place, gave a few recommendations and was patient. Also, the cashier was very friendly and helpful. She scanned the set of tools I purchased under a current coupon. Great Experience!

0 customer service! Spoke to a grumpy old man on the phone who told me they had the glass I needed for $70.00. I told him I was on my way and he hung up. When I got there they said they werent cutting glass and to come back on Monday! HA! I just told these people I was on my way. The rude old man claimed that he told me Monday over the phone!? What a joke!

I have gone to this store for several out of the ordinary projects as well as common ones and they have always had the answers. Good group of people with lots of real world experience. A little more than the big box stores but the service more than makes up for it.
