I rarely go here but when I do come here, I get this feeling of hate when I walk in and over to the fish section and usually Im looking for fish accessories and fish care. One time if I can remember, this guy who was a worker, literally told my brother and I to go home, basically kicking us out the store, in a very harsh tone and also told us to go clean our tank with a gravel vacuum. Now I was beginner at this time and I had an idea of what a gravel vaccum does, so I asked, "What does it exactly do?" Rather than giving me a professional answer, he said "It sucks up your gravel and thats it." If I remember, he said he was a "fish owner professional," I didnt take his word for it. Lucky for me, I used YouTube to help me out with what a gravel vaccums purpose was and watched some walkthroughs. When I returned back to the store, I went back into the fish section to go buy a goldfish. As soon as I had it figured out of what goldfish I wanted, the man came back. I told him "I would like to get this goldfish." He said "I have to have a parent in order to get a fish," but I already told him I was 18. Now this was the funny part, he said "he didnt care how old I was, and told me to come back when I had a parent with me." Talk about rude right? At least Animarts employees are better than this garbage.

At Petsmart EAST, Madsion-My 10.5 month old labradoodle suffered traumatic asphyxiation on May 17, 2015 and as a result suffered from bilateral subconjunctival hemorrhages at the hands of the dog groomer "Monique." I was not informed of the event from the groomer or the manager. I observed it in my dogs eyes through the night, and then after a vet visit in the morning, returned to the store to confront staff. The whites of her eyes were dark red, but thankfully her retinas and pressures were fine. They all looked down, when I walked in the door with my dog, so obviously, they knew. The young groomer could have been charged with animal abuse. I guess their dryers are very hot and fast and our dog was scared. Very upsetting and disturbing that anyone would think this was appropriate behavior to inflict on a dog, or any life form. This was my third grooming visit to the store and there were no problems in the past. Will not be returning EVER, under any circumstances. Our dog could have ended up blind or dead. Very, very sad situation. Our vet had never seen anything like it before. As the owners we have never asked for a certain haircut, we just wanted our dog healthy and clean. Very, very disappointed and sad about this situation.

Ive bought my dogs food here since we got him, for almost 2 years. When he was 6 months he started having digestive issues so hes been on prescription food for a year and a half. Ive bought his food here because its the same as the vet but a little cheaper. Today they told me I cant buy it without a prescription. I have never once had a prescription with me when I bought his food in almost 2 years of buying it. My dog has no food, he had his last bowl this morning, because I JUST got in from out of town. And its a Sunday so I cant even call his vet for the prescription. They wanted me to be bring him back and see their clinic for a prescription. So theyre basically just trying to make the store money. If it is a policy thats been in place a long time theyve just started to enforce it. Either way I hope the manager can live with my dog not eating tonight because of her, any other food makes him sick which is why he has the prescription food.

I went to petsmart east to buy some fish and a man working there, named vinnie, rudely told me that he wasnt going to sell me fish because my tank hadnt been up for 4 months. I went to find another pet care employee and she got me my fish, but this guy kept hanging around and watching me. That night one of the fish I bought died and I went in to return it and got told that they werent going to uphold their 14 day pet guarantee because Vinnie told them I didnt deserve it. So I called up petsmart West and got told that they would refund my fish and that denying someone their 14 day guarantee is against policy. Dont shop at east side petsmart. Ive never had a good experience there. Vinnie even yelled at my child for wanting to look at the birds, because apparently it you arent buying a pet, you cant even watch them play around in their cage. Go to the West side. The employees are so much nicer and actually enjoy working with customers.

I am an experienced reptile owner, having been in the hobby since the late 1960s. One of the employees in the reptile department, who was younger than the number of years I have been raising reptiles, refused to sell me some baby leopard geckos to add to my existing colony on the grounds that I did not have adequate housing . I walked out of that store vowing to never step foot in there again. I sent a detailed letter to the corporate headquarters explaining why I would never shop at one of their stores again and to take me off of all mailing lists, etc. No response for about a year and a half until I got an email saying they missed me and have a coupon good toward my next visit. Apparently the profound stupidity and poor customer service culture trickles down throughout all of the corporate levels of this organization. Unfortunately 1 is the lowest score I can give them.

Customer service is very rude and overpriced. I was interested in adopting one of the ball pythons and an employee came and told us all this wrong information about them, saying "Theyll eat your cat and will need an 8ft cage. They get about 5 to 6 ft and are very thick" I knew every word she said was wrong and the opposite for I had done extensive research. So instead I bought one at a reptile expo. On another day i went to go in to buy a medium rat frozen for my snake. Just one. And it was $11!! For one rat. Thats ridiculous. I never bought them from this store again so now I buy them from a feeder breeder in which i can get 5 rats for $10. Recently, I went in to the store almost before closing time, the doors were open and customers walking around. Then an employee yelled across the store to say "Were closed". If you dont want my money fine.then.

Went there 3times and I must say all 3 times there employees were rude & short with me. Kylie was the name of one of the workers when I purchase almost $100 worth of items for my puppy that was yesterday today and went back there and was about to spend another hundred dollars first of all I was shorted and I was about to check out he said my coupon was no longer valid that wasnt the problem it was the way that I was treated my 11-year-old even told me that the employees are very short unprofessional & not friendly! I walked out and did not make the hundred dollar purchase and I dont believe that store deserves my hard earned money I will never go there again it is the worst store I have ever been and as far as them treating people badly on top of that the prices are out rages very disappointed
