I guess its true that people are mainly driven to write reviews when they have a bad experience, because my experience at Capitol Loans has done just that. So, this was the first time I have ever pawned something, but I was in a tight spot and needed cash quick. I brought in my 64gb iPad 2 3G, PS3 w/ move and controllers, Xbox kinetic and Jawbone Jambox. Calling the shop beforehand informed me that the most I would get for my iPad was $250 tops. I was okay with that, and came prepared with more goods to pawn to hit the number I needed. When the guy started pricing everything out, he was only able to give me another $200 for everything else, and that was with "special bulk pricing" and an additional $20 that he threw on at the end. I was cool with it cause i got the money i needed, but It seemed like a major lowball considering going prices on eBay and Craigslist. Next comes me paying off the loan and picking up my gear. First, it took the guy about five minutes to find it. Lost? Misplaced? I brought my stuff in loose, and they had put it in a box, which was nice. I started pulling everything out, and the first thing I noticed was one of the rubber feet missing on my PS3. I pointed it out and they grabbed a foot off of someone elses Playstation... Mine was fixed, so I didnt think about it. Heres my big problem. I had packed my iPad in its original box that had no marks or dents when I brought it to Capitol Loans, and the first thing I noticed was one of the corners of the box was crushed, and there were marks and scratches all over the box. Thought it was weird, and took the top off the box. My iPad was on and open to the home screen. Again, didnt think anything of it, but the last thing I did when I handed it over was turn it off by holding the top button down, then sliding the power down slider. I started to look it over, and thought I saw a scratch on the screen. I held it up at an angle to see it better, and the thing was covered in fingerprints and smudges. Not damage, but the iPad was completely wiped down with microfiber right before it went in the box. Again, ignored it, and wiped it down. This showed the scratches. My iPad had no scratches on it when I brought it in. I brought this up to the guy that had been helping me, and he just kinda looked at me and shrugged, said they didnt do it or something like that. Immediately a man with a shaved head, Im assuming the owner or manager, hopped over and said something along the lines of, we dont touch your stuff after its brought in. We put it in a box, it goes on a shelf until you pick it up. There is no way we did this. without missing a beat, he gets on the computer and says hes blocking me from the system since their service wasnt satisfactory... In other words, you have a complaint, and instead of figuring it out, Im going to bar you from doing business with us. Are you kidding me? How was my iPad on and open in the box? Why was it covered in fingerprints? Why is the box damaged? He went on to say if I could prove it wasnt scratched when I brought it in, if I could prove that someone used it since I brought it in, if I could prove blah blah blah... Telling someone to prove it is a guilty statement to me. He was even laughing at the fact that I was so upset... BS. So, I left furious for both having my iPad damaged and used, and even more so because of how I was treated. Capitol Loans was easy to work with when I got my loan setup, hence the one star, but please document the condition of everything you bring in, because if something happens against you, dont expect any help from these guys. By the way, I still have an Xbox there, so I will write a follow-up review based on how that interaction goes.

Got my bike here (LOVE IT) and check in occasionally to see what they have. Ive noticed that most of the instruments and power tools take a long time to be sold, so if you want to pawn something Id go with that. (Dont ask about the moped out front though, its for employees. :( ) The team is awesome and really open to letting you tall with them to see if they have anything in stock youd like. No bullshit or trying to get you to buy something that isnt what you want from my experience, which is nice. Their VHS and DVD collection is overpriced in my opinion, especially since there are a ton of thrift stores in the area with better selection. Some of the video games are $5-$10 below the price of getting it new. Id check the cartridges to see if its potentially worth inheriting old game use (Im looking at you, Pokémon games!) or investing in a new one.

I have never written a review on google before, but these guys made me want to get on here an write a review after coming to the store a few times. By far the fairest and friendliest pawn shop i have ever been too. They are not looking to get over on you but in fact give you the best price they can whether you are looking to pawn, sell, or buy. I have lived in 5 major US cities and having been to pawn shops in each of them, I can tell you that they are a one of a kind shop and disprove any negative stereotypes associate with pawn shops. I was pleasantly surprised by how willing they were to help when i needed some financial assistance after dealing with an unfortunate scam from movers and being new to the city. If you are looking for a pawn shop in the Seattle area, dont waste your time anywhere else, this is the only place to go.

Completely absurd..... If Micky answers the phone ask to speak with someone more competent. Also, if you want to buy a gun and use them as your FFL Dealer youll need: WASHINGTON DRIVERS LICENSE OR ID AND A COPY OF YOUR POWER BILL FROM PSE. Do not let them(Micky) tell you that your out of state ID will work...youll show up and be turned away from the same guy who said that form of ID would work. Ill never....NEVER use them again nor will I send business there way. I felt more like they were trying to steal from me than actually help me. Took me an entire week of being given incorrect information to receive my weapon.

Got there fishing for a used guitar because I had seen some of their posts on Craigslist. Their prices are surprisingly low and reasonable and the guys quite kind and helpful. I walked out the store with a fantastic Fender Strat under CL used, Reverb, GuitarCenter Used and Ebays price, and most of their guitars were priced this way. Guitar is in excellent almost unplayed condition and I also got a 25% discount in a pedal I purchased the same day (which was already reasonably priced). That is good business, I will be back for more. Thank you so much you guys!

Went in for a FFL transfer. Low fee, convenient location, staff were friendly and knowledgeable and didnt mind the ridiculous hold time while the illuminati consulted the lizard-men about whether I could have my tokarev. Nifty place. On another note it seems like all of the people that leave negative reviews are bums who didnt get thousands of dollars for their janky stolen merchandise, so thats another point in their favor. Dont do drugs, kids.
