I was there today, I usually do my food shopping at stop & shop in Franklin lakes but decided to try shop rite again.. (I try and stay away cause its always crowded).. I was disappointed with the lady at the checkout (Vivian) she greets me with "this is 10 items or less" ( there was no one in her lane & she didnt have a sign stating it was 10 or less).. Then I tell her I dont have my card can I give her my phone # for the card lookup up.. She rudley told me to punch it in myself.. (As I was trying to load all my purchases on to the belt and I had my toddler with me who was eager to leave).. Very disappointed with their customer service.

My family has always shopped at Shop Rite so since moving to Pompton Lakes it was the logical choice to shop at the one in Oakland. I have to say the parking lot is a bit of a mess and the entrance and exit is a bit of a pain, but otherwise thats the only complaint I have. The selection meets my familys needs and the layout is bad or confusing at all. Like most Shop Rites they let you shop online and they even have helpers outside to help you load up your car if need be. Overall this Shop Rite provides a great and easy shopping experience and I recommend it to anyone that lives in the area.

Very unhappy with your digital system. I never got connected to this system and after almost one hour of going to customer service, (where they themselves could not connect) and then speaking to another ShopRite employee, then leaving the items in the store (did not buy them). Upon leaving the store I spoke with an assistant manager who said he will notify corporate office. This is an ongoing problem with your digital coupons. Please let me know when this is fixed. Thank you.

We do ALL our grocery shopping at the Oakland Shop Rite for several reasons. Their prices, selection, accommodations, assistance, organization, quality cannot be beat. Most importantly they cater to the needs of all ethnicities offering special foods for holidays on sale when competitors raise the prices on these items. Even though this store is not the closest to our home it is the ONLY one we will frequent.

This is the cleanest nicest biggest and freshest ShopRite I have ever been to. Everyone was so friendly and the products were so fresh and well stocked. Whoever designed the layout wasnt too bright but I will not let that affect the rating. Also, just as several other shoprites, they have a large parking lot and an underground parking structure which comes in handy during inclement weather.

This place can be confusing and overwhelming for new customers But after a few times, you will be glad. The staff is friendly and a great variety of products, including gluten free items. If you dont have time to shop, online ordering is great. They always call if there is an issue with a product and offer replacements. The view of the Ramapo mountains from the top parking lot is amazing!

Shoprite of Oakland is an absolutely enormous grocery store with a humongous selection of food. They also have a nice plant selection outside when warm. Crowds get huge, especially on weekends and right before holidays, so plan ahead. The garage is also convenient for parking and has a huge elevator available. Make sure to get a discount card or youll be overpaying.

Very very sharp upgrade ...Attention truckers before u get to location the road is like little curve. So u will see the upgrade from the light 200feet before building. Keep driving once I pass the light thru curve and sharp upgrade NEVER NEVER slow down because I will get stuck until passing curve then it will be dead end and TRUCK parking back there.

It is a great store but its time for an upgrade. They need a full salad bar and they need to seriously upgrade the quality of vegetables and fruits. They should consult with the affiliate in Paramus about expanding some areas, including kosher foods. Should evaluate Wegmans and Whole Foods for ideas - without raising prices of course...

This store is not organized well. Shoppers should be given a map as soon as they come in the door. Items are spread out all over the area here with no organization. Frozen foods are far from the checkouts so you have to travel the entire circuit then come back to the frozen food aisles to avoid having your food melt on you.

We love this Shop Rite. Wide aisles, plenty of great deals, lots of light and great views. Parking lot is a bit challenging given that it is not level. Carts roll away when youre unloading your bundles. Ive seen many cars get smashed by wayward carts, so park strategically!

This is our go-to supermarket. Parking is pretty convenient, with an upstairs lot and an underground lot, and the staff are always very helpful. The layout of the store is a little unusual; it isnt your typical box with rows. But that kind of makes it fun to navigate.

This ShopRite has slightly different offerings than the inserra-owned stores. Both are very good just a little different from each other. The store in Oakland however has a very nice flower shop in the spring and it has a liquor store.

There is a lot to like about this place. It takes some getting used to because the layout is funky. It could also use some updating. Other than that, the prices and selection is great and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Hard to give a supermarket 5 stars but this place is HUGE and always has everything-including covered parking for when its raining or snowing. Employees are all super helpful. Prices seem fair.

Nice big one. Large large large with outstanding wine and liquor store. Thats really the best around. Excellent wine selection for outstanding affordable wines. Sushi counter is very good too.

Best prices, employees polite and helpful. Shop from home could use some work, to many mistakes with orders from Shop at Home and you end up going in and dealing with customer service.
