My walk in experience was great, obviously because everyone wanted that sale! After getting two bids for a new stereo and back up camera I decided to continue shopping other stores to see my options.. Car Toys was the cheapest for what I wanted. Called back told the guy I wanted the first option not the second and set my appointment. Came back signed papers after leaving we noticed the stereo on the bid was not the one we requested, called them they said theyd have it fixed when I came to drop my car off. I go in a week later to drop my car off and they never changed the stereo on the bid I had to wait for the new papers to be drawn up to sign them. Left my car overnight so it would be the first car worked on the next day. I was told it would only take 2-3 hours to install everything so the next day I call them asking for the status on my install and the idiot lady who answered put me on hold for 5 minutes to come back and tell me it was scheduled till 2pm. I said thats not what Im asking, she said they would call when its done. I hung up because she was to stupid to do her job. I get a call from the guy who sold me my stereo saying he heard I was unhappy with my install, I had to correct him because even then I wasnt unhappy yet. He proceeds to tell me he has bad news, the back up camera license plate cover was broken and they didnt have anymore in stock! So I wait longer finally get a call my car is ready. I go pick it up, get on meridian and look down at my dash to find my airbag light is flashing! Called them and they say bring it back. I go back and they try to set me a appointment to have it looked at! I demand them to find a way to look now and they all hide in the back while another idiot tries to tell me its not a big deal. How is having a airbag sensor flashing while driving no big deal when you have a new car that went in with no sensors flashing makes no sense to me but yeah fu dude! They fiddle with my car for 20 more minutes and its fixed. I wait for them to call and tell me my plate cover arrived... They never called, so I call (3 weeks later) and they tell me they have a bunch! Wth!? I go in have them install it and leave thinking Im finally done with the bs! Was I sadly mistaken.. Im waiting for my credit card to show up its been a month so I call they give me a different number to call. I call the other number find out they sent my card to the wrong address and that there system shows a note (get current address)... wtf!? They tell me Im 1 month late on payments and that Ive already gotten late fees!!! I ask why they never called when they had my number and knew my address was wrong? They couldnt give me a reason! I tell them I wont pay late fees when it wasnt my fault they mailed my card to the wrong address and failed to contact me after telling me I needed to wait a month before I could even make a payment! They removed the late fees and wouldnt tell me the address my card was mailed to. I wrote my current address on my credit application so this falls back on the idiots at car toys for entering the wrong address in the system for my pre approval! Finally get my card and try to setup my account with brand source, yes of course theres more issues! It wont accept my info!!! Im EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS EXPERIENCE!!!!!! Now yet again I have to communicate with idiots over the phone when all I want to do is setup my account and make a payment! PAY THE EXTRA COSTS AND GO ELSEWHERE!!!! All this was not worth the money I saved!

AVOID AVOID AVOID..... Scheduled my vehicle for an afternoon alarm install, which I was told the day before was only going to take 1.5-2hrs. Was even told to arrive 30min early cause they might be able to work on it soon. Well I got there 45min ahead of scheduled time. 1.5hrs later my vehicle is STILL sitting out front untouched! I asked multiple times how long its going to be before they begin. Eventually it goes back into the shop where there was 5 other vehicles and only 3 techs working. About every 30min I would look out into the workshop through the glassdoor and see all of them grouped up BSn with the manager & other coworkers. When they would see me watching theyd steadily break up and work for about another 15-20min then hop onto another vehicle.... So this entire time they are not working on 1 particular vehicle. Mind you 3 techs hardly working and 5 vehicles. The manager would keep telling me oh itll be 2hrs, then 3hrs, then 4hrs, and then 5hrs. He then explained it was taking so long because a previous customers vehicle was late, so everyones install time got pushed back. WTF seriously if someone is late, reschedule their dumba## instead of making everyone get pushed back causing more pissed off customers. At one point when the installers were BSn with another coworker I could hear them talking about how much they hate working there... And why that store has a high turn over rate with employees every year. I seriously recommend prospective customers shop elsewhere. Dont be fooled by the flashy lights and commercials. They were more than happy to take $800 for my alarm install, but once they have your money they could careless about you. Dont get ripped off! BTW on my previous vehicle I took it to another stereo/alarm shop and they had it installed in 1.5hrs.

I had Car Toys in Puyallup install my car alarm into a 1997 Subaru Outback. They did the install and when I received the car back, they left a note saying the drivers side door wouldnt lock anymore. I dropped the car off with the drivers side door working, so I knew it had to be an install problem. After telling me there was nothing they could do to fix it, they told me I had to buy a module to fix it because it needed to override the factory subaru remote system (which, by the way, was cut out and sitting on my passenger side floor. It was disconnected from the car, so that turned out not to be true). They took the car in again and fixed the problem within ten minutes. As I drove back home, I noticed blood on my drivers side window. It wasnt there when I dropped it off, and I started looking around my car to notice that my car tint (which was four weeks old) was now scratched up. Car Toys (as well as their corporate offices) didnt return my long addressing emails about the situation. While waiting for a response from them, I rolled down my passenger side window and the tint started peeling off at the door frame. This hadnt been a problem for the weeks prior to the car alarm install. I have yet to hear from them. I am writing this review as of November of 2014, and had my alarm installed in August of 2014. For a company that charges a premium price for their products and services, I feel they have become a junk company that will not stand behind their practices and installations. Three months they have had to at least apologize for this situation and I have yet to hear a peep from them, as if ignoring it will make it go away.
