Normally, I try to patronize local stores, but I will never again go to this particular Ace Hardware. I understand that they are smaller, so the stuff they have on hand is going to be less then a larger store, but they constantly seem to be out of stock or not have staff on hand for essential services like making keys. They also make returning anything incredibly difficult or impossible. Worst by far, however, is the customer service. The people I speak to rarely know what theyre talking about, and dont seem to want to do anything. They were not even willing to help put aside a few bags of soil so that I could send someone to pick them up for me because I have a physical disability. Sadly, I have gotten better customer service at almost every large home improvement store Ive been to. It is hard to justify the higher prices when customer service is lacking.

I love this store! The people are knowledgeable and friendly, its like a step back to when I was a kid in the 60s - 70s having a local store you can call and have something ready or drop in and find it quickly. I dont have to hunt for someone that works there like I do at Lows or Home Depot.
