This is a very untypical commendation of the car dealership named Auto Buying Service. I own a company with a similar sounding name (Doug Ehrlichs Auto Buyers Pro). I came upon Auto Buying Service because I hunt for really high quality, low mileage used cars for clients from around the USA, and found an exceptional Toyota Matrix for sale at Auto Buying Service. Whatever the reasons, and without laying blame on anyone, there were misunderstandings or certain things that fell through the cracks. So as we proceeded, the deal went from pleasant to a bit strained. So why am I commending this dealership? Because Auto Buying Service, despite the frustrated and costliness of the mistake, not only honored the deal as it was originally presented, but covered service costs for a couple of things found by a nearby auto repair shop we paid to do a pre-purchase inspection. So, after doing these items, their profit margin went from modest to what I believe was a loss. But they kept their integrity. As if there could be something else to stress out the deal, another promise that was made at the start, that somehow fell through the cracks, that would further discount the car into the red. What did the dealer do once this fact was made known to management? I remembered a saying, which I of biblical origin, commending someone who "keeps their promises even when it hurts," and then follows through with integrity. I am not saying this dealer is perfect or can satisfy every client. There are always good dealer who occasionally sell inferior cars, just as there are unethical dealers who have some exceptional cars to sell. And no one "bats 1.000," especially in the car business. However, after 28 years and representing over 25,000 car buyers around the country, dealing with all sorts of good, bad and ugly car dealers as I hunted my clients ideal car, there has never been another dealer who stood as tall as Wanda and Moses and their Auto Buyers Pro. These individuals are as committed to doing what was right as any car dealer Ive worked with. So, even when it hurt, Auto Buying Service did what was necessary to impress me and my customer. And to top it off, when my customer flew someone to fly to D.C. to drive the Matrix to Colorado. Moses was willing to pick up the driver at the airport, and send him off. So even after misunderstandings and lost profit, Moses picked up the driver AT 10 PM AT NIGHT. This was something that even the best dealers would not likely do for a customer. The driver was so impressed, calling Moses was and "absolute gentleman" and incredibly accomodating. While I am not confident that Auto Buying Service would welcome me if I were to find another car for another client on their lot, I will commend Wanda (owner) and Moses (manager) and this used car dealer to anyone. Check my previous commendations. I rarely write reviews for the hundreds of dealers I work with in a year. I am compelled to write review for this dealer for how they handled everything. Im not saying that you shouldnt keep up your guard with this or any other dealership. You must run all three Carfax and AutoCheck and VINCheck VIN histories. The vehicle of interest must pass a most thorough inspection by a reputable repair shop. However, if anyone were to ask if there is any dealer I might trust, without doing putting up my guard, I would commend that person to buy their car from Auto Buying Service. The Google name "Ernesto DePaule" is a pseudo-name. My actual name is Doug Ehrlich. And I dont showing my name and going on record, as I wholeheartedly commend Wanda and Moses to anyone who may do business with Auto Buying Service.

Selling a car: My wife and I walked in and where introduced to Roger who is one of the appraisers. He was very friendly and honest with us through the whole process. He spent about 30 min looking at and evaluating our SUV while we looked at their cars for sale. When he was done he told us our SUV was in GREAT shape but (as I already know) it gets 10 MPG so the SUV has taken a huge hit in value now that gas is around $4/gal. I was offered more money than any dealer was willing to give me. Private sale was not going very far at that point either. I was having a lot of problems selling it as a private sale because as soon as I said 10 MPG everyone lost interest. I was very happy with the amount Auto buying service paid me, and they never pushed me to sell them my SUV. Buying a car: Auto buying service sales team is GREAT to deal with. They were very busy the day my wife and I went to shop for a car. Our salesman, Mike, was very busy, so Betsy, who is the GM, took the time to show us the cars we were interested in. At no time did anyone push us to buy a car from them or tell me that I needed to buy now. Every car and truck we look at was in amazing shape. I ended up getting a 2005 Honda CRV that looked and drove like a new car. Alonzo in service was very helpful too. We filled out all the paperwork with Mike. He, like all the other staff, is supper friendly and not interested in pushing you to buy things you do not want. We liked how we were treated so much and the cars were such quality, we went back and bought a second car from them 5 days later. We ended up getting a like new 2003 BMW z4 with fewer than 40k on it for a GREAT price. This car is truly a diamond. I have never seen so many cars in such good shape on one lot. I also need to mention Alonzo, the service guy. He did a great job making sure our cars where properly detailed. He was extremely friendly, unlike many other places service guys. In short, if you have been looking for a quality car at a good price from an honest car dealer this is the place you have been looking for.

Auto Buying Service had a great web presence when I researched and after working with them I know why. I was initially contacted by them through my Craigslist add I was using in an attempt to sell my car. Most contact from so called buyers was to extract personal information and email address. Those that were not were low offers before even seeing the vehicle. These offers were equal or less than the offer presented to me by Auto Buying Service within a short visit to their office. I worked with Moses and Betsy. Both were extremely professional. Betsy, early on, provided helpful information regarding the pricing of my vehicle and reduced value regarding a previous accident. She recommended I contact my insurance company to request information on diminished value as the vehicle would be reduced in value by the minor accident. She also directed me to speak with the extended warranty company to be refunded for the unused portion of the warranty because this could not be transferred through a dealer and would only be transferable if I sold to an individual buyer. I returned a few days later (unannounced) and they had my paperwork done and me out the door in a short amount of time. I had a excellent experience with this company!!! I can say nothing but good things!
