he big brown is looking up at the UPS Store on Arlington Mill Drive in Shirlington. Why is it looking up? Have you ever stood in line a the USPS? Then you know why. For a small shop, they have plenty to stuff to meet my shipping needs. The staff of this owner-operated store has always been courteous and efficient on every occasion Ive been in there. As a matter of fact, they are even friendly when the FEDEX guy shows up with a package - no loss of holiday spirit in this store! Every package Ive sent has been quickly followed up an e-mail on its status, their printing inexpensive and quick, and they will even take delivery of my wine for a small fee. Recycling means a lot to me that they recycle packing peanuts! My only fault lies with the parking situation which can be a little hectic at times because of the busy nature of Shirlington. Since they are open till 8 pm on weeknights I avoid those tricky parking situations!

Horrible customer service. David Medina is the name of the employee. I came in to send a parcel and he just flat out said we cant use accounts and i explained little bit further and said i need to send this package and i dont work at UPS so i dont know how this works so is there anyway you can help me. And he just repeated the same thing again. Stop using the words that make sense to you but not to a new customer. Then i said i had a code and he told me oh you can go home and print the label. So i asked him i am standing in the store but you would like me to go home and print a label. Then he tells me you can do it from that machine in the corner. so at no point this person realizes that i have not done this before from all my questions and clearly telling him i dont know how this works. This is horrible customer service.

TERRIBLE customer service!!! I paid $125 to ship a package overnight on Christmas Eve. When the package was not delivered on time the store did not process my claim and was extremely rude about the problem. I learned that UPS refunds go through the individual store and when an incompetent manager fails to follow through on a claim it becomes nearly impossible to process your refund. This was simple: I paid a lot of money for overnight shipping. The service was never provided. I asked for a refund. Unfortunately, Ive been to the store several times and each time I call UPS they say paperwork has never been filed. Stealing from customers is a terrible business model. If you ship from this store I hope you never have a problem because you wont get your money back.

I tried to send a package to Canada, giving the destination postal code of "V5L 2B7" for Vancouver, B.C. The UPS man had never heard of Vancouver, and said that there was no such international postal code for them; then I waited for 40 minutes while he used the UPS web sites and Google in an attempt to look up the postal code. In the end he said I was simply mistaken and that there was no way to send my package. By then it was the end of the day, and I had missed the opportunity to use another service to send it. Had to go to the regular US mail office the following Monday and send it that way. They had no problem with the address. Obviously, I would NOT recommend UPS. This is the only location I ever tried. (Normally I use FedEx or the USPS.)

Services are horribly over priced. I called ahead to ask for the price for color printing and was told it would cost me $0.49 each page. I came in with a USB drive to print 1 document in black and white and one document in color. They ended up charging me $7 for 2 sheets of paper. I told them this was outrageously overpriced and the worker explained that it costs $3 to print from file. So somehow in their horribly thought out fantasy pricing schemes, it costs $3 for a B&W and $3 for a color print from file. On top of that, they charged me $0.08 and $0.49 for the actual B&W and color prints. According to the UPS worker, it costs $3 to open up each file from a USB drive. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

Disappointing experience at this location. Dropped off a paid/labeled package for delivery in late February. Handed it directly to one of the associates. I received an email from the recipient three weeks later that the package never arrived. I called UPS in Shirlington and they said they had no information on that package and directed me to call the 800 number. It seems the package was never checked in and could therefore not be tracked. Staff was unsympathetic. An investigation led nowhere. I love the Shirlington shopping area, but, unfortunately, I will not be using this UPS location for future needs.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Friendly customer service, care with packaging & reliable. I always go into shipping stores unprepared. Mostly because I am not a shipper and I look to the store for guidance. I was pleasantly satisfied!! I always need assistance with wrapping and figuring out what is the cheapest way to get my goods to its destination quickly and cost effectively. I probably drove the desk clerk crazy but she checked all pricing and figured out what worked best for my needs. GREAT location! Definitely go here for all future shipping needs!!

The UPS store @ Shirlington Village is one added benefit of living in the area. Besides their central location and easy access, they are a “very helpful, friendly staff.” All of them, even during their busiest times. I have observed their professionalism and concern for providing good customer service. I have used all of their services, from mailing packages, printing for my small business needs when my printer gives up on me, notary services, and sometimes enjoying their complimentary cookies while waiting. Keep up the good work!

The UPS Store in Shirlington made the madness of Holiday shipping so much easier! The line at the Post Office was around the block. Even though the UPS Store was busy, they were very efficient. They packaged and mailed all of my gifts in a few minutes and I walked out the door with tracking numbers and a coupon to be used the next time I need to ship something. I strongly recommend The UPS Store in Shirlington for all shipping and packing needs!

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I was guaranteed the arrival of my package to Canada on 12/15 between 5 - 7 pm and it never arrived. I paid $125 for this shipment. What a waste! No idea on when it will arrive either. I called the store and the lady just referred me to call DHL. She was rude and offered no help at all. I will never ship anything at this store ever again.
